Percy Shelley Predicted the Fall is FoLks like the Synder long ago in his poem

Ozymandias

I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

Go Mase. Go Zac. Go RK. Go Merika. Go Ms. Iceman. Go DNVR.

One of my favorite summer activities is heading down to Dove Valley to watch some Broncos training camp. Unfortunately because of the virus I won’t be able to continue my yearly tradition of getting as many players to sign my orange bucket hat as possible. I bought the thing in 2016 so it’s seen it’s fare share of signers come and go. I want to fill out my hat with as many signatures as possible so during the post practice autograph scrums I usually go to the lesser known players to increase my chances. Some of my favorites include: Deangelo Henderson, Kapri Bibbs, Billy Winn, Chad Kelly, Ron Leary, Riley Dixon and everyone’s favorite, the incomparable, Joe Flacco.

Mase, I know you are a huge Simpsons fan. I’m watching through the old seasons on Disney + and was wondering if I could hit you with some trivia questions.

Thanks for all you wonderful dudes do!
Oh, and Boulder High Sucks!

Hey guys, hope you had a great 4th of July! Nothing better than a couple beers and burgers with loved ones.

On to the Broncos:

Which set of skills players would you prefer, with 2013 Peyton Manning leading the team? Assume all players are in their prime:

Ed McCaffrey, Eddie Royal, Brandon Marshall, Shannon Sharpe and Clinton Portis

Or

Rod Smith, Wes Welker, Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas, and Terrell Davis

Bonus question: Who is your 4th receiver, Brandon Lloyd or Javon Walker?

Thanks for reading my question as always guys. Go Broncos!

Don’t read this out loud on the Podcast, but please read this.

One of the things I enjoy most about this podcast is your commitment to keep politics out of your Broncos coverage. There are some issues, such as social injustice, that should be talked about as it directly relates to the Sports industry. That was until this Podcast, which rubbed me the wrong way a few times, so bad that I had to stop listening after RK’s comments about “the same people that would be against a name change, would be all for a military mascot”. This was after Zak saying “depending on what side of the isle you are on, you might support a name change to the Washington Idiots”.

It may not have been your intention, but I took this as you calling all Republicans Racist Idiots that mindlessly get behind ideas that support the military. Please explain how generalizing an entire group of people into a single category like you did with Republicans is fundamentally different than racism? Just like all people of one race aren’t the same, neither are all Republicans. I can tell you right now that I know more Republicans that passionately believe that there is social injustice in this country, to include myself, but we disagree on how to address it. I would love to have that conversation with you guys in a different forum, but again I love that we use to keep politics out of the DNVR coverage. Through the use of context clues I know all 3 of you are Democrats and I don’t dislike you or generalize my opinion of any of you based on that knowledge. You are 3 of my favorite personalities and I look forward to your podcast every day.

I could prove through my Master’s degree that I am not an idiot, that I am not a racist for many other reasons, or that I am a Veteran that has seen how important it is support the military not just while they are at war but at home as they struggle with mental health issues and suicide at a higher rate than the average population, but I feel like all of that will fall on deaf ears.

My suggestion for you guys is to keep politics entirely out of your content, which I believe we would all prefer or remove your bias and keep it fair for both sides of the isle. I really wanted to cancel my subscription today, but I choose to judge you guys on your body of work not off of a few poorly thought out comments. This is just the opinion of one person, but I think that I am speaking for more than myself on this one.

Hey boys, I haven’t commented in awhile and I know I’m not the most prominent commenter in the world. But relating back to Iceman my fiancé is having significant spine surgery in around a month and on top of it I started a new job recently and it’s been quite the rollercoaster life switch. With surgery and probably changing our wedding time. But I will say as being the hugest bronco fan (biases aside) in the world you guys have made this better. DNVR makes me wish I was in Denver all the time to just experience your bar and positivities. Sorry for being all serious and sappy but you guys are great. Go Broncos and go my fiancé for a successful surgery. You guys are great and I appreciate the slight escape you provide. Hopefully all 3 of you are on. Thanks boys and have a happy 4th or July ??

Hi Zac, Mase, and sometimes lately RK!

I have been listening to the pod since the beginning of the year but I have yet to figure out why Mase celebrates the number 75. I’ve been waiting until it comes up again and playing along in the meantime like a guy who laughs at the inside joke he does not understand because everyone else is laughing.

Today I decided just to Google it to see if I could learn the answer but all I found out is that Andrew Mason is the founder and former CEO of Groupon and in 2012 was named the worst CEO of the year by Herb Greenberg of CNBC.

Anyway, I’m going to change my avatar soon because it is a picture of Garett Bolles and everyone hates Bolles, but before I do, please look closely at it and acknowledge that I photoshopped on a Breckenridge Brewery tattoo on his neck in honor of the guy in Indianapolis at the combine this year that said he was going to get one just like it. If you didn’t notice it before now, I understand because its hard to see so I won’t hold it against you.

I look forward to continuing to enjoy a long long off season with you guys!

mase, you mentioned something about trae waynes not being paid by the bengals yet and that got me thinking about something melvin gordon mentioned with his twitter beef with brandon stokeley. he said he was ‘unpaid’. originally i thought he mentioned underpaid considering he’s playing for less than what was offered from the chargers, but is there any chance he meant he actually hasn’t received his signing bonus yet, either?

that might also help explain why he chose to stay away from the workout sessions with drew, too. i feel like some fans mightve been quick to criticize him for seeming disengaged with drew and the rest of the offense, but no doubt he received advice from his agent (like trae waynes did) to stay away until that gets settled

MY BOYS! I hope that you each had a safe and enjoyable Independence Day Weekend. On the topic of unique burgers, I highly recommend the Reuben Burger from The Bagel Deli, if you are ever very hungry. It is incredible! . . . With no on-field OTAs in 2020, limited training camp, and few or no preseason games, what type of Week 1 should we expect across the NFL? Will it be akin to Week 1 in the 2011 season (no OTAs that offseason) or more like a preseason game with lots of mistakes, penalties, and other snafus? Do you think that defenses or offenses will fair better in Week 1 and early in the season? Will the Broncos still being a defensive team, with some of the game’s best defensive minds on their coaching staff, be advantageous for them, especially early in the season? . . . Here’s to a great week ahead, along with some inspiration from Benjamin Franklin: “Be civil to all; sociable to many; familiar with few; friend to one; enemy to none.” DNVRMY SALUTE!

Hey guys,
Hope you had a great weekend. Mine could’ve been better, got sick and thought I had covid but I got tested and was thankfully I was negative..My question for today is Von Miller the greatest Denver Broncos draft pick? I can’t recall any other Broncos draft pick being this impactful & legendary through out their career. Thanks guys for all that you do.

So it’s July ! And this is about the time I start reaching out to my league members for fantasy and collecting buy in etc …… I’m a little concerned I believe Brandon McManus about the pre-season Because reports are confirming what he’s saying so let me ask u 2 questions at what point In training camp or even now will u feel 80% or better about a full football season #1

#2 ….. If there will be no preseason games what does that mean for udfa and all these guys on the bubble their saying 15 guys will be cut before camp.even starts ,????

Hope you fellas had a great 4th!
Wondering if you guys still had plans to break your longest pod record this off season? 🙂 I miss those 2.5 hr + pods.

If the patriots of the last twenty years are considered the biggest Dynasty in the NFL, who are the top 5 runner up teams (can span any number of years and doesn’t need to coincide with the last twenty years)?

Where would you rank the broncos?

Lastly, what teams come to mind as being on the verge of becoming a Dynasty only to have one decision go wrong and completely fall off?

Looking forward to your answers. Keep up the great work as always! Thanks for the amazing content day after day. It is something I most look forward to.
