Without limiting yourself to position or Watson. What would be the most exciting/ valuable player in all of football you would like to add to the Broncos, and what would you give up in order to have him?

Hey DNVR Broncos gang, but mostly RK, only because I‘m here for all the Watson talk. I’ve been a staunch Lock defender, even accused as such in the Discord, I got a Lock jersey for my birthday, and I’d give up 9, 2022, 2023 1sts, 2022 2nd, 2023 2nd, and a 2023 3rd, along with Lock, and I guess if the Texans want another player, maybe Sutton to replace Will Fuller, I’m fine with it. The Broncos in turn sign Will Fuller as an FA to replace Sutton, Deshaun Watson is the QB for the next 4 seasons, the TE room is stacked, and all would be well in Broncos Country. I think everybody would be happy. When was the last time (outside of the SB win) that all of Broncos Country was happy and united? I mean you can answer that, or we can keep waxing poetic on how soon or not soon Deshaun is a Bronco. Up to you. Cheers all, go DNVRmy, and go Broncos.

Why Drew Lock better than Daniel Jones? Or Why is Daniel Jones better than Drew Lock?

Fellas,
Mase has seen some things out of Justin Fields that remind him of Deshaun Watson. If that is a good comparison then wouldn’t it make more sense to trade up to get Fields? It will be cheaper with draft capital, player contract, and you won’t have to worry about tearing part of the roster apart.
How say you?

Other than thrower, what single position on this team could use a blue chip upgrade – say we could get one ROY type guy from this draft, at which position could said phenom make the most impact for this team?

Damn, dreaming again….
Ok, it’s draft day and we have made no changes at QB. The Texans call on one line and the Jags call on another. Texans will trade you Watson and Jags will give the #1 pick for the same compensation. Which trade do you make?
Keep in mind, Trevor Lawrence is going to be cheaper for the first 5 years and you get him for 15+, but Deshaun is proven greatness and you know what you are getting, where as anyone coming out of college is a bit more risky.
Not going to happen, but it’s fun to drool over the ideas. LOL

Saw someone on Twitter today say they’d offer Houston a trade of Kendall Hinton for Watson, straight up. But, come on, the Broncos would be nuts to do that, they’d hang up the phone immediately. Does Watson have a wristband in Canton? Umm, only one QB with his name in the HOF in that deal, and he’s already a Bronco.
Seriously though, wouldn’t it make more sense to give up the picks needed to climb 7 spots to #2 if you wanted a new QB than the King’s ransom it would take to get Watson. I get that draft picks are unknowns, but I feel like the price difference would be big enough to make it make sense.

Hey guys,
So im just enjoying some product from the green solution.
If the the dnvr team had superstar abilities like players have superstar abilities in madden. What would all of yours abilities as sports writer/ Sports commentator be?
Would zac have an ability where his laughter gets his interviewee tell the truth?
I guess you could include hank and andre too.
Can’t thank you yall enough.

Hey DNVR Family,
With talks about getting a new GM and the moves that could be made, I would like to hear what each of you three would do. Everything from free agency, resigning our players, trades, and draft. It this needs to be covered on a later pod, that is ok by me.
Thank you and stay AWESOME my friends.

I have been day dreaming about the thought of Watson on the Broncos. You just need an average defense and watson to be a playoff team. I seriously think there is a debate to be made that he is better than Mahomes. I think Mahomes has better weapons and coaching that makes him look better than Watson. It reminds me a lot of the Tom Brady vs Peyton Manning debate. Out of all the teams the broncos seem the least likely. Unless he wants to prove to be the best quarterback why would he join a division with Mahomes and Herbert. Makes more sense to go to the NFC seeing how it is mainly filled with older quarterbacks. It would be an easier path to the playoffs. One can dream though

Happy Friday guys! I love the talk about Watson yesterday, if only Bill O Brien was still there we could probably get Watson for a 2nd rounder drew lock and Royce freeman.
As much as I would love Watson if he does in fact become available I think the most likely landing spot would be Miami… I know it sounds crazy but it makes sense. Their defense is ready, they have more than enough draft capital to make it happen (Houston would get their 3rd overall pick back) as well as the 18 and Tua. Miami doesn’t have to worry about Tua developing properly, and then the dolphins can get an Allen Robinson or a Kenny Gollady to Sign easily with Watson at QB and a good defense ready to roll. Houston would be able to see if Tua is the guy and get two first round picks to help on defense which they desperately need. Just my two cents on what could make for an interesting off-season!
Thanks for the Pod as always

hey guys!
i’m officially throwing my hat into the george paton ring as my preferred candidate. easily the most well rounded of the 5 with experience in pro and college scouting. and did y’all see how the vikings manouevered the draft this year? *chefs kiss*
also, i haven’t listened to confirm whether he said this or not, but mike klis apparently said that the broncos are likely looking at a 1st or 2nd round qb this year. i still can’t see them taking one in the top 10 but i can definitely see them taking another one in the second. it’s desmond ridder season baby! (if they take kyle trask though…)
dan birk
update: ridder’s going back to cincy ?
although that 2022 draft might turn out to be something special with howell, rattler, ridder and carson strong. maybe the broncos won’t be crazy if they skip this qb class

Fellas let me tell ya it has been crazy at work the last few weeks. However this pod is a golden moment in my day every day. You guys are simply the best and I want to thank you for all the work, wit, and wonder you put into it.
Now to football. I remember being so freaking excited when the Broncos signed Fangio. I thought it was a great move. A polar opposite to the demeanor Vance Joseph had and a higher football IQ. But generally this season people talk about him as if he is some kind of dummy who doesn’t understand simple game flow. What is missing with Vic? What is keeping him from being an elite head coach and where would you rank him in the league among coaches? Are there worse coaches out there who look better because they have better players?
I want to like Vic a lot but he has me puzzled.

MY BOYS! Happy Squeaky Bum Talk Friday. Which player(s) would you be willing to include in a trade for Deshaun Watson? Which player(s) would you not be willing to include, if any, in such a trade. Have a wonderful weekend. DNVRMY SALUTE!

Bolles has been named a second-team All-Pro… makes me remember so many of us, including me, thought the Broncos 2020 draft was an A- or a B. All great choices, but what we needed most was an LT. In hindsight, how good does the Broncos‘ draft class look now, eh?
Juan Pablo Zubillaga
Hey guys,
I grew up in Venezuela, so I’ve never played football. Eventhough I’ve been watching the Broncos and the NFL in general since 2003, I guess I don’t really have an educated enough eye for football talent. I’m kind of a stathead tough (especially with regards to baseball), and as I was looking at Drew Lock’s numbers, and trying to compare them to other QBs, I found out they look eerily similar to Trevor Siemian’s while in Denver:
Completion rate:
Lock 59.1%
Siemian 59.3%
Yards per game:
Lock 219.6
Siemian 218.7
Touchdown rate per pass attempt:
Lock 3.8%
Siemian 3.6%
Interception rate per pass attempt:
Lock 3.0%
Siemian 2.9%
Yards per attempt:
Lock 6.6
Siemian 6.8
QB rate:
Lock 79.1
Siemian 79.6
I’m actually kind of a Drew Lock supporter, and I think I can see it with my untrained eyes that he’s a better QB than Trevor, but my question to you is this: what differences do you guys see (if any) between them that makes you think Drew is not just a second-coming of Siemian?
PD: The only real difference in their stats is QBR, which I unterstand is a more nuanced metric. According to it, Drew’s been the better QB (49.5 vs 41.9).

Hey Fellas!
Hope y’all had a Super Wild Card weekend! First off, I don’t know if it could happen but if the Buc’s make it to the Superbowl I’m going to need Mase to be on the Tailgate.
To my real question, which current players do you think we can try to restructure? We’ve said there’s no way we keep Von on his current contract. Sportrac says he’s only worth 10.3 million which seems low, but it also say Phillip Lindsay is worth 11.5 and a 2nd rounder tender isn’t near that. I’m sure y’all will talk about it more the further we get into the off-season. Do you think they talk to these guys on nonguaraunteed contracts as soon as the new GM walks through the door? Bouye and Casey are the big ones, but like a Kareem maybe? It would undoubtedly help pay Simmons and our other RFA’s.
Orange and Blue all over
Do you think the upcoming difficult amd potentially messy negotiations with Simmons and Broncos legend Von Miller played into Elways decision to step down as GM? Elway didnt “win” last time and perhaps a part of him prefers to stay uncropped in photos this time around.

MY BOYS! Let’s get some DNVRMY odds on who the next Broncos’ GM will end up being now that there appears to be three final candidates. Who do you think will be the GM? Do you have any preference? If so, why? Finally, do you foresee a scenario, that Benjamin Allbright previously mentioned, in which the Broncos hire George Paton as GM and Champ Kelly as Director of Player Personnel? As always, thank you for entertaining my—and the DNVR community’s—questions. DNVRMY SALUTE!
