Gday boys. A few weeks ago I was gushing about to prospect of DeMeco Ryans and dreading the thought of giving up draft picks for a coach who left his last team. Happy to say I was wrong! What an introduction for Payton yesterday. An adult. A leader. A culture changer. Almost every question answered with a story. We have a coach who will lead. A coach who players will respect. Man, I wish I could hibernate through Australias upcoming winter and wake up in September for the new season! Our next game seems a lifetime away! Can’t wait! Fired up! Let’s go Broncos!!! My favourite takeaway from yesterday’s press conference (aming many other positives) was the welcome news of the working relationship between Sean and George Paton. I’m very glad GP is staying around. He’s an excellent GM and the organisation will thrive in the long run through continuity, not chopping and changing. Here’s to many years of success for Payton & Paton! All the best from England, Christopher

Following that press conference, how do you think George Paton will fair? Do you think he will be here for most of the Sean Payton era, or will they move on after the draft or in a year?

Hey Guys, I am excited for the DNVR and Denver RivALZ to End ALZ Nuggets Watch Party on February 25th, don’t forget donations to the Association can win you a signed Jamal Murray Ball and other great Nuggets items. My comment(s) today counters the point Kendall Hinton HOFer made last Pod. It would be better for the Chiefs to lose than to win. Players want to go to places where they can win championships and it would sway more players to the Chiefs with a recent Super Bowl win. Plus the Chiefs would tie the Broncos and Raiders for overall SB wins and they’d be unbearable all offseason. Payton had it right by saying go with the Eagles and never wish well to your division rival. The one thing I’m wondering through all of Payton’s Coaching hires is, who will be the Special Teams Coordinator? They will play a big piece in our success. The years we have been competitive we’ve had solid special teams. In fact, the Tebow season wouldn’t have been possible without the clutch leg of Matt Prater and the solid punting from Colequitt/the kicking coverage. I also find it interesting we haven’t seen much posts hyping up the Sean Payton hire from number 3 himself. I feel the moment we knew that Hackett wasn’t it and we should’ve realized was being such a player appeasing coach, allowing egos to inflate, letting Gordon talk Hackett into starting him primarily after the Raiders fumble trouble, and saying he studies analytics and player history with his decision making and then sending McManus out to kick a 64 yard field goal. Which McManus is 0-3 from after his attempt in Seattle. Either way glad we have Payton as Coach, Go DNVR and Support Denver RivALZ!

Just a comment about the candiru on the river topic: It’s a parasitic fish whose spines allow it to wedge itself in the gills of larger fish, where it drinks their blood. However, just because a dude says, “OMG this fish just swam into my pee hole,” doesn’t mean that’s how the fish got into his pee hole.
