You have just won $1,000,000 but the catch is every time you spend a dollar the voice of Samual L Jacksonās loudly screams āThe Denver Broncos Suckā (for RK it would be his favorite College football team) out of thin air. So if you spend $75 dollar the voice would say āThe Denver Broncos Suckā 75 times. Would you accept the deal?

guys….
these past few years as a broncos fan have been rough. having sports taken away from us made me realize that life is short and i haven’t got time to see the broncos maybe turn this around and i gotta root for a contender.
with that said, i’ll be rooting for the chiefs from now on. appreciate everything y’all have done and maybe i’ll be back rooting for the broncos when they’re good idk

Guys I do believe we have seen our first account get hacked!
Orange and Blue coming for YOU
Hey guys how would you feel about Thomas in the first, Lloyd cushenberry in the second, and combining some picks to get back into the second to get best wideout available? I think as deep as this wide receiver class is we could still get two very good receivers and have an excellent line! Iād say, 75, percent of our biggest needs would be filled. Love to hear your thoughts on it.
Twoods16
What are you thoughts at spending a later round pick on Yasir Durant? He played Left Tackle at Missouri protecting our lord and saviour, Mr Lock. NFL.com has him evaluated as a swing tackle or guard value.
Thanks guys!

After listening to Mondays pod I am in the same boat as RK on Denzel Mims. Before all of the pre-draft stuff he was a guy that most people projected in rounds 3 or 4 but his combine hero workout has suddenly vaulted him into 1st round realms. I just donāt see him being a guy you wanna bank on being a stud all because he ran a 4.39 at the combine. In both the games against OU that I watched this season, when he was put up against our number 1 CB, Parnell Motley, he struggled SEVERELY. This includes a zero catch performance in the Big 12 Championship. And letās be real Motley was not a world beater. I just get wary of a guy that struggled against above average corners being the guy you want at 15.

I finally caught up after two weeks away from the pods! Mase, how do you handle being a Bucs fan while covering the Broncos? Iād love to be able to move back to Denver and cover the Broncos after I graduate, but I know that I may not be so lucky and I will likely have to take whatever job I can.
McCaffreineAddict
follow your dreams! with the internet, all things are possible if you also have talent & work ethic.
Hey fellas. Hope youāre all healthy and staying safe. I have a question for Mase. Before free agency, you spoke of the Broncos not being a cash rich organization, and that we may not be able to spend as much of the cap space as we had because of guaranteed money needing to be put into escrow. With the contracts we accumulated over this time, was there less gaurnteeās because guys like Bouye and Casey are on the last couple years of their deals? How were we able to spend so much of the cap? Thanks guys, Wilma OUT.

Hey guys!
In your time as athletes and/or journalists, what is the most ridiculous workout routine you’ve witnessed?
I swam in high school. One of my teammates was also a football player who ended up playing at cu. Once a week, after practice, he would take bricks and stuff them in pillow cases. He would them sling them over his back, hop in, and walk, underwater, the length of the pool. Both 25s and 50s, no breath.
As for football, I do have a question that came up recently regarding Shelby Harris. Why is the ability to bat down passes undervalued over the other forms of creating pressure on the QB, and is that part of why his eventual contract came so far under his market value?
MarkITsnatch
Sorry for the double comment, but in the spirit of April Fool’s Day, what’s your best prank? Mine’s putting a couple of lifesavers in the showerhead after my shower in the morning. The next person doesn’t notice they’re getting coated in sugar until they’re drying off, and start sticking to the towel. They then hop back in to try to get it off, and it gets worse

Hey guys, pretty sure I posted my comment after the podcast got posted, so I’m going to re-post it here!
Hello gang. Iām trying to sneak my comment in before the end of the show, but with 37!!! comments ahead of mine, short, sweet, & to the point is the way today. I was watchibg Jurrell Caseyās top 100 placememts, and all other players could about him were positive things. I even read that this season he stripped Melvin Gordon in LA and recovered the fumble to secure a 23-20 win over the Chargers. How is it possible we got him for a 7th? And RK said teams need a big 4 on defense, it feels like the Broncos have a big 3 with the potential to add a 4th. If we add a guy like AJ Epenesa in the draft, does this defense just start to obliterate offenses in 2020? Or should we get the cheaper free agency pickup? Thanks again DNVR gang, one love, Go Broncos.
PS we can be on a first name basis, just call me Spencer from now on.
PPS if this 14 team playoff picture is true, it aids the Broncos tremendously to just get us in.

Hey DNVR Family,
I want to first start this off with Mase regarding toilet paper. I would find out when the store gets their shipments in and try to arrive in the first two hours of them opening if you can. We usually have toilet paper for about two hours after our truck gets in and the rest of the time it is empty. We only get shipments two days a week.
Now for the football question. My friend and I were talking about past players of the NFL and Joe Montana came up. We started to talk about him and we can up with a hot take: if Joe Montana failed in the West Coast system, the West Coast system would have died. What would the NFL look like without it? Are we far off or in the ballpark with the hot take? We had come to the conclusion that since he succeeded in the system other coaches had adopted it and put their own twist on it.
Thank you and keep up the AWESOME work.

Guys… are we leaving out the obvious choice for a “1-day contract”… Demaryius Thomas! Much closer to retiring than Strap or Wolfe and also had an all-time Broncos career! Was shouting at my phone as you were trying to come up with names for the list.
Also, I was watching the Bleacher Report Madden GOAT tournament on Twitch and I was furious that they gave Noah Fant the jersey number 87 and my main guy E-Mac was bumped to #86. As much as I like Fant, he’s not even close to an all-time Broncos TE and how dare the disrespect the true #87… Lastly, they had Prater as the Kicker not Elam. SMH… (that’s “shaking my head”, Mase)

Hey friends. fyi, R.K.’s audio quality was not very good. Zac & Mase were better quality. John should have never said they would work on an extension for Phil if he did not mean it! We know it will be a motivator for Phil but his momma may tell him to go get his $ from another team? We owe her a ton for him being a Bronco to begin with!!! GO PHIL

Hey guys,
I am being prompted into commenting because of the kind words by The Count, a couple of Pods ago. I always assumed you guys over that side of the pond find my ramblings a bit of an eye-roll. The difference between our similar nations is fascinating to me; remind me to get into the ‘off of’ instead of just saying ‘off’ sometime this off-season š
I am struggling to keep up with the podcast now, because I no longer have an hour commute to work and back. It is a little daunting when you know you have 8+ hours of Mase, RK, and Zac to catch up on. Keep hearing comments I want to reply to, but too far behind now for it to make sense. I’m slowly getting into a routine anyhow, so will be back with idiotic questioning soon.
On the Covid19 front, we are all good here. My wife had it bad, but we’re both totally recovered and all good. Thanks to all for their kind words and support.
Stay safe (and clean) out there. Roll on the draft and some sort of sporting event, oh, and on that front, I simmed a Madden game and watched it in Broadcast Mode with a beer. Raiders beat us 42-10. It was just as painful as in real life. Could e-sports be the future? Hmmmmmm…
Right, onto Draft Pod now to give my reasons for absence there too.
Lots of Love and keep up the great work and content

Hey yāall!
Yesterday it came up about players who always end up on a championship team but arenāt really key contributors, which got me thinking(thatās a scary thought). Over a full career, would you rather be the perennial backup QB and win multiple Super Bowls, or be the unquestioned starting QB and all the fans have your jersey but never reach a conference championship? Thatās all from me today. Iāll see myself out.
God bless

1. Great question posed by Sir James Radio yesterday..my favorite non-Broncos football game took place November 1, 2008 at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock, Texas. It was the first time College Gameday was broadcast from Lubbock. The announcers for the game, Kirk Herbstreit and Brent Musburger, provided the big game, national-broadcast feel that I wasnāt used to as a Red Raider fan. Watching Texas Tech slug it out with the #1 ranked longhorns for four quarters with the whole country watching was euphoric and the ending was incredible. With UT holding onto a 1 point lead, Texas Tech had 1st and 10 at the UT 28yd line. 0:15 on the clock…QB Graham Harrellās pass was deflected into the arms of UT safety Blake Gideon for the game sealing interception and my heart stopped…but wait! He dropped it! 0:08 left, 2nd and 10: Graham Harrellās back-shoulder throw is caught by Michael Crabtree at the six yard line, he breaks a tackle and scoots into the end zone for the 39-33 victory with 0:01 on the clock and the fans rush the field. I still get chills watching in on YouTube.
2. Sorry for the long description there…I really got into it. Thanks for what you guys do. I know in these times it would be easy to just take the time off and not do the pod. I appreciate the fact that you donāt. At my job Iām seen as an āessential employeeā and am not afforded the opportunity to quarantine. Businesses and hospitals still need essentials and equipment to operate, and I am tasked with providing them. I canāt pretend like Iām not anxious everyday and aware that Iām potentially putting my health on the line daily. I take every safety precaution I possibly can but I canāt deny that itās still scary even when I act like itās not. Anyway, thank yāall for providing an entertaining podcast and a chance for some of us to take our minds off of the ever-present danger.
Sorry again for the long comment. Iāll try to keep it more brief in the future.

RK’s story yesterday about being undefeated in football games brought up some memories. Here’s a not so fun cautionary story I’d tell my players back when I coached and this is for any younger listeners we may have here.
I got rather lazy with my academics around my junior year in high school. It got to the point where I hadn’t turned in several assignments in my Spanish class and come progress report time i was saddled with an F and was forced to sit out a game as a result. I was no great player by any stretch of the imagination, I was however our starting punter.
We lost that game i sat out to a score of 14-0 against a team that really had no business being in the game with us, nonetheless getting the W…….on the back of 2 punt returns for touchdowns.
I felt miserable as I know those wouldn’t have happened if I was playing. The back up punter did not stay home and went flying down field to try and make the tackle. He got 0 pratice time and didn’t know his assignment. That all fell on me and my failure. So please younger listeners DO NOT NEGLECT YOUR STUDIES!
As per my question yesterday about favorite all time football game, I’d still like to get Mase’s answer.

Hey family,
What are your favorite concerts you’ve been too?
Last year, I saw Tash Sultana in Madison and she was incredible live! The crowd was great and the Spotted Cows were cold.
Atmosphere always puts on a good show too.

The French 75 is a cocktail made from gin, Champagne, lemon juice, and sugar. It is also called a 75 Cocktail, or in French simply a Soixante Quinze. The drink dates to World War I, and an early form was created in 1915 at the New York Bar in Paris –
We should probably be drinking these, right? Certainly when the DNVR bar reopens these should be an off Menu special for subs.

Onion Booty Bronco
Brohemian Rhapsodies,
Itās Onion BOOTY! Weāve discussed the possibilities of trading up to draft a receiver but we havenāt explored the specifics of such a deft maneuver. What teams would realistically trade with us (and why)āand what would we have to give up? To me, the Browns and Jets seem the most likely trade partners.
Also, letās squash this whole Shelby Harris swatted ball ruining our first round draft pick thing. Yes, we wouldāve been in a better position to draft a top 3 receiver. BUT, my furry little friends… That would mean Drew Lock is a 3-2 quarterback, not a 4-1 quarterback, and given how he didnāt play particularly well against the Raiders, we may not be talking about him with as much clout as we do now. That would make 2 bad games for the young wolf, not 1. Onion Booty will always take the win, for winning culture has evaded us for many a light year. Winning over aye thang.
Love,
Onion Booty

Hey fellas, I was wondering what your take is on the new playoff format? How big of an impact do you think this is going to make? Piggy backing off of my question yesterday do you think this makes Denver a near lock for the playoffs? Also do you think either 7th seeded teams will have a chance?
Wildcard
Sorry for another double comment, but letās say Mase is right in the future of this season and the games are played in empty stadiums, what teams do you think benefits the most and what teams do you think it hurts the most? I would have to think it would hurt teams like us, KC, and Seattle the most.

Hey guys …. So as im hearing the constant knock on Drew by national media …. I got some insight …..Greg Rosenthal put drew lock at 32 ….of all starting qbs in the nfl as far as value goes ….his claim .. is that he didn’t see anything significant to feel as if he’s going to be the answer (now bare in mind ….at 32 he has him below tyrod taylor, andy dalton , mitchel tribusky a bunch of qbs lol ) but he further goes usually qbs drafted where he was drafted don’t turn out well i remember pff echoing these same sentiments ….. Its as if they intentionally ignore what Drew put on film because of where he was drafted ???? ……. I dont understand that concept ……
Since Russell wilson weve seen year after get qbs drafted wrong ….. Andre luck #1 overall in the same draft as wilson and cousins taken in the 3rd or 4th ….mahomes watson after tribusky , dak 4 rounds after dak …lamar jackson the 4th qb taken …….. Why cant they make it about the play ? Why are we basing it on analytics is this a fair assessment ????
Nurse_dave
Hey gents,
Thank you for a great distraction from āthe virusā Iām a kid from aurora currently living in San Francisco and working as a ER nurse fighting this terrible pandemic and the pod helps me stay sane in this crazy world. So what do you gents think are the chances that we will see a overhaul of the broncos logo / uniforms any time soon. I would love for a new logo or better yet a return to the 80ās logo and color scheme. I just feel that the current logo has served us well for the last 20 years and itās time for fresh start. One major hurdle I see is the lack of clear leadership with the Bowlen family feuding. Anyways stay safe gentlemen and the nurses and doctors of this country are doing all we can to get things back to normal before the season starts. Thanks and go broncos
TKFreese
This may be an unpopular opinion, but am I the only one that thinks Henry Ruggs is getting overvalued? I feel his going to be a very good receiver, but Iāve been seeing multiple Mock drafts of him as the first receiver off the board. Over Lamb and Jeudy? I think everyone is trying to find Tyreek hill and are valuing him at such a degree because he seems to be the closest thing weāve seen. I know his not John Ross, he has decent routs and very strong hands, but I truly feel his WR3 in this draft. Are people just valuing speed. I understand speed kills. Just my opinion. Iām sure all 3 will have very good career. And Iām happy with all 3, but does Denver value Ruggs over the other 2 because his speed combines with Sutton so well?
TKFreese
Also quick quarantine question, what shows I should be binging on Netflix in this current world?
LONESTAR BRONCO
When Iām caught up on all my DNVR pods, I frequent the around the NFL podcast. Yesterday they released their QB value chart (based on contract and skills etc) and our one and only Drew Lock was ranked 32nd. Behind well pretty much everyone but some include Dwayne Haskins, tyrod Taylor, tyrod Taylor, Phillip rivers at 30 mil a year. Are we insane or are they insane? What did I miss?
domsiglow
Hoping I made got this comment in on time. Sparknotes SAVED ME on multiple occasions during some projects last year in class. Anyway, Iām assuming you guys already talked about this but is Phil gone? Should we be worried? Also, what would be the cost to move up in this draft and to what team?
