Is it selfish that I want the broncos to draft Kyle pitts to come to Denver because he went to my high school a few years ago? Anyways on to my actually question who would you guys pick you have to stay at 9 and you have to either pick between JOK and Micah Parsons because with Micah there’s extreme talent but character concerns with JOK a little bit less talent but no character concerns?

What’s up fellas!

What would it take to get some Minshew Magic in Denver? I’d much prefer Minshew to Darnold, but the conversation has been that Darnold is more likely. Why is that?

If we don’t move up to get a QB in the draft, I’d love to trade for Gardner and get a real QB competition between 2 young quarterbacks who both have upside. Then… pick Pitts, Penei Sewell, or Slater if one of them is still around at pick #9. If not, try to trade back to the end of the first and grab Najee.

Non-Broncos-related idea… What are the chances that you guys could get your ladies on the pod at some point?! I’ve heard some of Allie’s work (which is awesome), but would love to hear from Mase’s wife and Zac’s girlfriend at some point. It would be fun to hear some inside scoop on you gents from the ladies! Possible 3-ring circus idea perhaps??

Fellas,

Patton made enough moves in free agency to make the roster as complete as possible. That makes me think he is leaning towards a trade up for a QB. Knowing that he will have less draft capital to help the roster this year and next, he made the moves he needed to in order to put as many band-aids as possible on the team in order to get to the 2023 draft and then refill the prospect pool.

How say you?

Who is the best Bronco of the last 25 years who played at last four seasons that will likely never make the ring of fame?

Fellas! I’m becoming increasingly sad because I get the feeling Fields stock is on the rise. I really want him to be the Broncos QB for the next decade plus. Mac’s stock is tumbling it would seem and I’m honestly terrified of the Broncos drafting him. I project Mac to be similar to Alex Smith – good but not good enough to win a championship. I’d rather have Lock next year than drafting Mac. Lol I thought it was funny seeing Billicheck shake his head at Mac missing throws lo

If we trade for up for Fields what are the key steps the Broncos will have to take to ensure he is successful? I imagine trading up will take a lot of draft capitol and with a lot of our players being on their contract year – is it realistic to be optimistic about the years after next?

Might piss off a few here, but we need to look at things like teams do, not like fans do.

I loved Phillip Lindsay, but he is suited to a zone blocking scheme. The hiring of Pat Shurmur changed the scheme from Zone blocking to Power Gap blocking, with pulling guards and tackles. Lindsay struggled in this scheme. He’d see a flash of space and cut back into the hole. Then the defense would fill the spot. Phil can’t pass protect and was not so great at catching the ball. Melvin is suited to the Power blocking game. He succeeded as it suits him. Phil doesn’t fit this offense. Elway, you killed Phil as a Bronco by moving to Shurmur. His skills only suit a zone blocking scheme.

Now Drew Lock…. We all hope our QB is a hidden prize, we are likely to overrate our players while the rest of the league is objective. The Broncos at the end of the season, simplified the offense, making the check down the first read and gave Drew a chance to improve. He’s still go challenges to overcome, but the emotional give him “one more year” could leave this amazing defense wasted if we don’t get an offense rocking. You’re gambling if you think Drew can be the man. I’d trade up and get a young stud. If he fails, I gave it a go.

What would you all do?

Hey gang!
I asked this question during the season and before he was locked up long term, but now that he is in Denver for a while, what do you guys think of a Shelby Harris jersey? I’m looking to restock the closet since I have a PFM and a Von jersey, and Phil is gone 🙁
All of this predraft coverage has me itching for the draft, and I normally don’t care that much about it. You guys are killing it! I’m assuming you guys will be doing a live draft again this year? It was great tuning into that last year and watching your excitement on drafting Jeudy.
Thanks for all you guys do and for building this great community!

There’s a lot of lowgrade mumbles about Justin Fields not only being an Ohio state QB but, being someone who crumbles under pressure.

I guess people didn’t watch the clemson games in his two playoff appearances. He had the win wrapped up in the game they lost with a miscomuncation in the end… How do you think he compares to Russell Wilson? I see a lot of the same

Hey guys!

Today is for the birds; Specifically, the Philadelphia Eagles. So one of two things will always happen. Either one team will blow out the other, or Denver will lose right at the end of a close game. It’s so bad that, in fact, Denver won one game at the Vet or Lincoln Financial Field… In 1986. Personally, my favorite moment between these two teams was seeing the return of Weapon X. Philly fans have a long standing tradition of taunting players as they come out of the tunnel, shouting “SUCKS!” as each name is called out, even for former players. In 2009, the same continued as they went through the defensive starters… Until everyone saw 20. The stadium erupted as he came out of the tunnel, blocking out the sound of the PA announcer saying “At Safety, number 20, Brian Dawkins”. Even Swoop greeted him when he got into the field. Denver lost the game on a last second FG from David Ayers. Anyway, is Manning’s destruction of the Eagles in 2013 count as the best, or does something else come to mind? And what about your Bucs, Mase? They’re 2-2 in the playoffs, and in 2002, that stout Tampa Bay defense completely shut down Philly’s offense in the NFC Championship. Are they eagles to Tampa Bay what Pittsburgh is to Denver in the playoffs?

Let me double up today since I missed yesterday’s pod….

Do you really think that QB is a direction that the Broncos wanna go in with a headcoach essentially on a 1yr hotseat and a potential new guy waiting in the wings?

Or am I assuming that Munchak isn’t the heir apparent and they’ll look to get his approval in this move also?

Hey guys, with the Broncos schedule coming out for this year and it being tied for 5th easiest, how do we not draft a qb? If we push it down the road, and Lock doesn’t show he’s the guy, we’d more than likely be out of reach next year. Easier schedule should mean more time for the rookie to develop. Thought?

Thanks for all that you do!

Hey guys, with the Broncos sitting in at 9 on day 1, and potentially not being able to trade up for a quarterback (maybe Paton doesn’t want to lose draft capital in the coming seasons? ) is there any options in the draft next year? I know it might be looking too far ahead, but I am curious on your thoughts.

I also want to give a shout out to our own Wyo-Bronco. It happened holidays, but he finally took an arrow to the knee and asked his now fiance to marry him! It happened over the holidays, but this was the second opportunity I had to remember to comment! Let’s make his day and give him the big DNVR salute!

If the Broncos miss out on the top-5 QB’s in the draft, any day 2 or 3 QB’s you’d rather have as a back up or 3rd stringer?
