Heys guys, all the “LeBron could have played for the Cowboys” chatter got me thinking. If you’re an NFL GM, and you only know the following information about each guy, who you sign?
1) An NBA power forward to play tight end
2) An EPL player to be a kicker
3) An MLB centerfielder to play QB, or
4) A lacrosse player to play slot receiver (the Belichick special, yuck)
Go Broncos!

Greetings Gents,
Been out of it the last couple of days, but Mase, I joined you in not watching the golf match over the weekend and I have the same opinion. i need sports and golf doesn’t count. I feel like the same people who would watch golf, baseball and nascar for 5 hours are the same people who will say that soccer or rugby is a boring sport. Really?? Dudes whacking a ball and getting in a cart and people driving a really fast car around in a circle is more exhilarating than watching guys chase around ball for 90 minutes….. SMH man.
For my broncos related content of the day; I was wondering whenever you guys are at a game do you watch the game more as a journalist and focus on maintaining journalistic integrity? or do you guys watch the game as a fan, by enjoying the moment and scream and yell like the rest of us when Garrett boles gets called for holding?
Love the content and keep up the great work.

I agree with your gold sentiment, my rule is it you can’t die doing it, it’s not a sport it’s a game…..#skydivingrules

Hey fellas.
When you guys play fantasy football do you watch any of the plethora of shows about who to pick, start, bench, etc. or do you guys just know enough about players around the league to go with your gut? If you do watch any of the shows I’d be interested to know. I’d love to beat my principal this year.
Thanks gang!

Guys I have great news! I’m writing this comment from a bar, that’s right a real live bar! Albeit by myself as I’m the only one here but there is a Seahawks Niners game on tv And the drinks are cold so it feels great. As much as I hate NC at least they did this opening right (seriously I have an advent calendar shaped like the Rocky Mountains with a Breck Brew on it for every day until I move back to Colorado!). *Zac sings Rocky Mountain high*
But I digress, I read an article today talking about the assistance Peyton gave Lock in helping him craft an off-season plan and it made me think of Mase’s conclusion about the golf match that Peyton is positioning himself to be an owner of our team. That would explain a lot about how much he does to help develop Drew, he wants to put his fingerprints on his future QB he will inherit if he buys the team. I don’t doubt some of his efforts to help Drew are simply Peyton being a good guy and great ambassador of the sport, but like Mase said, Peyton doesn’t do anything on accident and this just adds fuel to the fire that the Sheriff will be coming back to the team.
I see twelve more Super Bowls in our future.

What’s up my guys! I love throwing these hypothetical questions at y’all! Go back in time to the 2016 NFL draft, one missed flight, could of completely changed the history of the Denver Broncos. There was an interview in which Dak Prescott said that he missed a flight to have dinner with Gary Kubiak and John Elway, if he hadn’t, he thinks he very well may of been drafted by Denver. I’ve read before that Kubiaks guy was Prescott, so let’s say they have that dinner, and Elway agrees, Prescott is the guy, Elway allows the cowboys to trade up and take Paxton Lynch, they wait and get there guy, Dak Prescott. Maybe they trade back and take Derrick Henry? Maybe Michael Thomas? These may just be pipe dreams, but how would y’all of felt if Denver had gotten Dak? With that 2016 Defense but with Daks rookie year instead of Zacs boy Trevor Siemian. Do they repeat? At least they make playoffs! Anyway, I actually have always loved Dak and really wanted him to be a bronco, he doesn’t deserve to be the highest paid nfl player, but I think his a top 10 QB. His better then some of the hate he gets, anyway, where would the broncos be now if Denver had drafted Dak? Maybe without the stress of being forced to talk to Mr.Fornite everyday, Kubs doesn’t suddenly retire. Definitely would of changed a lot, anyway, as always, you guys are the best! Thanks DNVR!
TKFreese
Also if you think about how much the cowboys wanted Paxton Lynch but lucked into Denver’s idiocy, and got Prescott in round 4 instead, sometime the NFL is just whoever is the luckiest team.

Annoying as it is to see the broncos underrated again this year, the last few seasons have caused it. Our response each time is that our defense is great and our offense could be also, and I agree to both of those. What I think is being way undervalued is the highly established, experienced and badass coaching staff we have. I believe we have 3 current/former head coaches, a QB guru, an OL god and one of the best defensive staffs headed by Mr Fangio. Oh and John Elway over the top.

Hey guys. The Jersey Challenge was a fun idea! Props to SirJamesRadio. I enjoyed listening and had to resist commenting my pick for each team on every pod. Instead I’ll put the cherry on the top, if he doesn’t mind, and ask: among the 31 current, non Broncos player jerseys you’ve selected over the course of the game, which are your top 5 that you buy right now?
Here are my top 5
5. Shaq Barrett (Pewter)
Gotta rep my hometown CSU Rams, former Bronco, awesome pass rusher, and the new Buccs Jerseys are lit.
4. Anthony Barr (Purple)
A dominant linebacker for the Vikings that I don’t think is talked about enough, and arguably the best former UCLA Bruin in the league. Purple is my favorite color and The Bruins are my boys.
3. Chris Harris Jr. (Powder Blue)
Despite the shaky departure, it will take a lot more to taint everything that undrafted stud did for Denver. He’s always in my heart. And do I even need to bring up those new threads in my reasoning?
2. Deandre Hopkins (black)
Debatably the best receiver in the league, he gives all his home game touchdown balls to his mom and my last name is Hopkins too. Easy pick.
1. Christian McCaffery, (Blue)
son of Broncos (should be) Ring of Famer Ed McCaffery, Colorado kid, And the BEST DAMN non-QB player IN THE GAME. Disagree? Catch me outside. It breaks my heart that there wasn’t a path for him to play in Denver like his pop.
Lastly. Saquon Barkley EASILY would’ve made my list. But left him out cause the Giants are my second favorite team and I already have a Blue Barkley Jersey.
Happy Bar reopening!
I have spoken, MileHighMike.

Gents!
Congratulations on the reopening of the DNVR bar, I am very much looking forward to some Breck Brews when I’m able to travel and come to Denver. I’m glad to hear you’re able to reopen and do it as safely as possible.
With all the talk this offseason about tackles and guards, I have been wondering about something basic. What makes a player better suited for being a guard vs a tackle or vice versa?
Golf question for Ryan: You mentioned using a push cart on Monday’s pod, and I am wondering is there one you’d recommend? I’m a casual golfer and with quarantine budgets being what they are I’m looking on the reasonable side.
Thanks!

Leave it to PFF to put out this Bolles is the most underrated bronco article on a “Wednesday” OMG !!!!! OPEN YOUR EYES !!!!! WTH TAPE ARE THEY WATCHING!!!!!! His hips go vertical when he gets into his get off…. that causes him to not be in
the right position like he should …….he HOLDS WHEN HE GETS BEAT SO WHATEVER THE HELL UR QUANTIFYING JUST KNO HED GIVE UP SO MANY MORE SACKS IF HE DIDN’T HOLD !!!! This dude has been pacified his ENTIRE TENURE AS A BRONCO !!! And your gonna tell us ?? He’s underrated ??? PFF STOP !!! JUST STOP THIS IS WHY YOU LOSE CREDIBILITY !!!! OPEN YOUR EYES !!!! I watched game by game by game Phillip Lindsay had 1426 all purpose yards this year but he had at least 300 or so yards called back because Garret HOLDS WAS HOLDING 41 HOLDS IN 45 GAMES !!!!!! when the average is 5.5 a season he gets 41 in 45 games !!!!!!! Sorry I had to vent because pff has so much leverage In the football world and this ??? THIS !!! IS UTTERLY IRRESPONSIBLE ! DUDE HURTS OUR TEAM AND WE HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS SERIOUSLY
Question for the day ? WHAT OS GARRETT BOLLES PAYING PFF the only news publication that gives him praise … No one Nfl.com, football outsiders NFL Network ESPN no one thinks bolles is the answer at tackle none of Denver media no one …But PFF ???? I wonder why that is ??

MY BOYS! I really enjoyed yesterday’s podcast, while I planted four hydrangea shrubs in my backyard.
Here are the answers to yesterday’s trivia question. Obviously, jersey number 88 and jersey number 87 are first and second, respectively, for touchdown catches by Peyton Manning receivers. These 268 TDs were thrown to those who number 88 in Marvin Harrison (128), Demaryius Thomas (36), and number 87 in Reggie Wayne (73) Eric Decker (24), and Torrance Small (7) in Manning’s rookie season. In third place, we have jersey number 81 with 48 touchdown catches. Teammates of Manning to wear that number and to catch a TD from Manning when wearing such number are Marcus Pollard (34), Joel Dreessen (6), Bryan Fletcher (5), and Owen Daniels (3). In fourth place, we have jersey number 44, which Dallas Clark exclusively wore for Manning touchdowns, in which he caught 44 touchdowns from Manning. And in fifth place, we have jersey number 83 with 31 touchdown receptions in which Brandon Stokley caught 15 touchdowns from Manning wearing that number in Indianapolis, 12 by Wes Welker, three by Qadry Ismael, and one by Trevor Insley.
With respect to possible limited attendance at Broncos’ home games this season due to social distancing measures, Colorado law and the Metropolitan Football Stadium District’s operating agreement requires that 2,000 half-price tickets per game be made available for public purchase for each Broncos’ game played at Empower Field at Mile High. Legislative action by the Colorado General Assembly may be required to suspend that law should only season ticket holders be allowed to attend games this season. I am not sure if a state of emergency will still be in place come the late summer months and into autumn granting the governor authority under the Colorado Disaster Emergency Act to suspend such a statutory regime. That is something to keep an eye on.
Another Peyton Manning touchdown pass trivia question for you all today. Which jersey numbers between 10 and 19 and 80 and 89 did Manning never throw a touchdown pass to during his career?
Thanks for indulging me by enduring my lengthy comment today. DNVRMY SALUTE!

Also, I hear you have reopened the DNVR Bar. Great to hear. Copied an article that may inspire you with social distancing. Again, no need to read on the podcast.
Go Broncos and best wishes on the bar re-opening,

These 6 restaurants around the world have found creative ways to enforce social distancing
By Drew JonesMay 27
As the potential impact of the coronavirus pandemic became clear, restaurants and bars were the first targets for closure. But with stay-at-home orders expiring in many states and economies across the world beginning the early stages of reopening, restaurants and bars also have begun the process of restarting dine-in operations.
Keeping disease prevention in mind, establishments are getting creative with the use of barriers, props and other objects to enforce social distancing and make their dining spaces seem more lively.
While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention still recommends safety measures for diners such as frequent hand-washing and face coverings in public spaces, many restaurants have taken extra steps to help keep their employees and visitors safe. Here are some of our favorites from around the world.
Blow-up dolls at The Open Hearth
The owners of this restaurant in Greenville County, S.C., took a fun and unusual approach to seating capacity guidelines: They filled empty seats with blow-up dolls dressed up to look like fellow diners.
The restaurant has taken the additional health precautions of requiring employees to wear masks and checking temperatures, but one of the owners told a local station that instead of roping off tables, they wanted the establishment to appear full.
“My grandson told me they look kind of creepy,” owner Paula Starr Melehes told WYFF4. “But I think, when people walk in, they’re going to laugh.”
Mannequins at The Inn at Little Washington

This three-star Michelin restaurant in the D.C. area is preparing for its upcoming opening by filling the dining room with mannequins wearing 1940s-style outfits. The restaurant, known for its theatrics and glamorous environment, wants to make the space feel less empty as guests return to reduced capacity.
A spokesperson told Eater that the performance art project will remain “within the whimsical vein of the Inn’s reverently irreverent approach to hospitality.”
Inner tubes at Fish Tales
Social distancing at this restaurant in Ocean City, Md., will be enforced in a more physical way than inanimate dolls. The restaurant rolled out what it calls the “bumper table” to help guests maintain six feet of distance when it opens.
Diners step into a rolling table surrounded by an inner tube so they can eat, socialize and walk around the space without worrying about getting too close to anyone.
“We wanted to come up with a creative and fun way to keep everyone safe and compliant, but still bring back the social and festive and party aspect of the event,” the inventor of the bumper table, Erin Cermak, told the Baltimore Sun.
Pool noodles at Cafe Rothe
With Europe preparing for summer tourist season, restaurants have begun opening their doors as restrictions lift in different countries. In Schwerin, Germany, this cafe celebrated its reopening by having guests wear straw hats with colorful pool noodles attached to the top to encourage social distancing.
To ensure compliance among diners, the cafe uses the motto “Keep the social distance,” but even at about half capacity, it was still a learning experience.
“It was a perfect gag and of course it was funny, our customers were really into it. But what it did show to us [was] how difficult it is to keep a distance of 1.5 meters,” owner Jaqueline Rothe told CNN.
Greenhouses at ETEN
The restaurant concept Mediamatic ETEN is testing ways to promote social distancing while letting diners still enjoy a night out.
The restaurant at Amsterdam’s Mediamatic arts center ushered in a project called Serres Séparées, French for “separate greenhouses,” that allows diners to sit in individual glass enclosures along the Oosterdok marina.
While serving, staff wear plastic face shields and gloves and set meals into the glass boxes by using a long wooden plank.
“We are now learning how to do the cleaning, how to do the service, how to get the empty plates out again in an elegant way, so you still feel taken care of nicely,” Mediamatic’s Willem Velthoven told Reuters.
Cardboard cutouts at Five Dock Dining
Cardboard cutouts of human beings sitting at tables inside the Five Dock Dining restaurant on May 14, 2020 in Sydney, Australia.
In Sydney, this modern Italian restaurant deployed a low-tech strategy to help the dining room appear fuller. Cardboard cutouts of customers have been placed in random seats around the restaurant, and a background noise plays that emulates the din of a crowded restaurant. Only 10 diners are allowed at a time since restrictions were eased in mid-May, but the owner has taken reopening in stride.
“The cutouts and background noise are a bit eerie when you first walk in,” owner Frank Angeletta told 7News. “But once you’re sitting down, it’s a bit of fun.”

Couple things now that I have caught up:
1) Mase I think Madden having an option to play with an empty stadium is a pipe dream. Madden has forever been a cookie cutter game with minimal changes when a new version is dropped. Up until they allowed for downloadable custom rosters that was really the only reason to buy the new version.
2) I hope to god Run Phil Run plays like his hair is on fire this year, that swagger he brought on the field is something that Gordon does not have.
3) For Mr. B
4) All this jersey talk makes me really excited to see what we change too, but i think Mase will approve of my next purchase: a Steve Atwater 1998 Home jersey.

On tuesdays pod there was a comment about if Peyton was the owner then he should hire Eli for the Joe Ellis role. I just want to be the one to say that nepotism is always a bad idea!! As an Oklahoma fan I will say this as my experience: Bob Stoops hiring his brother Mike as a co DC and essentially pushing out Brent venebles (which we see how turned out for him at Clemson). In my opinion, Mike Stoops cost the Sooners that 2018 National Championship and a decent chance at another the next season. The 2017-18 Sooner offense was historic with Baker at QB and all we needed them to do was hold that 17 point lead but couldn’t. That Rose Bowl is still in my nightmares! This is just why I am so against hiring family because they always get to stick around for far too long even when they suck! I mean can you believe we had Baker Mayfield AND Kyler Murray and didn’t win one! That’s what nightmares are made of.
