Hey gang, Had to chime in on the mustard debate. I was so-so on mustard until my girlfriend recently turned me on to adding mustard on popcorn, and it’s amazing! Don’t knock it til you try it!

I commented on the wrong pod last week. So here is my comment. Hey guys. While we wait for things to ramp up again, I thought it would be cool if y’all every once in a while took a chapter, topic or event from Mase’s book on the broncos and discuss it and educate us

I saw Drew Lock trending today on twitter and got very scared that our beloved HCL (I hope you guys get this) said something insensitive but alas it was just an ESPN clip that had the Broncos taking him at 15 among all active players in the league. I saw something recently that I got a chuckle out of. It said “Everyday, Twitter has one main character and the goal is to never be that person”. Have a blessed day folks and stay cool out there! It’s hotter than a “hoochie coochie” (as the great Alan Jackson would say) here in Oklahoma!
Gents! Just wanted to give Superbowlen a shout out for stepping up and creating a Madden league much better than the Xbox league could ever dream of being. Also, wanted to shout out my gracious opponent TheBigTebowski for whom I just played in our wildcard round. This community is awesome, and it feels good to be apart of something so much bigger than any of us as individuals.

Mase, 100 percent agreement on mustard. Not a fan whatsoever of the processed mustard. My opinion is the same with pickles. Will not get the pickles on any fast food/fast casual burger or sandwhich. Any ways, now that i know your take on mustard what about hot sauce? Admittedly i put that stuff on everything! My favorite hot sauce of all time is called gator hammock. Made in florida and it is amazing! Hard to find sometimes but 100 percent worth it. Take care and god bless!
P.S. Can I get a “75” for good times sake.

First for Mase, you are correct about childhood loyalties being tough to shake. However, when MY Arizona State Sun Devils must meet the Colorado Buffaloes on the field of battle I am ALWAYS pulling for the old maroon and gold. Four years of the blazing heat really bakes the fandom into you.
Next for RK, being able to stream all my Colorado teams was a big reason why leaving CO wasn’t as big of a deal to me. I loved the time and all the people I met in AZ, but now that I’m back home I appreciate it more than ever.
Oh, and Boulder High Sucks, Go Knights!
Zac, have you ever told us your favorite ice cream flavor? My #1 is moose tracks, with strawberry as a close #2.
I’ll think up some sort of signature sign off soon.

Did you guys ever get round to trying vegemite? If not let me know and I can send some over. Also does RK or Mase want a Brisbane Broncos Jersey? I have an old jerseys I could send your way. Keep up the awesome pod guys I look forward to listening during work in the land down under.

Let me start by saying a big thank you to Ben Gerding and the LA Chargers. That’s how you finish a game!
The first round of the playoffs is in the books and boy was it action packed. RK’s Kyler Murray was silenced, Mark Ingram was unleashed, Joey Bosa became best friends with Derek Carr, and of course Foles did it again. The last prize for wildcard will be ordered today and then on to the Divisional round we go!
Some juicy matchups this week:
Aaron Donald, the sack record king, sets his sights on Teddy Bridgewater in a showdown between the Detroit Lions and Greenbay Packers.
Atlanta Falcons’ Calvin Ridley will need to have his best game to date against maybe his toughest challenge yet – a Washington Deadskins top 5 scoring defense led by Stephon Gilmore.
The Titans – led by the human joystick Saquon Barkley – look to put Joey Bosa and the rest of the Jaguars defense back in their place. In a match up up that has two
Divisional rivals squaring off for the third time in a split series.
And last we have: Phil Lindsay and the Baltimore Ravens square off against yours truly and the Denver Broncos. Coming fresh off a bye a Broncos defense that has some DAWGS like Fletcher Cox, Vonster, and Earl Thomas are ready to make some heads roll.

Hey guys, I hope all is well with you and your families.
It is really become palpable the kind of people and leaders the broncos have been drafting, trading for or bringing in free agency. This kind of leadership is very important for a team on the field but is 100 times more important for the community, I am proud today to call my self a Broncos fan and a member of the DNVR family.

Any updates on Callahan and/or James recoveries?

MY BOYS! The unseasonably cool, wet weather along the Front Range today got me thinking, what are your favorite and least favorite inclement weather games in Broncos’ history?
I have to go with the Week 7 Monday Night Football Game played between the Packers and Broncos in Denver on October 15, 1984 when a blizzard blanketed the Rockies and produced the most snowfall during the playing of a game in Denver. The Broncos won that game 17-14 via two fumble recoveries returned for touchdowns by Steve Foley and Louis Wright. An honorable mention for me would be Denver defeating the Jets at the Meadowlands on November 30, 2008 in a steady, windy rain. Jay Cutler really excelled at throwing a wet football. (John Elway really struggled throwing a wet football against the Chiefs in an October 1995 Denver snowstorm). I thought that win would be a catalyst toward a playoff run and changing the fortunes for the franchise. Little did we know what would unfold in Weeks 15 through 17 and after that season.
It may be recency bias, but my least favorite inclement weather game is from last season, in Week 15, at Kansas City. The Broncos looked completely disoriented that entire game, especially on offense. It also was just another reminder of how much I hate when the Broncos have to play in Kansas City in December and how much ground the Broncos need to make up to be competitive with the Chiefs. At least there’s hope for a better performance there in December of this year!
It can’t be said enough, but thanks be to you all for this podcast that you bring us each weekday. DNVRMY SALUTE!
Hey DNVR!
I’ve been subscribed for about a year now and have absolutely loved the service and articles. This (if I got it in in time) will be my first comment, so I’ll try to make it a good one.
It is pretty much agreed that the NHL and NBA championships will come with an asterisk since so many things have already gone awry with their seasons, and more problems are likely to arise like key players being sidelined for potentially whole series with Covid. Nobody, however, seems to be talking about an asterisk for the NFL season. With all these NFL regulations you guys mentioned, what is the likelihood that we see an asterisk added to the NFL season as well?
I also wanted to note something I realized listening to other’s comments. All of Broncos Country is aware that #1 is for John and #3 is for Pat. Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t #2 for you (the fan)? That gets overlooked by Broncos fans constantly, and I think it is really telling as to what this fan base cares about. We aren’t entirely into this team for ourselves. We care far more deeply about the players, the coaches, and the owners that helped to make this team what it is. I can’t imagine there is a franchise with a better story or truer fans. We are Colorado’s first; we are Colorado’s forever; we are Broncos Country.

Hey thanks Ryan for clarifying with fans about Kapernick and also thank you for expounding on what if …. With that defense in 2016 we would have made the playoffs with Kap if not more if he hit a stride ….. I love to think we’re all a bronco family but some bronco fans ….. Who took issue with Kapernicks protest love the false narrative of … He got opportunities he turned them down or messed them up ….or he wasn’t that good …….THATS JUST NOT TRUE AND THATS WHY IM SOOO FRUSTRATED WITH ELWAY ……he said out of his mouth “We offered Colin a contract and he didn’t take it so that’s where we are with that ” that was so unfair to Kap …. And it’s hard for me to believe how serious the NFL is when they won’t apologize for what happened to Kapernick and WONT SAY HIS NAME !!!!! …… But I appreciate Denver media for telling the truth about Kapernick and Denver Across the board it’s refreshing ……
My question is where’s everyone lol!!! When can we expect to see the rookies in Denver especially kj …and Albert Ochocinco ??? I Kno Vons house is open if they haven’t found a place yet maybe not cause of covid tho hmmmm lol but u guys have an idea when all rookies should be here ?
Another Ryan
The fellas may have already answered this, as I haven’t listened to today’s podcast yet, but the NFL probably can’t mention Kaepernick by name based on the terms of the non-disclosure agreement that both parties signed in 2019. A link to a New York Times story on the agreement is available at: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/15/sports/nfl-colin-kaepernick.html
