Unpopular opinion, but I don’t think we should resign Lindsay. He can’t catch. He can’t block. He can’t run up the middle all the time. It’s quite the tell to the defense when Phil is in; he can “only” run to the outside. Why pay someone when he can only do 1 1/2 of the 4 things he should be doing?

To continue on with the accent discussion from yesterday, I think one of the coolest sounding accents in the states is the Italian American accent. I’ve recently been watching a lot of mob movies like The Godfather and now I quote those movies all the time in the accent. One of the great lost accents in history.

Just watched this documentary on Frank Kush in a class and it’s crazy how Kush is a hero at Arizona State, but in terms of Denver sports, he’s the mean, a**hole coach who our chosen son Elway didn’t want to play for. Two totally different views of him, but he played such an incredible role in both football teams I support. Just random thoughts

If we assume Drew’s ceiling is good but not elite. Shouldn’t the Broncos hedge their bets with a rookie QB this year? A QB the Broncos like could fall to them at #9. We’ve already burned up two of Drew’s cost controlled years. Last season Lock was a loss controlled QB. He ensured the Broncos got a good draft pick. Let’s not waist it. Why not reload at QB now instead of possibly waiting a year or two. This way we’d save draft capital, and have a better chance of finally finding ‘The Guy’. If we go 9 & 7 or 8 & & 8 how much draft capital would would it take to get back down to #9?

Besides former broncos, are there any non- broncos players (or for mase- non Bucs) you guys enjoy rooting for?

In my opinion coaching has been killing the Broncos for years, and a lot of that is on Elway’s hiring and the philosophies that have been brought in.

On offense they have Fant, Jeudy, Lindsay, Hamler, Albert O… all guys who are dangerous in space and best suited to get the ball quick and go to work, yet the screen game was non existent and you guys talked at length yesterday about the atrocious use of Lindsay.

On defense, Von is being talked about as a guy who should only be paid as the 27th best rusher in the league, but are there really 26 better pass rushers? No, but the reality is that Von isn’t a “Fangio” linebacker, and he can’t get 18 sacks if he’s in pass pro half the time. Same with Chubb. I’ve heard it said that Simmons isn’t really a Fangio safety, and Alexander Johnson isn’t a Fangio linebacker either.

Seeing all of this stay the same after watching it flat out not work last year , it’s frustrating that the narrative is still that the Broncos are just a QB away. Shurmur can’t use any of the weapons on offense correctly, and I think that goes for Drew as well. And while I think Von deserves top 15 pass rusher money, he needs to be in a defense where he can play HIS game to earn that kind of salary.

I think this team either needs a major change in philosophy and coaching style, or a complete roster overhaul to fit the schemes the coaches are trying to force into place before they’ll be successful again.

I love Zac’s Australian accent and no disrespect but I completely agree that you guys talks SLOW. I listen to you at x2 speed and you more or less sound like regular talk. You’re definitely chilling in conversations ?

While we’re at the topic of listening to audio in x2, ESPECIALLY the old intro, but also the new intro is incredibly crisp at double speed. Give it a try, both are masterful at double speed.

Hats of to LDJ, his idea of swapping Shaq for Von is the only good idea I’ve heard in this whole situation. If we release Von and it’s Chubb and Malik Reed, we have a good rush, but who spells them? When Shaq was here he spelt Von and D. Ware. That’s why the rush couldn’t be stopped.

Now… for a little Aussie accent training for you boys, to up your skill set. LOL.

The American and British accents are spoken from the tip of the tongue. Aus is more back of the tongue and Scots are from the back of the Throat. Kiwi’s well that’s just a mess. LOL

i remember y’all debating whether the broncos had the best o-line in the division and i think mase was torn between the broncos and the chiefs. are you ready to go there now, mase? i mean niang might be good if he can stay healthy but you have to hand it to the broncos without any debate, right?

With all of the releases along AFC West foes’ offensive lines in recent days, including Kansas City’s this morning, do the Denver Broncos now find themselves with the most stable, and dare I say, best, offensive line in the division? If right tackle gets sorted out, the Orange and Blue could be best in the West at that spot for the first time in a long time. Have a terrific Thursday preparing for the massive snowstorm! Hey guys thanks for the great conversation yesterday around Phil. I agree that Elway had messed this up. I think if I were George Paton I go ahead and put the original round tender on Phil. At this point I almost think market value is going to be a better price than he would give us. Then I would absolutely be prepared to match anything reasonable like 5 million or under. If he goes over what you are willing to pay fill that spot in the draft. Thoughts?

Guys – teams that aren’t in cap hell have a HUGE opportunity to jump right into the playoff mix. The quality players that are getting released is surely going to hurt some of the better teams and will no doubt knock them down a peg or two. 2021 is ripe for the pickin’ fellas for teams with cap space. I know of one!
