Hey amigos. It’s really simple for the Broncos and Andrew in the 2020 season. Win 10, 11 or 12 games and win their 17th. AFC West title! Anything 9-7 or less and no playoff appearance is a failure for Elway and the Godfather. Drew needs to be healthy and stay on the field!!! His win total is not as important as him starting all 16 games!!!!! That’s on Fangio, period. GO AMERICA

Hey Zac, I hear you stole my spot in the Madden league! I knew I made a good decision when I went promo Code RK! Jk I’m happy you decided to get in it, will make it more fun for the full league. I am just hoping another team drops out soon…
Stay well everyone

Hey Guys,
I’m hearing a lot of talk from Raiders fans about Maxx Crosby being almost as threatening as Nick Bosa. His highlight videos certainly look intimidating. Do you think he lives up to the hype?
Also, who do you think will have the most menacing pass rush against the Broncos this season? It looks like the Raiders and Chargers both have strong weapons to exploit a weakness at LT. Gettin’ a little concerned about a young Drew making buddies with some spooky ghosts who might overstay their welcome in Denver.
Thanks for the input

Hey gang. Longer than usual today, I will wrangle these back to normal when we have 30 comments again, but today’s environment deserves to be spoken about. I’m going to briefly touch on this. BLM. And you guys are awesome because DNVR is always on top of stuff, I also hope everything that has happened and is happening in Denver creates a positive, progressive enviroment for all of these issues. I think you guys know me to be all hype, well I’d let everyone know I love everyone in the DNVR community, listening to this podcast, and interacting in the lounge. Ok. Like RK has stated, there is quite literally no easy transition from human rights to football, but we’re gonna do that here. I think you 3 have all seen the Bleacher Report article Jesse Taylor shared, shoutout Jesse, in the Broncos Lounge about the Broncos having the 21st offense, in this off-season of course. I went through the list and counted 11 teams I thought the Broncos offense today is better than, because all of these teams I am about to share with you were ranked ahead. The Jaguars, Giants, Texans, Eagles, Seahawks, Raiders!!??, Steelers, Bengals, Lions???!!!, Cardinals, and Rams. Of these 11 teams, I can understand arguments for the Texans, if Will Fuller takes the step necessary to become a full time #1 receiver consistently, and the Cardinals, who could have a seemingly explosive offense with Kyler, Drake, D-Hop, and Larry F. But that means at worst, I see the Broncos as a 10-12th ranked offense, not 21st! I know lists are made just to get people riled up and suckered into sharing it. I know I’m being a bit of a homer, but I think our offense, with a new, renowned offensive coach in Pat Shurmur could be every bit as explosive as anyone else. I just see our personnel matchup better than or equal to every single team I just listed, especially the freaking Jaguars and Raiders. What do you guys think? As always, we are blessed to have you guys working every week during these crazy times, and I will show my love for y’all when I make it out to the bar this coming season. My name is Spencer Post, and I’m a very proud member of the DNVR community. Go DNVR, go Broncos, and go America!

Hey guys. Thank you so much for the time you spent in the opening segment addressing the horrible issue of racism that our country faces. As a fellow white male I take seriously the part that I have played in allowing this to happen. And for anyone reading this thinking (that’s not me….I’m not racist) we ALL have a part to play in the reconciliation of our country. Keep up the good work guys. Proud of y’all.

Zac help me out here please…. OPEN YOUR EYES!!!
John Elway said so himself he wanted to give Lock the same type of learning process Rodgers got with Favre! There’s no better way to do that then trading for Rodgers!! Foreshadowing at its finest.
On a serious note if Lock gonna kill it this year I can’t wait to watch.

My BOYS! First, I’d like to say what a moving start to this podcast that was. Made my day.
Now, on the football side. I want.. No- NEED! I NEED to talk about Tim Patrick today. Do you think he makes the roster this year? If he does, what does he contribute as a relief man for Courtland Sutton? And finally, if he were on a team where he was not asked to be the guy but was a starter, what would his production look like? What if, say, he went and started next to Davante Adams for the Packers with Rodgers throwing him the ball? Zac will probably say that’s a surefire way to end his career, but what would he be to them? What about in Houston opposite Brandin Cooks?
You guys do phenomenal work on a daily basis. I can never wait until tomorrow’s pod!
Keep it good

Fellas, thank you for taking time to talk about what’s happening in our country now. Like you alluded to, this isn’t an issue of politics, it’s about people and their right to a dignified and safe life. Y’all already had me for life, but between what you said on the pod and Spano’s update on the bar Friday night, I know this is a place and community I’ll cherish as long as I’m able to.
Stay safe everyone, be kind to each other, and let’s all do what we can to make changes that afford others the peace and quality of life so many of us are afforded simply by the color of our skin. Love all of you

Curious, did you guys see the photos floating around the internet of Lock working out in a Denver park with Phil and about 10 other individuals. Do y’all have/know any further details on this? Other players involved, thoughts on NFL possibly still having a June mini-camp, etc. Personally, it seems they should be able to figure out a mini-camp situation as states like Cali, NY, and nearly all others have green light this sort of sporting activity.

Hey guys, there was a game during the 2000 season where the Broncos almost blew it against a winless Chargers team, however Gus Frerotte led the team to the W with an Ed McCaffrey game winner.
It is a very obscure game in Broncos history, but one that, for some reason, I will always remember.
My question is a weird one. If the 1998 Broncos Offense was paired with the 2015 Broncos Defense, and the 2013 Broncos Offense was paired with the 1977 Broncos Defense, who would win?

Thank you for speaking to what’s going on with the protests over George Floyd’s death. However, I wanted to call out one thing you said because I think it’s important. You said, “There’s nothing political about racism.”
Racism is the original politics of this country. Our founders were slave owners. Racism had to exist to justify the structure of slavery. It is the lingering structure of racism from those times that leads to what we are seeing now. We can see it in racially drawn electoral maps. We can see it in the words of the current President. A lot of people who do not think of themselves as racist were mighty comfortable voting for a man who clearly is.
Pretending that it is separate from politics does not help black people. We, as white people, need to consciously fight against racism at all levels. It’s not just the individual act of a hateful white supremacist, or racist cop. It’s about the subtle strands of racism woven throughout our society. We need to learn to see race and fight racism, or else this will continue.

MY BOYS! It can’t be said enough, but thank you for the DNVR Broncos Podcast. It provides a joyous diversion that is much needed right now. Mase, how I wish that Peyton Manning had thrown a touchdown pass to a teammate wearing the jersey number SEVENTY-FIVE during his career.
Based on the conversation about the 2000s era for the Broncos from Friday’s podcast, including poor free agent signings, I wanted to know who your worst three free agent signings for the Broncos were in the 2000s. Mase mentioned Simeon Rice who definitely is one of the worst in a line of many. I think my least favorites from that decade are Eddie Kennison, Daryl Gardener, and Dale Carter. I know that Carter signed in 1999, but that season feels like it is more part of the 2000s decade than the 1990s for the Broncos.
I leave you today with a quote from Stephen R. Covey’s book, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change,” which is apt for our current circumstances: “Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply.” DNVRMY SALUTE!

Good Mornin!
I tried to get this “one gotta go” in the other day and did not make the cut. I did a speed read of the comments for the last pod as i was unable to listen. I dont think anyone asked so..

Wow! This guy ranked the Broncos QB last in the league. This is the definition of a Masshole. He must have been drunk when he wrote this because he put Stidham higher then last. I guess this is what happens when the only town Tom Brady has a losing record in is Denver. I’m dumbfounded on how “writers” can just completely ignore the sample Lock put out there. Sorry, but man this one got me. Open your eyes!

#lockedin
Here’s my locked in rankings based on the character of everyone this off season
#1 Von Miller
#2 Courtland Sutton
#3 Jerry Jeudy
#4 Bradley Chubb
#5 Phillip Lindsay
#6 Drew Lock
#7 Kj Hamler
#8 Calvin Anderson ? (I got a feeling the team and Calvin Anderson know something we don’t )
#9 Melvin Gordon
#10 aj boyue
I just wanna speak to the top. 5 ….. The top 5 are the backbone (excluding Jeudy ) of this team and winning ….. They are the difference between. An 8-8 season and a 10-6 or heck even 11-5 ……. They want to win their tired of losing and they can lead by example and they have changed the chiefs into the #1 rival of the broncos over the raiders which is surprising I expect the most from those top 5 and I hope fangio and the organization will do whatever to make those top 5 successful …..
Now Juedy . ….man something about studying Jeudy interactions with kj …. His focus his energy with courtland ……. Jeudy is out to prove that he is not only the best wr in that draft but the best wr on the team and he is the 1A and courtland is 1B …… Awesome thing is courtland is such a phenomenal guy if not this season next season he’d have no issue conceding that to courtland …. He locked in …..and lastly
I Kno covid is going on but when’s the last time you seen Von not this active for media purposes …. I feel Von and Chubb are gonna go on a a TERROR AND von is locked in tired of losing and willing to be the support system for his teammates so they can play the best to their abilities ……
I’m excited to see what these guys can do …..and rooting for them hard !

Taking a look at the Melvin Gordon contract, I still see the argument that he is overpaid. But look at it this way: Melvin Gordon’s contract is 2 years, $8m per year. Conner McGovern went to the Jets for 3 years, $9m per year.
So would you rather have Melvin Gordon for $8 million per year and Cush with the 83rd pick in the draft, or would you have preferred re-signing Conner McGovern for $9 million per year and taking Zack Moss at 83?
Or look at the burner receiver position: Would you have preferred the Broncos save a bit of money and sign Breshad Perriman (he got 1 year, $6.5m from the Jets) and draft Cam Akers or JK Dobbins at 46, or do you want to keep it the same with Melvin Gordon and KJ Hamler?
For me, I think it’s pretty obvious that the move that the Broncos did make was the better move. I know you all are pretty comfortable with the Melvin signing, but I thought this was an interesting thought experiment that makes me more comfortable with Melvin’s price tag.

I have been a member of this community for the last three years and mostly kept quiet, allowing others to ask questions and tell stories for me. However, with what has been happening the last week, it is more important than ever to make our voices heard and show our support for the peaceful protesters. As one of the thousands involved in the march through Denver last night, I beg everyone to get involved in whatever way possible. The protests in Denver will be continuing in some form all week. If you have the time, please go out and show your support.

The most important thing is that we do not let the momentum of this moment slip away. We do not need to wait for another innocent man or woman to be killed; we need to act now and force our government to do the same. The only way that will happen is if we keep pushing and if we do it in a peaceful and productive way.
Take care of each other and stay safe Fam.
