My boys! Yesterday on the pod the idea of signing Baker Mayfield came up and if Russ or Rodgers aren’t available I, for one, would be very interested in this option. I’ve heard the argument that the Browns should keep Baker because he’s better than any QB they could get in the draft and I think that logic applies to why the Broncos should pick up Baker if he’s available. I also think Baker would be coming to a similar, but better situation with the Broncos: we have an absolute beast running back duo just like Hunt and Chubb and we have a great defense. I think we have a better receiving team than the Browns and a healthy Baker would probably do really well with all the receiving talent on this team. On top of that I love how gritty and tough Baker is, I don’t think he gets enough credit for playing injured all season. At the end of the day I’d rather pay a guy who helped bring a doomed franchise to the playoffs than gamble on a super iffy QB draft class.

Fellas! Thinking of Noah Fant and how he has generally underachieved considering his draft status, I am more inclined to blame the coaching staff than the player. At Iowa, he was used as a vertical threat with deep crossing routes and wheel routes simply overmatching safety’s and linebackers. He was also a major target on seam routes and in the red zone. In his 3 years in Denver, I don’t recall a single deep crossing route or any targets on seam routes. No reason he can’t produce like Kittle or Hockenson, just needs to be asked to do what he does best instead of 3 yard crosses and out routes. What say you guys? Go broncos and go DNVR!

I want to respond on the topic of the WRs, caps are for emphasis, no hard feelings. Courtland Sutton’s lack of production goes back 6 games. You guys kept framing the response in terms of the last 3 weeks. But it’s also shortsighted to not look at the long term consequences and to say it’s ok cause we’re winning games right now.

It obviously frustrates the fanbase. It can lead to talent leaving your team or scaring talent away in free agency or lead to discontent in the locker room (you guys CAN’T have forgotten Jeudy’s tweet about conditioning and he was seeing MORE targets than Sutton and Patrick are now). Plenty of teams with worse WRs find ways to win by throwing, plenty of teams win with a productive rushing attack and WRs producing more than this. The Eagles are the most run heavy team by snap percentage and they’re throwing to Devonta Smith and Quez Watkins more than we are our WRs… What the Broncos are doing is not normal especially with this caliber of talent, it’s not what other teams are doing, and it has consequences and is mind-numbingly frustrating to watch.

Also, you said at this pace, Jeudy would have 88 catches across a full season. He also would have 0 TDs and 912 yards. Across a FULL season. That just shows what a problem this is except you guys really should have brought up the 0 TDs when extrapolating too. Kinda sus lmao. Love you guys, thanks for all you do!

My Boys! It was great to see what the Broncos did for DT last game. I was watching at home but it was still amazing being able to here the DT chants through the TV. So I know you guys say it’s play offs or bust for this coaching staff but I tend to think that if we get at least a winning record Vic will be back specially if the reasons for the losses where on the offense. Can you guys see where if this happens we only get a new OC and special teams coordinator or is it just everyone is gone because I am 75% sure that if that is the case Vic will stay. Thanks for the pod and I will be going up to Denver for the game this weekend against the Bengals hope to see you guys there. Go Broncos!!!!!!

I hate to be a Debbie downer but you guys have way too much confidence in Teddy. You guys said he had a good game and stats wise he did. But if you look back his two tds came from amazing efforts by the pass catchers. One which was a terrible throw. He had multiple bad passes where the receiver had to make a difficult catch. I know it is a bad thing to complain about a 38-10 win but I have zero confidence in teddy. We know he can beat bad teams but he shrinks against good teams. He has great wr trio, average o line, amazing rb duo, and top 5 defense but can’t capitalize on it when it matters. I know teddy is better than lock but that was never the question. The question was would teddy be a better quarterback at the end of the season if lock played. I honestly think lock would be. I mean lock never had this consistent/dominant running game, or all three of the wide receiver trio. When all three play they are 5-2 and 2-4 when missing one. Not to mention he only had Albert O for 4 games. Lock had to face so much adversity and teddy has faced little to none. Would you guys still have started teddy at the beginning of the season or give lock a shot? Hey

Urban Meyer was asked about Andre Cisco playing more. Urban responded “Cisco is playing a little bit more, I believe. I don’t have his numbers in front of me.” Cisco played 0 snaps Sunday. #fireMeyer

hey guys,

was pretty shocked to hear vic say that kjack is one of his all time favorite players. just wanted to hear what y’all thought about him saying that and your thoughts on that free agent signing overall? obviously the flacco trade and ja’wuan james signing of the 2019 class didn’t work out but kareem has been one of the few free agent success stories in denver since the 2014 season, imo.

what do y’all think?

Sorry this is long but I just had to share what happened to me today. I’ve been really emotional over DT so I had to share but a little back story. December 2019 my girlfriend, her daughter, and I made care packages to hand out to the less fortunate without homes in our area. I wanted to extend it beyond the holidays but then covid hit and I feared I would spread it around and so we put a pause. This year we promised to start again. That leads us to today. I found some paper bags I had from 2019 and I had the thought to this year honor DT by putting an 88 on each bag. So I wrote just 1 to see how it looked. Of course it was beautiful and made me tear up. So then I head out to the store to buy supplies for care packages…. Snacks, socks, sandwich materials etc. As I get to a green light at an intersection something tells me to LOOK OUT! I slam on my brakes as a huge SUV comes flying through its red light. He slams his brakes and stops. we are feet from each other. The T-bone collision would have been into my driver’s side door.

I proceeded to the store unscathed and got my supplies. I got home and saw the 88 I had written earlier waiting for me, and I broke down in tears.
Something or someone told me to look out so I could continue on to carry out my mission. Every bag I give out while have an 88.

I didn’t want to share this because I don’t pat myself on the back. None of this will be on social media. No one knows my girlfriend and I do this except us and now DNVR. It’s a PSA to watch your green lights. It’s a reminder to pay it forward this holiday season, and when you do you can do it to honor the memory of a great man like DT.
At the Chargers game Jan 2 I will be wearing my DT shirt for the last time and then retiring it. Really wish I had bought a jersey back in the day because I can’t find any now.

Merry Christmas DNVR.

In the postgame Javonte Was asked about what led to the hot start with two early scoring drives this week and he noted the moment of silence and 10 man huddle as sparking the team and giving them something bigger to play for.

Obviously these are extraordinarily tragic circumstances, but it’s magnified what I’ve also seen as inconsistent effort from this team. When they come out with their hair on fire and ready to make a statement they are dominant. If they played with the gusto that teams like Detroit and Baltimore come out with regularly we’d be a team nobody wants to see.

I love the Bachelor analogy guys, but I’m not sure you’re being fair to us plebeians in the fan base with regards to us not being all in. Picture the bachelorette reaching out the final rose to us, then as we reach for it, she pulls it back and stomps on it while she laughs in our face. And she does this three times – the Ravens, Eagles, and Chiefs games. We win this Sunday, I believe everything changes.

Hey fellas! Thanks for the always awesome coverage and creating a community making it easier than ever for an out-of-market fan like me to feel like a true member of the Broncos fandom. Living in Seahawks country is very annoying at times, but I digress. Here’s something I don’t think is being talked about enough: This is Joe Burrow’s first time playing in Denver. I recently came out to introduce my fiancé to my family and I could definitely feel the change of altitude. Maybe seasoned NFL players are used to it, but a sophomore QB like Burrow? Hopefully, the fans will show up and make it worse for him. I know the altitude challenges are not just old wives tales, but I feel like it’s even worse if it’s your first time experiencing it. What do you guys think? (P.S. loved the green chili tots and wish I could be at the DNVR for every game. Also, I am a WA State University alum and I wanted Minshew to the Broncos before anyone else. Go Cougs and Go Broncos!)

My Peoples!

I voted on Mases pole to have the Broncos make the playoffs and retain most of the staff.

I think fans voting for missing the playoffs and having the staff fired feel that if Denver were to makes the playoffs and even win a game, George Paton is more likely to extend Teddy and retain Shurmur.

I think the feeling is, If Denver makes the Playoffs, Teddy and Shurmur stay and Paton does not make a push for a Wilson or Rodgers.

Love Yall!

Oh god no please no. Russell Wilson is a hard pass. I don’t know how you guys can’t see it. I think so highly of you guys i know you can see through this facade that Russ is elite. You repeatedly say mediocre is the worst place to be and Russ is the epitome of mediocre. Yea he’s good and better that what we’ve had in a long time however most his good seasons and high quality wins are on stacked teams. Have you seen him the last two season and a normal team. Everyone wants to say the hawks are bad rn but they’re really just mediocre and the qb isn’t raising those ships. My brother is a die hard hawks fan so I’ve seen plenty of Russ over the years and honestly he’s qb 10-20. He’s not much of an upgrade. Especially factoring in his price tag both in salary and draft capital. This will look like a prettier wold but at the end of the day it would still be world of suck for years to come. Believe me or not, but remember this post when it all falls to the ground.

Realistically what will it take to secure the number one overall pick in 2023 (Bryce Young), and why isn’t it done already? If we get Bryce we’re done with that position (the most valuable position) for the next 15 years. Who cares about 3 years worth of picks in the grand scheme of things. I think the closer we get to that draft the more teams will associate their pick with available players. For example, imagine trying to trade for the 1st overall pick last offseason. Not happening, especially when teams start to realize what player that pick translates to.

Im thinking we HAVE to improve our OL boys, the interior specifically. Lloyd is great and still young, but no thanks. I think this offseason we inevitably will give up draft capital (possibly multiple 1st and 2nds) to get a big name vet; HOWEVER I think regardless we still need new faces up front. In a potential trade to get an elite QB, do you think we give up so much draft capital that drafting a plug and play lineman is off the table? For reference I really liked what Tampa did by getting Tom and Wriffs in the same offseason. It paid dividends immediately
