RK based on your answer yesterday about sacrificing future Broncos super bowls for 3 CU national championships. I thought of another question. If you were told you could have cu win 2 national championships in the nex 25 years but csu would win 4 national championships in the same time period would you take it. Sorry for the long question I just had to ask.

Hey guys!
First off, it’s “some days you get the bull, and some days you get the horns”. Which is very similar to “mess with the bull, and you’ll get the horns”
Anyway, the take on Brandon McManus and Matt Prater does carry more wait than you think. Sam Martin went on the Pat McAfee Show, and credited Prater with boosting his interest in signing with Denver. He said that Prater spoke very highly of playing in Denver, and implied that he missed it. Given the way he left denver after his issues with alcohol, could this be a prodigal son type return? And further, would John Elway and Joe Ellis be willing to give him another chance?

And finally, are there other media members that cover other teams, particularly in the division, that you enjoy meeting up with leading up and during the games? If so, any shoutouts?

Hey gents. After y’all talked about the madden league yesterday, it reminded me that I am starved for competition and rivalries. Just thought it would be fun to start a league that battles other teams podcasts. (ie: that garbage raiders pod) would be fun

Have a potentially fun game to play over the next few days: The rona 2 swap.
Basic idea is if a position group all got covid and another position group had to take over, how would they do?
Must go beyond touching wood on this one – go ahead and just hold wood the whole time.
For today: OL and DL. Who would be better, the OL playing DL or DL filling in playing OL? Any particular potential standouts or liabilities? How often would we hear, “holding, defense, number 72?”
Thanks as always, gents!

Howdy Ryan the Lion, Mase the Interface, and Zac & Cheese!
We’ve talked a lot about the offense, defense, and special teams, but what’s the scouting report on Drew Lock’s girlfriend?
She seems to have a kind heart and a loving bosom for alighting the weary head. Those are, at least, Onion Booty’s criteria for intimate companionship.
My follow-up question puzzle piece to the pie is this: how might their relationship impact Drew’s mental makeup this year and ultimately his on-field success? Though only in his sophomore season, it’s a defining year for his career. (Don’t you love a good unintentional rhyme?!)
Additionally, I was told never to do the undercover shuffle the night before a match and that butterfly kisses of the heart can depress a person’s competitive edge. What are your heartfelt thoughts on this mathematical equation?
Lastly, my beta readers suggest this could be a compelling first segment topic of discussion. They’re never wrong, but I leave it up to you…

Let’s put Brandon McManus in a straight jacket. Maybe then he’ll have his chance at a record: longest field goal by a maniac in a straight jacket.
We’d have to squish his helmet on for him though—cuz look no hands!
Which also means he can’t slam his helmet on the ground again. I could feel the vibrations all the way here in New York when he did that—jeez! I nearly toppled over!
Fun fact, Brandon McManiac is not the only Broncos foot connector to throw his helmet in a tantrum. Britton Colquitt did it toward the end Super Bowl 50. You can view this gross act of indecency wherever SB 50 can be watched.
PS — When I googled “straight jacket” for the correct spelling, one of the options that popped up was “straight jacket for sale.” So I can confirm, there is indeed a market for this type of thing.
With love, again,

i think rk (?) mentioned that they should’ve kept him and britton colquitt around but i don’t blame the broncos for moving on from prater.
i get that it would’ve been nice if the team stuck by him and helped him work through his issues and ultimately they would’ve reaped the rewards because he’s been sober- and better than mcmanus- ever since, but the broncos were dealing with several high profile substance abuse problems (von, welker, tom heckert, matt russell) in a short space of time that someone had to be the fall guy.
i’m happy that prater worked through his issues, and i’m all for moving on from mcmanus but i’m not sure if him coming back to denver is the best thing for him. maybe it’s unfair for me to speculate on his current frame of mind and it seems like his past issues are far enough in the rear view to the point where playing in denver again is irrelevant but idk

also- happy birthday mase!!!
Nathaniel Thiccett?
I am shocked by the stats on McManus. I remember him being pretty solid from low 50s? Regardless, the stat that ysll are forgetting is that he ranks 1st in the league in being handsome. Remember, you can’t spell McManus without #MCM… and also anus.
Also since Mase is always gone every time I trash Carolina “BBQ sauce” on the pod, I will say: it doesn’t qualify as BBQ sauce. It’s cookout sauce at best and I feel that is disrespectful to the fast food chains signature sauce with the same name. That is all. Love yall and stay thicc.

MY BOYS! Happy Belated Birthday, Mase! What kind of birthday dessert did you partake of? I hope that you had an enjoyable celebration.
Besides the obvious choices of Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler, which other rookie or rookies do you think will have the biggest roles and make the most significant contributions for the Broncos in their first NFL season? As of today, I am going with Lloyd Cushenberry III. I think that he will be starting center beginning in Week 1 and through the season barring injury (touch wood). I think that he has the mental capacity and physical tools to be a very good center as a rookie and to grow into being a stalwart at the position for years to come. I still can’t believe that Cushenberry fell to the Broncos at Pick 83, and I am glad that the rumored trade up to select Matt Hennessy didn’t materialize.
Have a terrific Tuesday! DNVRMY SALUTE!

What’s up from sunny North Carolina guys.
Chubb released a workout video that I’m sure we’ve all seen. In the best case scenario who can Chubb be compared to? People want that Mack from him and I see prime T-sizzle when I watch him.
PS: when do we get the E40H pod?

Has Ma$e completely dissolved his pessimistic outlook on the 2020 season? I ask because he’s the one out of the three of you guys who was not going to be shocked if the NFL was silent on Sunday’s in 2020
Thanks
Andrew Mason
I don’t believe it’s pessimistic. It’s realism from talking to people I know in the medical profession and around major pro and college sports. As I recently heard from someone in college football, “No way do we get a full football season in.” I do think the NFL will have enough of a campaign to have a champion, even with a delay and at least one stop and restart. But I would currently bet against it being a full 16-game season.

Hey gents,
I’m seeing a disturbing trend of more and more covid 19 cases at my hospital in the Bay Area and across the country. Also I now see the MLS suspending the season for 30 days due to the virus. So, what are the odds that the NFL doesn’t have a 2020 season?? Sadly I currently place it at 50/50 given the amount of support staff that is required to put a season together. As much as we all want to move on, with each passing day the season seems less likely than more likely. And lastly if the season is cancelled how does the 2021 broncos look different from the cancelled 2020 broncos? Stay safe gents and wishing the best to this awesome community of listeners and fans. Thanks for keeping me connected to my home state of Colorado and remember to wash them hands!
