Guys!

This is beyond amazing news. I got a call this afternoon from my mom telling me that the doctor decided that he will no longer need to do a major heart surgery. only a small procedure is needed! Whether it’s Mase, Zac, RK, or DNVR subscribers who sent thoughts and prayers, it is so appreciated! They were obviously heard! Thank you again DNVR family. I go into work tonight with a mind at ease.

One question, everyone is worried with Von out. So am I, but I feel a unity in this team. Do you think they can still rally without their future HOF? I believe in my heart they can.

Thanks again!

The downside of losing Von and Todd are huge, I would say a near tragedy. However, tragedy has one bright spot, it is THE PERFECT setting for heros to be born. I’d love to a mystery man step up even more and push this team, get fat extension, and be one of those new leaders. Who could you see asserting themselves? Fangio seems like the coach who wants guys to take what they want. I hope for the best for Von. Thanks for the coverage guys.

E40H if this is a RK-less pod is a Edward 40hands reference and one of my favorite Ryan inventions.

I have previously said that nobody in the NFL is planning a game away from Justin Simmons, they still do it for 58. The Von news made me want to call my physician for medication but, talk us down from the ledge…. What are the odds of Malik Reed bursting onto the NFL stage? Or even Chubb being ready after being missing for the last two weeks?

MY BOYS!!

At the time of writing this Derek Tuszka is still on the practice squad. Do you think he will be elevated to the 53 now?

Maybe I’m being too optimistic, but could there be a silver lining in the terrible Von news? You talked about how the Broncos could seek a re-structure with Von next year before the injury. Does the injury make it more likely that they agree on a team-friendly re-structure, even if for only one year as Mase has suggested?

If the offense progresses this year and Von’s rehab goes well, the Broncos could be poised to have Von at a discount next year when they could be real contenders.

Hey fellas,

I gotta say. When Lock was asked about his status on PFF’s QB ranking list — he couldn’t have responded any better.

I’m so proud of our QB. I think we all agree Drew’s play is promising, to say the least, but he shows such class in those moments; it gives me great confidence that he is the real deal.

Last year the Broncos season opener was on local TV in addition to ESPN. Do any of you know if this will be the case again this year?

If not I will have to go to the DNVR Bar.. will there be a watch party sign up posted soon?

Love to see y’all either way.

Guys! It’s been too long. I doubt you guys even remember me. I’ve been on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You know, the guys in white shirts and ties that you hide from when they knock on your door lol. I had to unsubscribe for a couple years for that but I resubscribed the day I got back and to my amazement the podcast got EVEN BETTER with mase! I didn’t even think that could be possible seeing that you guys are the top tier in my opinion on coverage of the broncos. My couple questions are 1- Mase, why did you decide to join the already star studded coverage of the broncos with the podcast formally known as BSN? It’s like KD joining Golden State! And 2- why did it turn from BSN to DNVR?

Thank you guys for continuing to put out top tier content even after 2 years of not being able to partake in it. I’m SO grateful you guys are continuing to raise the bar when it comes to coverage of the greatest franchise ever. Go broncos!

Hi gents,

I’m not sure it was ever confirmed, but we all were pretty confident that the Broncos would be heading to the UK to play the Falcons this season before things hit the fan.

Do you think it’s likely that the Broncos still make their way over there when international games return in the future? I’m worried we’ll lose the chance to see our Broncos on the other side of the pond given that it was a Falcons home game and we won’t have that fixture again for another 4 years.

Thanks,

BB out

Scenario: The Broncos are nursing a 3 point lead with 7:00 left in the fourth quarter. The opposing offense is facing a 3rd and 2 from the Broncos 42 yard line. They hand the ball to the running back off tackle and the blocking sets up perfectly. This play looks like an easy first down, if not a house-call. Suddenly, an out-of-position Von Miller flies out of nowhere and shoots the RB’s legs right out from under him for a 2 yard loss.

…I feel like we’ve seen some variation of this scenario play out time and again. Von is obviously a phenomenal pass rusher. But I’m concerned that his ability to make these huge momentum-shifting plays against the run may be harder to replace than his pass rushing abilities. Amirite or am I crazy?

MY BOYS! Happy Opening Night! We made it! Here’s to a full season ahead. With the pending signing of Isaiah Irving to the practice squad, do you think that the Broncos will sign another OLB to the active roster after Week 1, or will Irving be called up to the active roster on Sunday or Monday to take Von Miller’s spot? As always, I express my gratitude for the great coverage and for always entertaining my questions and comments. DNVRMY SALUTE!

Hey Gentlemen,

Hopefully I get this in before the buzzer. But we have our second freshman game tonight. Hopefully we can remain unbeaten and push our record to 2-0. So far, we have the only win across the program and we would like to build on last week’s performance.

Hope everyone is doing well! So sad about Von…….. But excited that NFL is finally back. Stay happy and healthy!
