Al Fresco pod? Your gents Are magical. Please tell me you made some DNVR snow angels.
Why are the Broncos being so secretive about naming drew the starter when 75 percent of the fans know it will happen?
Love you guys!

Mase, is right About QB wins. QB wins are what I’d call a souvenir stat. It’s a cool thing for fans to know and point at but doesn’t actually matter I’m terms of evaluation of a QB. Football is vastly more dependent on team play to win than any other sport. Also wanted to say I’m thankful for y’all this holiday season. When I lived in Denver last year I didn’t know anyone having moved from Texas and meeting Zach and Ryan at the varsity tavern place during a tornado warning and then the draft part was one of the few moments I had much human interaction last year as I was a shut in most the time. And when I moved back to Texas at the end of last year I had lost the college friends I had made before so listening to y’all every day and hearing my questions and comments answered on the pod has been one of the only things that has made me feel valued in a long time. Don’t really have any friends and having depression makes it really hard when you are treated like no one hears your are cares so at least having y’all hear me on even something as trivial as Broncos talk means a lot. Thank you and happy holiday season love y’all

Greetings from Florida! I live in Sarasota, but I’m spending a lot of time with my mom in the hospital in Palm Harbor. Broncomania has been a central focus for our family, so watching the last couple of games with her in the hospital has been really special, even though the games were stinkers. Please give a shout-out and a word of encouragement for Mary Ellen, who has fought her way out of hospice, but is still facing a tough rehab process. Go Mom, and Go Broncos!

Everyone acts like franchise QBs grow on trees. Since 2000, there have been a ton of first-round QBs that we can say were busts.
First round QB Busts (31):
Pennington ’00, Carr ’02, Harrington ’02, Ramsey ’02, Boller ’03, Leftwich ’03, Grossman ’03, Lossman ’04, Smith ’05 (not quite a bust, but not worth the #1 pick), Campbell ’05, Young ’06, Leinart ’06, Russell ’07, Quinn ’07, Shanchez ’09, Freeman ’09, Bradford ’10, Tebow ’10, Locker ’11, Gabbert ’11, Ponder ’11, Griffin ’12 (injury), Tannehill ’12, Weeden ’12, Manuel ’13, Bortles ’14, Manziel ’14, Bridgewater ’14 (injury), Mariota ’15, Lynch ’16, Rosen ’18
Still up in the air QBs (4):
Winston ’15, Trubisky ’17, Mayfield ’18, Darnold ’18
Franchise QBs taken in the first (15) (3 oarderline):
Vick ’01, Palmer ’03, Eli ’04, Rivers ’04, Roethlisberger ’04, Rodgers ’05, Cutler ’06 (boarderline), Ryan ’08, Flacco ’08 (boarderline), Stafford ’09, Newton ’11, Luck ’12, Goff ’16 (boarderline), Wentz ’16, Mahomes ’17, Watson ’17, Allen ’18, Jackson ’18
It’s it really Elway fault we haven’t successfully drafted one yet? No it’s not.

Nice for Lock, and he showed some nice flashes today, especially given how little he’s practised, and how awful the offensive play calling was again.
Felt weird watching the game, wanting to win, but couldn’t help thinking this is now more Wirfs than Thomas, which is quite different in my opinion. Meh, let’s focus on the positives; go Lock! This kid has shown me he could have *it*, need 3 more games to judge though. Roll on next week.
