Hey guys! I just got home from helping distribute Covid vaccines in my community in the pouring rain. Can’t wait til this thing is behind us and we can get back to normal. On to my question, last week I asked where Lock ranked over the last 6 weeks of the season in passer rating, because it seemed like something clicked with him starting in the Miami game. Tim Jenkins mentioned in another podcast that he saw Drew starting to read the defenses in that game instead of trying to figure out where his receivers would be. Mase looked up the data and Lock finished 18th over that time period. While that’s not outstanding, considering his circumstances is that a bad place to be? Over the course of this year Kyler Murray finished 18th in rating, while over the past two years it was Tom Brady and Derek Carr who finished in that spot. I’m still not sold on Lock, but considering his shoulder injury, lack of offseason and his criminally extended time on IR in 2019, does this sign of growth indicate he’s on the cusp of something or is it too little too late?

MY BOYS!
I hope you all are doing great. I know I sure am after listening to this podcast. I got so excited when even thinking about the possibility of making the playoffs. Just thinking about Matt Stafford with all of our offensive weapons is so great. I liked when you guys said that we could get Matthew Stafford, draft a quarterback in the next couple years, and have the young quarterback learn under Stafford. I’ve always been a huge fan of rookie quarterbacks learning under veterans, as opposed to being thrown in immediately in the first week of the NFL season. But let’s hop into today’s question.
Do you think it is more likely that we get Matthew Stafford with John Elway or George Paton as our GM? I personally think that we would have had a better chance with John, because I think that could’ve been his last big move, and have put us in a great situation going forward when he steps away. I also know that George Paton said he would be in on every deal, while also putting the emphasis on drafting and developing. While giving the edge to Elway, I think that it is likely with both general managers. Let me know what y’all think! Thank you guys for all you do.
Much love,
Sebastian

Hey fellas,

Been a while since I’ve posted and good to be back.

I like Stafford a lot and think he mostly got a raw deal in Detroit, but I just don’t like him for this team right now. We saw legit progress from Lock and the offense the last 6 or so games. Progress that is very consistent with developing a young QB in a new system with young playmakers. I’d Paton to build off that progress and core for at least 2021 and see where they’re at, not another quick fix with an aging QB. What is the ceiling with Stafford? Probably playoffs. What’s the ceiling with Lock in 2021? Probably playoffs. This isn’t Brady. What’s the point of drafting a QB to develop if you bail on the development after essentially 1 season of tape? If they were to make the deal I’ll support it cause its my team and all, sure, but I just hate to see 2020 go down as wasted time and energy. Can we just get 2 years of consistency?

Thanks for the great content boys… always listening

Fellas,

If Tampa wins the Super Bowl the talk of the GOAT of the NFL will be done, Brady it is. So the next discussion will be where does he rank among the greats of the greats? For me the list currently is as follows:

1. Ali
2. Gretzky
3. Jordan
4. Babe Ruth
5. Jim Brown

I would put Brady at 4 and move Ruth and Brown down 1.

How say you?

My friend has noticed lots of Q talk lately…. does this mean that there is a >90% for there to be movement at the Q position for the Broncos?

Trade for Stafford, keep Lock, draft Mac. Make it an open competition, and run with the winner. Worked in Seattle….

*Yawn* so bored with QB talk. ?Have you guys heard anything about Ja’Waun James’s conditioning, work out routine/rehab this year? Is their any chance he reports in game shape and “eager” to prove himself? (If for no other reason than to get a contract somewhere in ‘22)

How bad is his image with the team? I heard one story about other players being disappointed in him but nothing else.

Hey guys. So before the season began I made a bet with my friend who is a brady fan that he would never win the super bowl during his time with the bucs because I said he was washed. The bet was for $600…. This super bowl is going to hurt ?

Guys! Please get back on the Lock wagon. We all seen the flashes right? I haven’t seen alot of QBs that throw up 3 tds in the 4th quarter to win it. Some of the throws this dude makes are insane!
We got 5 wins in a year that we where absolutely devastated by injuries.
You bring back those guys or most, Stack another star studded draft class to this roster, with another year of continuity. This team is definitely an 8-8 plus team next year.
Drew had 5 (1) possession losses and 1 game with no QB. Don’t forget we were 2nd in the league in drops with 28 ish. About 60 plus missed points. I’m so afraid we’re going to give up all of these assets to get a Stafford dude when we might already have a better dude in Lock.
1 more year to find out. If he sucks we draft high if he doesn’t, well f ya…
Sorry for the froto baggins journey.

Would be fun if there was “seniors’ bowl” and all the old dudes would get back together and play two hand touch mic’d up. Punt/pass/kick type deal too. You know for a charity and all.

Hey guys,

So in this scenario you are watching your all time favorite NFL matchup. You can watch any team from any era play a team from the same era or different era. You also get the chance to choose who is commentating the game. Here’s mine-
I would have the 1999 St. Louis Rams vs. the 2013 Denver Broncos. The game would be packed full of back and forth lead changes and plenty of great offense to get excited about. To commentate I would love to have the great Gus Johnson who did the infamous “STOKELY! DOWN THE SIDELINE!” call. Get Pat Mcafee right next to him and you would have the most exiting pair of commentators to bring you the energy of the game. Have fun fellas!

Hey guys, so since Super Bowl 50, I have been making foods from the region / city of the teams in the SB. I had Denver omelets and Carolina style BBQ for 50, Georgia style fried chicken and grits for 51, Philly cheese steaks for 52 etc. Do any of you 3 have something for the Tampa region to make? I’ll do some KC style bbq but I like to use both cities. Buccaneers by a billion.

Alright boys hope all is well.

With an exciting offseason approaching and a most need change of GM direction on the way I have just one point of discussion for you guys.

I saw a frightening tweet that if Mahomes was to play as long as Brady he would be playing in 2036 wtf.

Therefore, for this reasoning Denver should move heaven and earth for Watson. I know the cost will be high but the reward is finally having a long term solution who can compete with Mahomes punch for punch for the next decade. The only way is an elite QB and build the rest after.

Thoughts?

My boys! As much as it pains me to say I will be rooting for Tom Brady. I had high hopes for Rodgers and company, but Wikipedia’s latest update says it best saying “the nfc championship game is the annual championship game for the NFC where a team gets to win against the Green Bay Packers.”
Anyways you guys were talking about Ryan Ramcyzk on the pod last week and it got me thinking, what would have happened if we drafted him over Bolles?
Bolles came in and immediately had a hard schedule facing guys like Joe Bosa and Melvin Ingram twice a year while they were one of the best pass rushing duos while ramcyzk went to the saints and played RT not LT against not quite as good pass rushers. If we take ramcyzk do you think he becomes an all pro with us as he did with the saints and what about Bolles if he went to the saints and played RT?
Thanks for the Pod and Go Bucs…

MY BOYS! If the Broncos can’t/don’t re-sign Shelby Harris this offseason, what do you all think of Roy Robertson-Harris? He is an unrestricted free agent. He has been with the Bears since 2016—three seasons with Vic Fangio as his defensive coordinator—after signing as an undrafted free agent. He’s 6’5″, 290-295 pounds, which is perfect size for a five-technique defensive end and will turn 28 in July. Obviously, I’d rather see Shelby return, but if not, I think Robertson-Harris could be a nice consolation piece. Have a terrific Tuesday. DNVRMY SALUTE!

Hey gents!
I may have missed this along the way, but how soon could any of these QB trades happen? My head is spinning with the possibilities and I just want to know what Denver is going to do already. Alas, the waiting game, and hopefully it’s a short one.
Thanks for all you do!

Morning Boys,

I’m not gonna be so quick to say Staley was a bad hire for the chargers. He’s young and knows where the NFL is heading schematically. He also said in his presser that he is actually an offensive coach but his knowledge of offense, and understanding of offensive schemes, has a lot to do with why he is able to call defense so well. If Staley does hit, not only will Herbert continue to develop but he will likely be a headache moving forward.
