Hi fellas,
I don’t think yesterday was a fluke because the plays that were made were not unbelievable miracles that just so happened to go our way; they were mostly well executed plays that FINALLY worked for what feels like the first time in years. It’s too late, but at least we know for sure that Russ can still sling it and run. He’s shown that a few times this year and it leads me to believe the scheme truly limited him and the injuries have not helped anyone.
This loss doesn’t feel like any other because I truly think this team was at franchise rock bottom after losing to the Panthers. The team is in an upward trend despite the loss and the Chiefs should probably be worried about their defense!

The wee baby Arvada Luke is at a developmental stage where she LOVES staring at high contrast pictures. She probably spent a good half hour staring at the foam finger DNVR mascot on my Stanley Cup Champs Tshirt last night.
Does the foam finger mascot have a name? …Is it Fingies?
Even though we lost, that game felt like it totally changed the vibe. And I think if Russ doesn’t go out, then that is his version of the 0-24 Chargers game that Peyton had his coming out party with. Even still feels close, honestly.
It turns out we can use ‘booing’ for good. The chiefs fans were trying to get their little chant going after the game, but the Broncos faithful easily drowned it out with boos!
Do you think that the arrival of Coach Prime could have an effect on the Broncos? It seems like he is just assembling a masterclass of X’s and O’s coaches so that he can focus on the less tangible aspects of the team. I know there isn’t recruiting in the NFL to the same extent, but do you think Hackett could take a lesson here when (hopefully) restructuring his offensive staff this offseason?

Little update from me: I finished my Denver weekend by making the trek to Beau Jo’s at RK’s suggestion and finally trying a Colorado Mountain Pie! It was damn delicious but I was confused as hell when the waitress gave me a bottle of honey with my pizza! I thought it was mistake but when she explained that you eat the pizza and then you eat the crust with honey as a desert, that blew my mind! But I can safely say that I ticked off everything on my Denver bucket list. I also just wanted to say after listening to the pod yesterday, it is so awesome that I wasn’t the only one who made life long Broncos diehard friends at the tailgate. Thanks again guys for an incredible weekend and keep doing what you’re doing!
