Hey fellas – is it just me or does this team feel different after this camp and preseason? I’m wondering if I’m just getting excited because Week 1 is now almost here, but truly this team feels so much more well rounded and complete than at any point in the past 5 seasons. This includes at QB where I believe Teddy is the most competent vet we’ve had since Peyton.

The only issue I have with the team right now is on special teams. I know y’all have said it before, it boggles my mind that they brought Tom McMahon back and it just feels like they’ve shot themselves in the foot by doing so. Love y’all fellas thank you for the amazing work you did over the entire camp and preseason!

Hey Guys! First time commenting and just wanted to say I love the podcasts! My question is with George Paton admitting he’s been getting a lot of calls about the Corner’s IF a corner were to be traded which one do you think would get traded and what compensation would Paton need to actually go through with the deal? Thanks guys!

Being in California, I had the Rams broadcast and honestly it was great. Andrew Sciciliano, Mina Kimes and our man Aqib Talib. At various points Qib was getting pumped up for the Broncos and apologized cuz it was a Rams telecast but both announcers told him it was fine because he was a Broncos legend. Love it! I miss him.

Shout out to OrangeandBru for running the DNVR bootleg fantasy leagues again this year. You crushed it. At this point it kind of feels like it’s everybody against Andre Simone and that feels like a noble way to enjoy the season.

Game on my folks! We’re coming for you Dre.

So kudos to you blaming Fangio for special teams ur correct it’s his fault 100% … I never thought I’d be saying this I wear my godfather dnvr short with pride but ….. If special teams is a disaster if teddy plays a little below average to where you have to make a QB switch to drew …. And if the defense starts off flat ….. How does Fangio keep his job even if we go 9-8 but there’s still glaring issues of him as a coach ….. He maybe an awesome Dc but idk of he’s a good coach based on the decisions he’s made this off-season …. Keeping Tom McMahan and choosing teddy and of this defense isnt top 5 and we go 9-8 …. Do u see Fangio keeping his Job ……???

Hey Y’all,
I’ll try not to totally overreact to the 1st team play against the Rams. But the 1st quarter worried me about what we might see this season as Fangio’s defense isn’t enough and Teddy leading the offense may be too conservative. I’m pulling for success whether it’s teddy or lock but I’m having nightmares about the toxic landscape this year if there’s a back and forth between QB’s. So my question is, do you think it’s more likely Fangio gets fired this year if the broncos defense fails to live up to expectations and then Teddy looks below average and takes us to a 7-10 record as compared to rolling with the Lock and the defense being great but just unable to make up for the struggles of the offense? I’m never really a fan of the safe option in sports as it never works out but alas I’m not trying to save my job like Vic.

Hey guys. Thanks for the great content. Always listening but sometimes don’t make it in time to comment. I’ll keep it short. How confident are you guys on the linebackers going into the regular season now? I hear you guys talk a lot about dime being more the norm and I’m worried about our run defense if that’s going to be the case.
P.s if mase is on can I get an emphatic “75!!!”?

As this defense stands right now who would have more success as a DC, Wade Philips or Fangio?

Sorry for the long comment.

Hey guys you might have answered this and sorry if I missed it, but what are your guys thoughts on champ Bailey agreeing when people compared surtain to him? He said he sees a lot of himself in surtain. I usually try to temper my expectations but with champ Bailey saying this kid is special, it’s hard not to get overly excited!

My boys! Thank you guys for your coverage this offseason, made it go by so much faster! Now whether you are team Teddy or team Lock, it’s time to just be a fan of the team! Let’s get some wins and this is the season, we finally beat the chiefs in an actually football game, not just in madden or my dreams! I’m done arguing with my fellow bronco fans! Let’s go broncos and let’s go DNVR!

Hey guys,

I sure am glad Teddy scored on his last drive. I would have had to tell the media the truth that I only based my starter on your amazing QB score board. Just curious what’s the over/under on which week I’m fired. If I had to guess, I’d say week 11 at the bye. Zac I’m not sure how you got video of me knocking on wood prior to game but you Sir were spot on. I sat in Mannings old locker and hoped for good luck. Any tips for beating the Giants? I want to make sure ole Pat designs a great offensive game plan.

Jokes aside, living outside of Denver, the coverage you guys provide really keeps me informed and up to date. Best Broncos coverage ever! Have a great week and keep up the great work!

*repost x 3! Gotta get you paid, Zac*

Zac — As we all know, Teddy won the QB competition. This makes you the victor of our pizza bet. Congrats on your winnings. All glory to you, my friend. Tell me your Venmo handle? I’ll have my agent transfer the funds. How many dollars is a pizza pie in Denver anyhow? I wish I could air mail you a New York pie, but I worry that my carrier pigeon would eat it.

Love,
Onion Booty

Hey gents , I’m in a survival football fantasy league . I have to pick a winning team each week and can only pick a team once per season. Can you gents recommend a game this season where you think the Broncos are a lock to win?? Thanks for the insight, and stay healthy fellas.

To be clear, I’m not discounting the strip sack.

But it’s been really weird, listening to virtually everyone in the media act as though that play aside, both QB’s performances were basically even, w/each having 2 or 3 lackluster drives, and one touchdown drive.

I went back and watched, and the difference between their performances was even more noticeable than I originally thought.

All incompletions are not even.

In Teddy’s first two drives his first throw was a little late and got knocked down, and EVERY ONE of the next five throws were either high or wide, and some of them badly. And on his only completion, Gordon had to jump to catch the very short throw, so he didn’t get any yards after the catch.
And Teddy being off target on virtually every throw was even worse than it looked, considering the fact that his average depth of target on those throws was only 4.5 yards beyond the line of scrimmage.
Also, the running backs averaged 7.5 yards per carry in Teddy’s first two drives.

In DREW’S first three drives(and thank you RK, for pointing out Shurmur’s play calling when he came in), he threw:
1. An accurate pass that was caught.
2. A pass that was catchable but slightly low that was dropped.
3. A pass that after travelling FIFTY yards in the air, went off Cleveland’s fingertips.
And not I’m not at ALL saying he should’ve caught it.
What I AM saying, is that it blows my mind that one QB is getting criticized more for missing a deep ball by six inches from being caught and a foot or so from being caught in stride, than the other QB is for being more off target on six consecutive throws that on average didn’t go 5 yards beyond the line of scrimmage.
And in Drew’s first three drives, the running backs averaged 0.0 yards per carry.

Even on their touchdown drives, Teddy opened w/three completions averaging not quite 3 yards beyond the line of scrimmage, then threw the dime on the deep out to Courtland, and then threw a good pass to Courtland for the score.

On DREW’S td drive he threw three consecutive dimes that were caught 22, 14, and 13 yards beyond the line of scrimmage, and then threw a good pass to Fort for she score.

Sorry for the length, but it’s frustrating to see a narrative superseding the measurable and knowable facts about what actually happened.
