Your asking the Kansas boundary. You get your 50/50 split in , while Salina is more 60/40 for KC. But it is spreading East. Hays id say is 70/30 Denver from gamedays #keepgrowing #broncoscountry

The Browns are a perfect example for Ryan’s point. They have a lot of talent and a lot of high draft picks on that team. Why aren’t they successful? Because they have no one on that team and on the staff who knows how to win and is a winner. As someone who played the game and been a part of a locker room in bad and good seasons, culture matters more than talent. Talent doesn’t always manifest in wins, but having a winning culture and belief in the team more often than not does. Once again the Browns. Whether life or football if you don’t believe you can win and make winning a habit you will lose every time.

NO to Cam Newton! No more veteran QB acquisitions. In 2020 it has to be either Flacco one more year if we stay in contention all year after this dub tomorrow night, Drew Lock, or a rookie first rounder if Lock sucks (Fromm is my guy). And I have one more over/under for you guys. Number of cold Strawberry Sky’s I drink watching the fellas smash the Chiefs: 6.5. I live in Orange County and have been using the Beer Locator on the Breck Brew website to try and find the stores that carry it. FINALLY found some at Happy’s Liquor in Long Beach and cannot wait to crack them open tomorrow night for the game. I will feel left out no longer.

Mase and Zac, I know it’s easy to say blow it up and start over but it sounds to me that it’s only a justification for losing. THAT is losing culture and I don’t want the Broncos doing that EVER. It sounds like you’re proposing we turn into the Browns, Raiders, Jets, or dare I say the Buccaneers. Sorry. This is the Broncos and we HAVE been to the super bowl in the last 10 years. We do compete often. We are one of the all-time most winning franchises for a reason. Ryan has it right. The idea that we always go for the W is what our team needs to be feeling. It’s what we felt in 2015. The mentality that you’re suggesting is exactly what makes those other organizations the worst of the worst. Right now we have every reason to win. Don’t put too much stock in seeing what a 2nd round QB is when there are 20 more positions on the team that you want to improve and evaluate. Let’s NOT overcomplicate the situation by saying Drew Lock is the only thing that makes a losing season worth enduring. I’d rather see a TEAM find a way to win and not see Drew Lock and THEN get the guy we need there instead of having a horrid team until the QB comes in and makes everything good because that’sa mirage. Winning teams are just that. Teams. Not “the guy” and everyone else. Broncos are gonna kick the living shit out of the Chiefs tonight. To end on a positive note because I fear I’ve sounded angry all this time, you guys are amazing and i love listening to the pod every day doing my deliveries. Keep up the great discussions!

(I know it’s long, but please read through it all. It’s my first comment and I’m a new subscriber. I promise all future comments will be kept much shorter. Thanks! – Mase, you may want to take the reins on this one.)

Hey guys, love the cast. I’m a true Broncos fan as I was born and raised in CO, even though I have resided in LA for the last 5 years. I just found the podcast at the beginning of the season and I’ve been listening in every day as a way to stay in touch with my orange and blue roots. I must say, money has been a little tight on my end, so I have been hesitant to subscribe. However, I can’t stand the ideas that are being tossed around so willy nilly, since the last two wins. If you three started this obscene controversy as a way to entice new subscribers, congratulations it worked and I’m a sucker. Now let’s get into it.

Ryan, are you insane? I’m sorry. I know I lack subtlety, but come on man! Mediocrity is NOT the answer to proper management of a NFL Team. I don’t care if your intentions are to keep the new guys safe from being befuddled by losing culture. It’s a total and complete panic-button kind of move and it’s something that the Broncos have been suffering from, at the hands of Elway, for years now. Football must always be about going big or going home and you seem to have fallen prey to the fear of going home, so you are rooting for us to go medium. There is no fear in football.

It is this mentality that’s made me so disappointed to see Flacco in an orange jersey. He is not a Bronco and neither is any player that can ever be called just medium. John Elway keeps subbing in subpar players because he’d rather say “we’re close” (translation: “we’re medium”) than say “we’re rebuilding” (Translation: “we’re going home”). I am very upset by this whole thing because I have never, in all my life, rooted for the Broncos to lose. And yet, the last two games, I’ve found myself in my number 30-orange jersey, rooting for the other team, in hopes of Drew Lock second-half season. And I’ve even had moments where I’ve felt like The Joker, laughing relentlessly, every time I see “cool” Joe get sacked.

To sum up my points, you do not need to concern yourself with losing culture trickling into our star rookies. I think we can all agree that they are true Broncos to their core. And just like the true fans, they will know in the fire that brings them together like The Great Horse Lords of Rohan, we are a winning franchise, even when we’re losing.

Let us not aim to go medium with Flacco and other band-aid players to save the rookies from losing more than 8 games. Let us go home and, in the reminiscent Broncos Country, gather around our new would-be king. In the mean time, go Chiefs and go Colts. Go Browns and go Vikings. Go anyone who paves the path to the uprise of Drew Lock and the downfall of the orange deceiver, Joe Flacco.

P.S. No hard feelings. You three are amazing and I always look forward to listening in, no matter how much I may disagree with Ryan when he says insane things lol.

Do you guys remember 4 years ago when we played the Packers on Sunday Night Football at home and kept Rodgers under 100 passing yards. That’s what’s about to happen tonight to Mahomes. Can’t wait for this game, it’s nice being able to look forward to Broncos games again now that the Defense is back!

You can’t hold Flacco as the statistical mirror of Cam Newton and then say that Cam is too inaccurate. Flacco’s last full starting season in 2017, he had a 64% completion percentage. This year he’s at 66%. A healthy Cam Newton was 67% last season. Yet, we don’t say that Flacco is too inaccurate, even when he misses bad enough, the notion isn’t that he’s simply not an accurate passer. “He throws a nice deep ball.” “He has a really strong arm.” (All the things that we can’t find a way to utilize for some reason.)

Let’s be real. For some, it’s not that Cam is too inaccurate or too banged up to be in Denver. It’s that he’s Cam Newton. I tried to find all the reasons people hate on this guy, and I only found a single legit moment that he said or did something that would be considered socially unacceptable that could really upset people. Most of the vitriol is just goofy to me. I guess we’ll continue to run Spock out there at QB. He’s so darn likable..

October 17, 2019

Gentlemen, cant wait for the game. I agree with Ryan 100% this week. We need to establish a winning culture. 8-8 is not mediocrity, it’s building a winning culture. Without that culture, we’re the Browns or Jets. Always looking forward to the draft. Why have these teams never really transferred high draft picks to success on a field?! Well, a lot of reasons, but among them is that high draft picks don’t automatically translate to wins. A winning culture goes further in establishing wins. That’s the key. The locker room needs to believe.
Finally, Let’s open up the playbook a little more. Air it out. It will take us a while to get to the “Niners level” of success with this playbook, but we need to actually see these plays in a game setting. That’s how you learn, let’s get some tape on these guys running the system fully!

One final thought on why tanking is a bad idea. What teams draft the best historically? Where do they usually draft, the first 15, or 16-32? Just sayin’, Saints, Patriots, Seahawks etc. In no world is 4-12 better than 8-8.

I 1000% agree with Ryan on establishing a winning culture. Mase, (I’m sure this is going to backfire with some wisdom that mere mortals simply don’t have) the Cleveland Browns have drafted and brought in good players for awhile (this year especially) via huge cap space and consistent top 10 picks, and despite their talent still suck and have for years. The Eagles in 2011 also had a stacked roster, but neither won or accomplished much because they weren’t winners. Hell, I’m still terrified the Browns are ruining my boy Baker because the losing culture is saturated in Northern Ohio. Culture matter SO much to individuals. Belief and hope are powerful drugs.
Love you guys, let’s get this dub because f the Chiefs, and go DNVR

Sorry Ryan I’m with Mas and Zac. Players win games, not culture.

A few takeaways:
1. Let the rebuild begin!
2. Fant has bricks for hands
3. Sutton is legit
4. O line is still trash
5. Lock needs to play

Stack draft capital and build for the future!

Man first and foremost you guys are so blessed with an awesome job covering football but I’m truly sorry you have to cover this team and to my fellow Broncos fans I’m sorry we have to go through this every single week. As soon as they get our hopes up, they let us down even faster. Just no words.. I will always be a Broncos fan no matter what but I’m truly embarrassed at the moment.

Hey guys, stop me if you have heard this one before. Offense is staler than some movie theater popcorn that you left in the car and forgot about, followed by defense being constantly put in bad positions (whether it being from bad coaching calls, or offensive ineptitude) and just getting out coached on every level of the game. Sounds a lot like a Vance Joseph coached game, doesn’t it? Seeing Flacco out there was astonishing painful to watch when your offense needs a spark and obviously he isn’t the person that can provide that. I’m thinking there is one man out there that can do that on the Broncos roster and that’s Baby Jay Face himself (Drew Lock) It’s time to see what the kid can bring to the table now, not when they are eliminated from the playoffs, that’s too late, throw the kid into the fire and see what happens. What do you guys think? I’m all in for 2 more weeks of #Locktober. Also, keep up the great coverage you guys are killing it! I constantly refresh my podcasts to see if there is another DNVR one. Go Broncos and go DNVR!

Scenario: Lock does not play, no big names are traded, Broncos finish 4-12.

Do you fire Elway?

I hate to say it, but yes. He’s a great GM to win a Super Bowl, but will have proved that he is not the guy to rebuild a franchise. Bring in an expert and start over.
