I still love the Broncos. But I have no faith in this team. With no first round picks for 2 yrs. When can we above .500? 3 or 4 yrs?

You guys kept mentioning how frustrating it is that Gordon’s fumbled 4 times in 4 games, which is true, but it’s even WORSE.
In those 4 games he’s only carried the ball 37 times.
TD had 42 carries in ONE game.
Reuben Droughns and Clinton Portis both had 38.
And when Knowshon went off for 227yds on the Patriots, he had, wait for it, Gordon’s 37 carries… but with ZERO fumbles!
Try imagining ANY player, much less a non-QB, fumbling 4 times in ONE f’ing game.
Hell, our boy Phillip Lindsay’s carried the ball 622 times in his career, and hasn’t fumbled YET.

Greetings gentlemen,
Well this season is a bust, if George Paton hasn’t already begun plans for next year I’ll be amazed.
Bolles, gone
Risner, gone
Gordon, gone…..
How hard is it to catch a ball? Gloves, helmet, padding, its baffling, millions of dollars a year to fumble or drop the ball, 7 to 9 wins for this year, depressing!

Hey guys,
Well, I wish I could say I felt bad for Melvin after seeing his post game press conference. But just like his runs he couldn’t even finish that! He deserves every bit of flak he is getting, and needs to be cut! I don’t want to hear the agrument well because of the injury to Javonte they can’t! No javonte or not, Gordon has to go! This team needs to start being held accountable and the easiest place to start is so obvious at this point!
Mind blowing stat: In Gordon’s last 5 games he has fumbled 5 times. In those games he has scored 2 TDs, and 2 of his fumbles have been returned for TDs. Are the opposing teams paying his game check?! Becasue he has sure played like it! Even worse we have been in all these games, but his play has easily turned the tide of the most crucial division games!
So here is my recommended solution: 1) Sign Lindsay, 2) trade for Mike Gaskin (RB for Miami was inactive yesterday, and not due to injury as far as I know. He had a really nice season as the starter last year and should be cheap), and 3) send the fumble machine packing! Get on the phone George Paton, you screwed up with signing him again, time to fix it NOW!

I blame 3 and outs for the first 3 quarters by our offense, no ability to extend drives. I saw Denvers defense tired in the 4th quarter, and unable to stop the raiders on the last drive. They looked gassed. Our offense didn’t give them any help through most of the game.
I haven’t given up hope. We are having some growing pains, and we are still 2 and 2. They can get it figured out. I think they will. But 12 wins is probably out of the question.
Thanks for the coverage as always.
What is the appropriate time/circumstance to hit the panic button and how far are we from it? I know we’re 2-2 and all that but the eye test is telling me that something isn’t right with this offense and I’m not sure if they’re even close to fixing it.

Hey guys!
Put on your tin foil hats for a moment. We know about the RT problems, but… Did we curse ourselves at the RB position by turning away from Phillip Lindsey? Instead of going with him, we went with a guy who’s a great player, but fumbles. And running backs after him will continue to fumble in key moments. Until we somehow find a way to rectify it, it’ll be one of those things fans fixate on

Hi boys, a few things:
1: I don’t think this will happen, but if it’s me I’m cutting Fumbeez. Bye bye. A repeated mistake that many times is just, simply, unacceptable. No disrespect to him as a person, but maybe this is why he was on the open market for so long.
2: Are we forgetting that this is a young team that’s still coming together? I still like the trajectory this team is on and feel confident that Hackett and Russ will figure things out.
3: Every skill player with the exception of Montrell (a fellow Samford Bulldog) needs to be lining up at the jugs machine and/or working on not bleeping dropping the bleeping ball.
4: Albert O played exactly 1 snap this game. Greg Dulcich can’t come back soon enough.
Thanks for the great coverage. Go Broncos.

So I lost my voice absolutely LOSING MY SHIT when Melvin lost that fumble. I felt like a 3-yr old throwing a temper tantrum when he didn’t get ice cream. I had Raider fans cracking up in the stands but guys – this shit is far from funny. I am at a loss for words. This shit is unacceptable. I am getting bad feelings about Hackett and the staff overall. Stuff just seems way off with this team and it’s not just “it’s a new staff and a new offense” kind of off. Unorganized, undisciplined, and just seem flat out lost on the field. I will hold off judgment for a few more weeks but this doesn’t look good.
And for those wondering, Raider fans are still a-holes in Vegas, but it was badass to see how much orange we had in that stadium. We took Vegas over this weekend.

I have to agree with Hank here. I don’t have much of a problem with the play calling. You can’t completely abandon the run and ask Russ to cook with this O-line. You do that and the only thing getting cooked is Russ himself.
I have only been able to catch this game and the Seahawks game so far this season and to me the O-Line, receivers annd depth are the weak points of this team. Some of that is due to injuries to the receiving core (Man we miss Tim Patrick), but the O-Line just looks bad. Miscommunication, guys getting beat and holding penalties. This team does not have championship depth and honestly with the injuries continuing to pile up to key players idk if this is even a playoff team this year. But you know what. I’ll gladly take a 8-9 win season and at least be in the hunt towards the end of the season than another 5 win year. This team needs to learn how to be a winning football team, and that takes some time. Love you guys and keep up the amazing work!

Hey guys, really interested to hear you analysis over the coming short week of this bad loss. But I do have to say, Zac has been catching flak all last week for staying level headed and saying that this game could be a bogey for us, and it was. As Zac and yall described it, we did not and truthfully could not make it to 24 points, which meant that our D was out there longer than our O, which showed late in the 4th. Almost felt like that Browns game last year, an organizational loss, more than talent loss. Also gordon’s 7 points lost was crux point..also kind of like that eagles game last year..anyway, stoked for this week! SKO!

That one was rough. Still the long term hopes of this team center on Russ and I’m feeling more hopeful about him after that game at least. The offense as a whole isn’t really clicking yet but his ability to will them to score when they really need it tells me he’s still got it.
Unfortunately I think Patrick’s injury is going to wind up being a major issue all year, Courtland feels like the only real reliable target out there.
Still to me this team looks like a potential wildcard team. Those seasons are always a mix of frustration, ugly wins, and some major bright spots. As fans we seem to be swinging back and forth between the Peyton era and the qb carousel years but in reality it’s going to be messy, at least this year.
love the pod and go broncos

I couldn’t bring myself to listen to the entire postgame show because it’s just too depressing to think about this loss. Not only did we lose to the Raiders, but to Josh McDaniels! Plus we had serious injuries that will likely set the team back for weeks or even longer. I tried to warn folks that the optimism this offseason and the Super Bowl expectations were premature, but people called me a downer. I hope things get turned around and would be ecstatic if we made the playoffs, but I think that I, and many others in Broncos Country, are seeing this as just another season like the past 6. So much potential, so much disappointment. Let’s hope that Thursday takes this horrible taste out of my mouth.

Re-watching the game showed there was a lot of positive. Great to see improvement on offense. There was not a lot of tape of the Raiders running the ball so I think we were caught flat-footed. Need to adjust faster.
How about Jewell gets cause a fumble to the tune of Who Let the Dogs Out: “Jewell knocked the ball out Jewell, Jewell, Jewell.
Or whenever Jewell makes a good play the crowd can sing in unison just the chorus line from Who will save your souls? by Jewell.
That said, here is a KU for U:

Hey guys, it’s been a bit but I have been away with my Baby and new Broncos fan! My comment will not involve an Alzheimer’s Association plug this time as we get out of the Walk Season. My comments will cover the overall scope of the season. First, where’s the RPO for this offense? I feel that could be a missing element to avoid offense woes in the pass and run game. Second, Gordon is lucky Williams got hurt, because he was set to never play another offensive snap again. Third, for the O-line woes, we need Billy Turner and Mienerz back ASAP! We should look to replace Bolles too. Finally, history might repeat itself if the Broncos make no defensive adjustments playing the Colts, who play a similar offense to what the Raiders did yesterday. Let’s hope they get over the hump of all these weird times. Hope to get some stuff going with DNVR and go Broncos!!

The Javonte injury looks significant with Torn ACL, LCL, and Posterior lateral corner. We always say season is done, but this sounds career altering for a guy like Javonte that was so reliant on his strength. Do we ever see the same Javonte return?

I think that at this point in the season we just have to change our perspective. All off season we became so enamored with the newness of everything we set our sight on Super Bowls as a fan base. I think in reality this is the Start of building a Super Bowl team. This season we just look for progress, not rings.

Melvin was in tears during press conference after the game yesterday to the point he needed to walk off the podium. He is a good RB with the ball in his hands who has lost confidence in himself. If we as fans want the best for this team we need to get behind him and help him get his confidence back to push through this season. He has said multiple times over that last few years that he knows all the fans don’t like him.
