Quarterback situation, coaching staff, and injuries.
All can be fixed with a band-aid, but non are long term solutions.

Thanks to that game I stress-ate 1/2 a pan of 7 layer dip and Sucked down 4 pilsners. I feel sick.
What’s the worst thing to eat too much of during a football game?

I’d say hot wings and jalapeño poppers. Especially if you drink a lot, gonna hurt coming out, either direction.

Drew sucked, teddy sucked, defence sucked coaches sucked..
Why do I watch some games and some teams offensive play calls are so easy and they scheme WR’s and TE’a open and it makes for easy completions fo get in a groove and the broncos can’t seem to do any of that? How does drew lock go in cold and they don’t call nice and easy plays to get him in a grove? Some quick and easy throws? I just don’t get it..
Huge game against the Steelers next week. Let’s hope, whoever starts at QB, they actually plan to have quick and easy throws against that Steelers pass rush or it’s gonna be brutal for us to watch again.
P.S – Brady got bailed out by the patriots kicker once again #notmygoat

That was a rough game but I do think we still need to take a breath and give it a few more weeks before passing judgement.
The injuries are really starting to worry me and the secondary was pretty concerning today.
That being said, this season is really going to come down to how Teddy plays and, while his first half was not great, I am nowhere near ready to call him a liability like the internet seems to have decided.
He had a rough first half but Albert O catches that ball and he’s got 100 yards and 2 TDs. Besides, every week you see QBs have a tale of two halves. Him being injured was the number one issue to me in that game since they were only down 10 going in to halftime despite the rough second quarter But the moment Teddy was declared out the game felt over.
Time to forget that one and look forward to a bounce back next week. They’re still easily in contention for the playoffs this year so a lot to look forward to.

Just finished watching the Sunday nighter – one thing has really stuck out to me today after watching a bunch of games including that one and the Broncos game: the reffing in this league is garbage. The inconsistency from game to game in terms of pass interference and roughing the passer is a black eye on the league. Given how important these calls, or non calls can be, it’s shocking how poorly and inconsistently the games are called.
In terms of the Broncos: they got smacked and now it’s time to see what they’re made of. If Drew remains at QB the team is borderline unwatchable. The narrative that the QB camp competition was fixed is officially dead, along with Locks Broncos career.

Hi guys,
Cue the music “Solace” from The Sting movie soundtrack!
I need to vent, apologies in advance!
CATCH THE DAMN BALL
Garret, yes it is on you, you get $1 million a game, time to earn it and stop making excuses!
Shurmur, don’t panic, stick with whats working, RUN THE DAMN BALL
This damned cardboard cut out offensive line is frustrating!
Ok that’s done.
Usually it takes sides a whole new season to erase a losing culture, even longer if its been over 3 years of losing, it’s like a virus and it hides inside minds and comes out when the pressure is on!
Praying Teddy is ok by game time, otherwise i have zero confidence.
Cheers!

I’m just glad no one ended up on IR this week. As for all of the vitriol for Drew…What were you expecting?
I’m over it. Regroup. Do better next week.

Guys, the most frustrating thing about that game was not the loss, the coaching, the injuries, etc. The most frustrating part was watching the Ravens bully our boys and with the exception of Pookie and Caden Sterns, our guys not matching that intensity. Our vaunted secondary got shredded, and when Lamar threw short of the sticks, their receivers bullied their way to a first down almost every time! How do we build a tough mindset like the Ravens have with this team? It seems like this has been a problem since 2015.

Hey guys! Today was the reality check I knew would come. Teddy is better than Drew that is so apparently clear after last nights game. However, even steady Teddy was struggling. The coaching sucks it’s dire and it’s inconceivable to think Paton can not see it. No timeout taken again. The offence play calling is yuck.
This team is. 9 win max.
Draft a QB who can actually win these games.
Peace out
Some People Call Me The Space Cowboy
Will there be a QB worth taking if we have 9 wins though? Picking outside of the top 10 makes it less likely there is a viable QB available.

This game felt TERRIBLE to watch. I turned the TV off after the first punt with Lock at the helm. I was a Lock stan in the off-season, but between this game and Teddy B’s otherwise solid gameplay, I am out on Lock.
After having some time to simmer down after this loss, I have faith that we can bounce back against the Steelers. I still have complete confidence in Teddy to rally the team for next week and beyond. Knock on wood that he stays healthy lest we be Locked out of a winning season. ??? > ???
P.S. Praying George Paton smites Tom McMahon.
Mrs. Quill
This is coming from an eternal pessimist, but I actually feel good about this team still. If Albert O makes that catch, Teddy has two TD passes at half when he was not sharp at all and we are only down 3. I know it’s all hypothetical, but I really feel we would’ve won that game if he hadn’t been concussed.

If that was the first test of the season then the Broncos are the college kid that had every intention of studying but somehow ended up at the bar until 2:00 in the morning. The results not so good. We for sure now know that we aren’t yet a top team but we are going to find out exactly what we are in the next two weeks.
But on the positive side: The DNVR Gameday experience was absolutely incredible. A+ fellas. So glad I came to town for the game and got to hang with everyone. Enjoyed talking with RK, Zac, Hank, Illinois Bronco and so many more great people at the tailgate. The game wasn’t what we wanted but that gameday experience eases the overall sting of the loss a bit. Will be back to see you guys very soon I promise you that.
A few game comments:
Javonte is a bad bad man. Please for the love of God give him the rock more.
We seem to have a young playmaker with a nose for the ball in Sterns.
We sorely miss Jerry Jeudy.
Later fellas

Disappointing loss, Steelers don’t look as bad as some thought so hopefully we can prove ourselves against a decent opponent next week.
What happened with the rushing play to put the Ravens over 100 like what was the exact play, did we have our starters in, etc? You guys mentioned Lamar but there’s no way he was in. I turned off the game after the int cause with 4 seconds left I figured there was no way Harbough valued stat chasing like a 12 year old playing Madden more than the safety of his players.
Jock
What the hell is going on with Fant out there? He looks like he doesn’t want to be out there. Bad body language, not hustling, etc. Am I seeing things or have you guys noticed this too over the last couple of games?
DTL
Hey guys,
So how in the hell do you just abandon the run when down by 1 score. To much recency bias with teddy thinking he can beat a top team with his arm alone that’s not a winning formula. Shurmur needs to get right and hopefully it comes next week ✌ and see yall.

My boys!
Long time, no comment. Hope all is well in the DNVR fam. I’m sooo glad I moved to Denver, because if I was in another city I wouldn’t want to show my face after that bad of a Broncos’ performance. HOW does McMahon still have a job? What is your guys’ faith level in Shurmer? I don’t believe in him or his schemes at all, but I’m admittedly a bit of a strategy novice.
Thanks y’all for your content and being a guiding light during the rough times for the Broncos. God bless, and go DNVR, the bar, Pleasure Horse, and Iceman, wherever he may be!

Hey guys, was so sad to see Teddy go down yesterday. But Lock looked horrible yesterday and once again proved he has no business starting anymore. 1 thing I just can’t get over. Why has the coaching staff not coached him out of his habit placing his deep throws inside? This is something he should have been taught in HS! I was. If you are going to miss it should be deep and outside. Instead with Lock it always seems it is inside. It’s a giant recipe for INTs. The coaching staff should be chewing Lock out on the deep throws he made to Sutton. If those are placed further outside one of them may have been a TD. Purely unacceptable! Com’on coaches, at least fix this obvious simple stuff if Lock has to take more snaps! Hopefully Teddy is back for the Steelers! Sorry for the rant. Go Broncos!

I always felt like the Ravens were going to be the biggest test for the Broncos, while I was excited, I had a lingering doubt. Not because we only bet unbeaten teams, but more because in the previous games we didn’t really see much in the way of adjustments. Luckily we didn’t really need them in those games, but yesterday I don’t really recall seeing any adjustments, by Vic and company. I have felt that this has been a missing factor to the game since Kubiak left. Am I just not paying as much attention as I thought, and missing them, or is this something we have to continue to worry about?
The Matrix
Is the qb competition officially over? We’re you guys disappointed that you didn’t see more from drew given the opportunity

Well it wasn’t the outcome I was hoping for, but my first Broncos game in Denver was awesome! What a great atmosphere, from the DNVR bar, the party bus, the tailgate, to the game, the weekend was nothing short of perfect. Absolutely surreal moment being able to meet you guys and talk football. Words can’t describe how much I appreciate everything you guys do! Hopefully there will be more Denver trips in the near future!
Thank you fellas once again for making this weekend one for the books!
kirksmith44
There’s the Vic Fangio Broncos we’ve come to know! A lack luster offense, a defense that doesn’t live up to its name and a special teams unit that is anything but special. There’s a reason so many people were pessimistic and this is it.
Butch Cassidy
I don’t know what you guys saw but after rewatching this madness I saw the whole team stop playing after Teddy went out. Everyone. It’s a huge statement on how everyone feels about Drew. And if you’re just gonna throw in the towel every time he has to go in… trade him. Be done with it. This team and this organization doesn’t believe in him to even be a backup hero and in my estimation has mishandled him. Send him to Indy or Pittsburgh or ATL or wherever grab a draft pick and let Teddy take us wherever we go. Which after yesterday is looking like just over .500 for the 17th overall pick. And around and around we go.
Some People Call Me The Space Cowboy
Gone are the days of, “The backup quarterback is the most popular guy in town” with Drew Lock. That’s because for the staff and some players, Drew is a known commodity and a low end one it seems like. Drew and Teddy are pilots, not the plane, and the Denver Broncos are losing engines, nuts and bolts left and right!
Some People Call Me The Space Cowboy
Especially with Gordon and Williams being very effective runners!

I’m baaaaaack
Guys,
I’m just not that great of a head coach. Myself and the staff have no clue how to use this roster. Once we mess up our game plan for Pittsburgh, I’ll start packing my things.
Love the coverage and the tailgate last week was awesome. I came in town last minute for the Jets game and couldn’t pass the chance to be at the tailgate!
The media here in Louisville was all over Teddy vs Lamar all week. Kind of nice to see the Broncos get some love here in Kentucky.
Keep up the great work and love all that you do for the fans
Some People Call Me The Space Cowboy
I wonder if Fangio coaches better next week when he’s angry? He seemed fired up after that pad the stats run. Light a fire under this staff and go smash some fools!
