Philly calls and offers pick 21 and 53 for 15.

If you take it, you have

21 46 53 77 88 95

You trade 88 and 95 to the bucks for 45.

You have 21 45 46 53

You take Mims, Viska, Gladney/Johnson and Ruiz/Biardiz

*passes out in ecstasy*

You happy with that?

Am I right? (no, not that dude from Amarillo)

How about this: Broncos vs Chargers as the season opener
-CHJ is heated against us
-Melvin is heated against them
-Court gets to put the burners on CHJ
-Division rivals
You guys can’t tell me that there isn’t any bad blood between the two teams. What do y’all think? Also, what 3 games are you guys looking forward to for this year?

Boys,

Been listening since the disbandment of the ol’ Orange and Blue 760 embarrassed to say I’ve been freeloading this long but….ya got me.

Funny story about 4 loco, my brother used to work at a liquor store in East Lansing, MI that carried four loko (the original recipe) at the shop years ago. They had a basement for storing the backstock and one day he noticed a pool of liquid that had accumulated on the floor.

Turns out the four loko had eaten through the aluminum cans and was leaking all over the place. Shortly after this incident the company discontinued the product and (hopefully) reconfigured the recipe.

Also, am I missing something? Is the zoom footage available to watch? If not, It would be hilarious. Especially if Ryan’s idea of Bronco roulette pans out.

Keep up the great work, we need it now more than ever.

Hey guys I am making my first comment and just bought a year long subscription. Yes you got me. I wanted to join after having so much fun in the madden league and loving the podcasts. Now a Broncos question: What do you think of the signing of Shelby? Does this completely close the whole on the defensive line or maybe we are still taking one in the third round. Hey there. First time commenter and subscriber. Ya got me!
I came to this podcast from another Broncos podcast and stuck with you because I love the discussions. I also feel that an underrated part of the pod is the clever (and sometimes hilariously forced) segways into the advertisements. You all keep me company and keep me awake as I clean restrooms for large businesses in Douglas County overnight. The night staff frequently hears my chuckles echo from the cavernous latrines as you riff about the family jewels.
Thank you for the great content, community, and discussion about the greatest sports team that ever was. I love you Broncos Country!

PS Excellent job with Tales from the Denver Broncos Sideline Mase. It was a wonderful encapsulation of Broncos history with many untold bits of knowledge. Being born in 92′, I’m late to the train, but feel caught up now. Your knowledge and photographic memory never cease to amaze me.

Hey guys,
Do you guys think that Phillip Lindsay will rise to the occasion? At least from a receiving standpoint. I come from an offensive background and when you look at the offense as whole the past two years, they have not been a confident group. When things start to click for these guys will Phillip start to relax and play a bigger role in the receiving game? In college, was Phillip a better receiving back? I haven’t done any digging for his college receiving film, so asking because if Phil hasn’t even been able to catch this sorta rules out his chances in the receiving game.
On a side note, have you guys been doing anything to boost your immune system?

I was surprised to hear your reactions to the possibility of drafting a safety on the Pod! Xavier McKinney was the name dropped by the commenter who asked the question, and I’m not on him or any other first round corner. But it would make a lot of sense to draft a corner with one of our latter third round picks or an early day 3 pick. Kareem Jackson was great last year, but he’s getting older and it’s definitely possible John lets him walk after next season to save $10 million in 2022. I want a rookie safety with upside being groomed in case Kareem walks next offseason! Anybody know of any quality safeties that are deeper down the draft board?

With the signing of Shelby does that leave us with any money for peters or amukamara?
Does this leave Dremont as the rotational guy or do you think the broncos will try to use Shelby at nose(again) or Casey at nose? I know we have Purcell at nose but I’d like to see the 3 best guys out there which in my opinion is jones,Casey, and Harris.
Lastly do you see the broncos using a late round pick on qb to compete with rypien? Nate Stanley from Iowa ?

Is anyone else over here just HOPING the Broncos make a trade to move in the top 10 to guarantee that we get one of the BIG 3 WR? I see all the mocks but I just dont feel good at all about any of those 3 being there still at 15! I keep seeing fans drafting Kinlaw with the 15th pick in mocks. Even tho he looks like a beast, I would hate that and couldnt imagine any 1st round defensive pickup, seems like a waste with huge holes at WR and OL, especially since we resigned Shelby for free almost. Speaking of the defensive side of the ball, who do we LOVE in the 3rd round or preferably later at ILB? In my mind Todd Davis is the biggest hole on our defense. I know he plays with heart but I’d like to see someone more like AJ. Let’s not forget about the CB hole but I’m trying to convince myself that Bryce Callahan is still a real person.

Hello all,
I am reliving the Manning years with the free Gamepass subscription. I am week 6 into 2012 season and it’s crazy how many drops and fumbles from DT and Mcgahee were already. I get that DT was beast but I seriously think they could have gone 15-1 that season if not for DT’s butter fingers. Also just some garbage special teams. Also in a game against ATL Peyton threw 3! picks in the first quarter! That was the only loss I can’t blame on DT.
Anyway my question is this. In this season Chris Harris Jr is only going by Chris Harris. Do you know when and why he went to CHJ. I always thought he had the Jr but he definitely does not in 2012. I have heard of people and players adding Sr. if they have a child they name the same as their own. But did CH find his real dad with his same name and add JR??? Just seems odd.
Keep up the good work fellas.

Well guys, I’m sorry we couldn’t keep Wolfe, but I’m really happy he’s going to a contender like Baltimore. The contract isn’t as much as he was hoping for but $6M ain’t bad for a one year show-me deal.

I’m also happy I’m not Mr. “Super-Agent” Rosenhaus having to explain to Shelby why he only got half of what Wolfe got after hiring him to get paid.

Wow Mase almost called it before it happened. He said Wolfe coming back for 1 year 3.5 mill and shortly after the pod Shelby Harris came back for 1 year 3.25 mill. Elway looking smart again for not over paying. Wolfe goes to Baltimore for 3-6 mill based on performance incentives. Would you rather have had Wolfe or Harris back on their current deals?
Also Can you guys give an update on the cap left after all our moves? I know we need to reserve 9-10 mill for draft class.

Hey guys!

1. This is looking into the crystal ball a bit: in the event that there is no season at all this year, what happens to players’ and coaches’ contracts? Will the length of them not factor in this year? Will players in the last year/prove it deals have to sign new contracts?

2. Four Loco? Mad Dog 2020 (which is a fortified wine btw)?!?! Edward 40 hands and Cario Mart? What’s next? Shotgunning tallboys, king’s cup with hynotiq and goldie oldies, and everyone’s worst jager night? I’m amazed my liver survived college

Hey guys, I have been listening to you guys since Mase joined and listed to every pod. Love it! Finally subscribed (possibly when drunk) and one day hope to visit Denver, see the Broncos, see the bar and experience true Broncos country. Question: as an Australian living in Melbourne, I have watched Gotsis closely. Is his career over or does he have a chance to bounce back? I always thought he was relatively solid if not fantastic. Would the Broncos have kept him if not injured? Keep up the good work and make sure you all watch Tremors.

Is Shelby Harris going to be an attitude problem? I fear he is going to be resentful of the youth movement as well as his pay. Or will Casey be the big dog to keep him in check?
Also a voodoo woman named Phillis saw my future and said that the Broncos are trading up for a WR and that Joe Burrow is Charmin Ultra SOFT and will a Ryan leaf sized bust.

Well here it’s is.. After I threw 4 interceptions and had a fumble in the 3 yard line RK beat me in Madden this weekend so… you got me.

My brother showed me the Pod about halfway through last season and I have rarely missed a pod since then. From the great Broncos content to the Nebraska hate how could I stay away? I’m originally from Iowa (Go Hawks) but moved to DC about two years ago.

Hey DNVR Family,

Sorry I haven’t been on lately. I want to thank the three of you guys for putting these podcasts together everyday. I work in a grocery store and these podcasts help me get though the long hours. I also want to give a shout out to all retail store employees that are working hard during this quarantine to keep shelves stock and the stores clean. I just want to tell people to be respectful to these hard works. We are risking our health so everyone has food for their families. I also want to give a shoutout to a friend and fellow podcast listen and subscriber Jeremy.

I have a lot of things to comment on but I am only going to hit a couple of them now so other people have time to comment and you guys can get back to the AWESOME coverage.

1. Three favorite movies: The Replacements, Tremors ( all 6 movies. Just found out there is a 7th one coming soon ), and Sharknado ( all 6 of them ). I know this might be cheating. Oh well.
2. I know this question is a little late but which players are eligible for the franchise tag? How could Shaq be able to be franchise tagged when he went to Tampa Bay as a free agent and Tom Brady wasn’t eligible for the tag by the team that drafted him?

Thank you and keep up the AWESOME work. Also thank you for the watch parties. The 1983 Colts vs Broncos game was awesome. Can’t wait for the next game.

Dear Mighty Three, thanks for the 1983 Colts@Broncos DNVR watch yesterday. At this time of physical distancing from others, I felt really connected to the DNVR community as we all waded through the dire first half together, and then rode the wave of the crowd noise and the 4th quarter comeback! Great stuff. My other takeaways from the watch: the authentic 80’s VCR interference and blackouts (often on the big plays!), the excellent FIRST DOWN! signal showboating by the Referee, and the ‘kick is good’ celebrations of Colts kicker Raul Allegre. I shall be shouting “ALLEGRE!!” whenever McManus slots his kicks in the upcoming season. Love the pod and your journalism, keep the Broncos watches coming – I’m already looking forward to the next one. Christopher, UK.

Hey Broncos gang, I think I’m gonna set a new record today and you’ll actually appreciate me for it. I was writing another long winded draft question when I just decided to save your three voices for the 26 comments in front of mine, so I’m actually going to keep this comment under 30 seconds in total for you to read. In Pat Shurmer’s offensive scheme, can Noah Fant’s and Courtland Sutton’s ceilings and offensive output be improved upon, combined with Drew Lock’s growth? Also Mase, the cameo your daughter made on the podcast was adorable and I hope she does it again in the future. Thank you guys for operating Monday to Friday in trying times and doing everything you do for us, I can’t tell you how much I love DNVR and how much DNVR means to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you. SHELBYS BACK !!! …. How was ur weekend fellas ?? I spent mine shut down but entertained by Killing colts fans for passing on signing shelby when they got buckner ….. I ripped em all day (how are u putting your faith in Phillip rivers , bro ur offense has so many wholes outside of offensive line , u need a secondary more then u needed dline help ) it was fun ….. Until i asked an honest question that colts fans couldn’t be honest about …….Which would you prefer ….Casey and Shelby for 19 million on ur cap and give up a 7th pick …. Or buckner 21 million and give up a 1st …. They said buckner at that moment i was done lol ….. Because thats ASININE ??? …….

My question today is …. outside of the chargers …… Maybe the 49ers ….. How many dlines at this point would you rank above the broncos now that Shelby is back ???

OMG !!!! HOW IS SHELBY STILL A BRONCO !!!! HE WOULDA BEEN SCARY ON THE CHIEFS !!!! ….. He coulda been better then Jerry tillery on the chargers dline ….. Man i hope.shelby balls we’re lucky to have him im grateful !

P.s. im starting to notice something …. If someone doesn’t see ur team as a contender they judge every move u make a lot worst then if you were on what they consider a contending team because Melvin Gordon to the bucs had the fantasy world raving and analyst saying their going to.the Superbowl if they get Gordon……. But when he comes to the broncos …. Nobody talking about this being the best 1,2 punch since maybe devante freeman and tevin coleman ….. Just talk about the money ……hmmmmm

As I am sure you know, the MLB has allegedly discussed their doomsday scenario of the whole season being cancelled. Part of that is allowing free agency eligibility to go as planned, so players like Mookie Betts, who the Dodgers just traded for, would be free agents without playing a single game!

What do you think the NFL would do here if they were in the same spot and how badly do you think the Broncos would be affected compared to other teams?

Sorry for the double comment, but just wanted to add this point. Mase – I have heard from someone directly in the EPL that they’re potentially trying to finish up the season in the fall, have a two week break, and then go right to the next season. Obviously this is reliant on everything with COVID-19 dying down, but they’re holding out hope the season continues.

Well fellas, I don’t know how Elway has managed to fill all but three holes in a single offseason, but I am thoroughly impressed. However we all know that if the team dares start 0-1 some FANS will be calling for Elway’s heas (again). Its so easy to forget the good of the past in the bad of the moment. Anyways, for my question, how would you feel if Denver traded up to 9 and grabbed one of the elite 3 receivers? What would you pay? I would ask which would you take but it is very apparent that Juedy is THE receiver in this draft. Stay safe and keep the fothermucker rolling, love you guys!

Hey fam. I followed the rules and read the comments before posting, hopefully I get this one in under the wire. I have a lot to touch on but most points are brief

1. RK I totally remember salad fingers. Entertainingly uncomfortable.

2. I’d like to support Onion Booty Bronco by acknowledging Beverly Hills Ninja as a fantastic flick! Chris Rock and Chris Farley have charmed me 10+ times in this one.

3. B

4. I know this is a long past topic but I remember months ago when discussing celebrity Broncos fans being frustrated my favorite among them was forgotten! Tim Allen is a big time Broncos fan.

5. About the Hogwarts houses, Mase’s research may confirm that Gryffindor won a lot of quidditch games and house cups ONLY when Harry Potter was at school. Slytherin was undefeated for YEARS prior to his arrival. They have a bad rep because the author made the antagonists of the story primarily from Slytherin and the House to produce the most dark wizards. People misunderstand that to mean all Slytherins go bad and that’s not true. My Wife is a Slytherin and wears her Green and Silver proudly, I’m in Ravenclaw, high five Mase.

6. One last Brandon Fraser movie to watch is Blast from the Past! CLASSIC. Christoffer Walker and Alicia Silverstone constar.

7. Elway

8. And lastly.
I’m sure Shelby Harris and Wolf have been discussed in length. I was like Mase and was surprised it didn’t go the opposite with Wolfe staying and Shelby leaving. But I’m glad Wolf could leave on good terms.
Praying for Jeudy to fall to 15,
Love you guys
I have spoken, MileHighMike.

Would it be conceivable to keep our 15th pick, trade our 2nd and a 3rd to move into the late 1st round and then take our remaining 2 third rounders to move into the 50-55 range? Basically packaging our top 5 picks for two firsts and a second. Obviously this would be contingent on finding trade partners.

If we could do this, would you be happy with Thomas, Cushenberry and Laviska with those picks? Also, would you make this trade, even if it involved trading with the Chiefs?

What’s up Family? Long-time listener, first time commenter. Just re-up’d my subscription so that I could read all of the work that you guys do besides the pod, as I had let that lapse a couple months ago and have just been too busy to look into the draft and what-not.

Anyway – here is my question and some background:
I used to work for the catering company that fed the team back in the Jake Plumber era. Curious if you guys know with all of the new investments in the facilities over the last 5+ years, what do the guys eat (when they are there..)? I remember the year I was there, the Broncos had signed Jerry Rice before he retired, and Mike Shannahan drafted Maurice Clarett. It was so cool to meet Jerry and feed the team as a fan. During training camp, Maurice used to come into our area and grab ice cream even though the players were off limits from the food storage, and I remember Trevor Pryce eating close to 12 breakfast sandwiches every day. There was also a day late in the year with super bad weather that I was grilling steaks for the coaching staff and video team for dinner. Rod Smith came out and was like, “you guys don’t have a grill inside?! I’ll see if I can get them to help out with that, I have a little bit of pull around here…” That experience was very cool as a fan, to be able to meet the players and feed them – but I do remember not many of them ate super healthy, or their portions were out of this world huge. I would think that with an on-site team, they could structure their diets to be better and help more with weight/physical goals whereas we for the most part just had comfort food, with several options for each meal.

Sorry for the long comment/question, hope all is well with you guys and all the other listeners out there. Please take care of yourselves, but also look out for the at risk populations who may need help!
