With our current running back depth, do you guys think its a smart move to add Dion Lewis to the team since the Titans cut him?

Hey gang,

I’m a few days behind on the podcast, so I wanted to wish you all a belated congratulations on the DNVR Bar! I hope the opening weekend was a blast!

In the comments that were read on Tuesday’s podcast I think it was, MileHighMike posited the question about the 6 NFL teams that share names with vehicles. I think there’s a couple couple more that I thought of, however they aren’t current: Ford Falcon, Mitsubishi Raider, and Dodge Colt.

Now for a Broncos question, I saw the twitter news that the Broncos had signed a long snapper that Tom McMahon has had his eye on to a 1 year deal and we haven’t met with Casey Kreiter. Is there a reason we wouldn’t want to lock him down ASAP? He’s been a pro bowl caliber long snapper and it seems that would be a position crucial in those game on the line moments the Broncos seem to find themselves in all too often. It just leaves me scratching my head.

Thanks, and congrats again, I can’t wait to stop in when I come to Denver!

I’ve seen several national media people comment that this all feels bizarre because usually in times of crisis we rally around sports. Well I just wanna say that I’m dang proud of the sporting community because more than any other institution, sports woke the country up to what we could be facing. The swift action of the NBA being the first domino to fall may be the difference between a disastrous outbreak and a mild outbreak in the US. The data shows that this Coronavirus thing is significantly more lethal in places where the number of cases begins to exceed what the healthcare system is able to handle. That’s what has happened in Italy and in China’s Wuhan province. We may not be watching sports for the next month, but our major sports leagues may have saved thousands of American lives this week.

Stay cheery folks, and wash your dang hands.

Copy and pasting from yesterday because I barely missed the cut.

Boys,

I’m littIe late on the hype train but I cannot believe the news about the bar. Congrats fellas! My wife and I have been trying to plan a trip to Denver from North Idaho for a bronco game but tickets to games are a little out of our price range these days. Now the idea of coming and watching a game at the DNVR bar with all fellow bronco fans and DNVR subscribers would be incredible.

On the other side of things with COVID-19 shutting down almost every sporting event you guys are going to have a tough time with no games to play on the TV’s. Obviously the move would be to play old classic Broncos, Nuggs, and Aves games. Since this is the broncos podcast I’ll keep it broncos related. So I’ll ask if you guys could choose one classic broncos game, excluding the Super Bowl wins, to play on replay in your bar until the Nuggets and Avs start back up, what games would they be? I’m 27 so not quite old enough to remember “The Drive” so I’d pick that game to put on replay.

Good luck with the bar fellas and hope to see you there at some point in the coming seasons!

Mase,

What is the app you use to hear the audio of sports telecasts in bars or restaurants? That sounds like an amazing app and would be really helpful when watching my teams at my local sports bar here in Prescott, Arizona.

Hi guys and congrats on the DNVR Bar opening! I can’t wait to travel out to Denver again, and get to enjoy the comraderie with other Bronco fanatics. I am looking forward to purchasing a new DNVR Bar T-Shirt to wear while watching Bronco games in a Virginia Beach Bar. Good luck and go Broncos!

The broncos can flat out suck as they have of late. Hell, sports can even be cancelled and you fine gents still find the color, still locate and illuminate our world. If there’s never another sports ball game the fine gents at DNVR will always have something to talk about. Let’s face it, you fine fellows are really actually life-commentators that happen to do so through a lens of sports. Kudos.

also, why do we pronounce the words mike, hike and bike like we do and yet we say Nikee when we see a swooshed shoe? Please explain.

Hey friends. Miss Zac again! Let’s talk Covid-19 from a layman’s point of view. Think of Covid-19 as a super flu that can morph into pneumonia overnight, which is why it becomes a mortality issue much more than the common flu. In 1978, I contracted the Hong Kong flu which turned into double walking pneumonia. I spent a week in the old Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center, now the Anschutz Medical Center. I’ve never been sicker, just saying. Mrs. Iceman also had the Hong Kong flu without the pneumonia. She has had pneumonia since. GO AMERICA

I’m sending some extra love to Z today. Stay strong brother.

RK you did it man you created some tears yesterday when talking about community. You are right this place is real special.

While the NFL may not want to push anything back I wonder how this will impact the draft. Thinking pro days may not happen facility visits not happening this could get interesting.

Sending positive vibes Zac’s way.
With all the sports on pause, may I suggest the DNVR book club? Everyone could benefit from reading a little more.

Hey guys. Wanted to give what is likely a final update on my archery team for the year. As I am sure you will guess in this trying time the Kentucky state archery tournament was cancelled. So in you guys opinions would that mean we are in a tie for the state championship? Lol! Looking for a pick me up as all of my team is bummed. Stay healthy my friends.

You guys are heroes. Myself among others for sure will be here loyally listening no matter how long the sports dry spell lasts. If need be I’m ready to go, armed with a handful of off topic questions we need some non sports topics.

I found some easy to understand info on the Corona virus and I would really like to share it with the family. it’s brief and doesn’t take long to share and I think it could help a lot of people find peace in place of fear in these difficult times. Visit
bit.ly/COVID19-DATA
It just shows 9 Graphs and tables that illustrate how the virus has affected the country and world. It states it’s sources and is legitimate.
Some of the less complicated statistics could be easily read by on of our beloved Broncos experts. Like how 80.9% of infections aren’t severe and people can make a full recovery just by staying home and doesn’t differ too much from the flu.
I’m grateful for the DNVR family and glad our community can lift each other up when we’re down.

With love, MileHighMike

Zac we all love you. Our hearts are with you and your girlfriends family.

1. Back to football related, with the possibility of the team being sold, what are the chances the possible new owner would want to relocate? I don’t think it’s has any chance but wanted to hear the experts opinions.

2. I’ve been thinking a lot lately that the broncos might trade up to 31 with the niners, as the niners have 1 pick in the first 4 rounds. I know it would cost us our 2, but what else would it take? 1 third round pick? Multiple?

Thanks guys and stay safe out there!

thinking of zac, his gf and everyone else affected by the sad news. shoutout rk and mase for holding down the pod until zac’s ready to come back.

any thoughts of blake bortles to be the backup? broncos showed some interest in the past and he has a very similar skillset to lock. plenty of starting experience including playoffs.

i get he doesn’t have the…….’backup qb personality’ that you may require from that position, but he checks off a lot of other boxes and he was well liked by his teammates. plus i think he could relate well to drew.

1) thinking of Zach and sending well wishes.
2) I appreciate all your work and pods you bring us especially during this time when we are without sports. Your humor and insights are sometimes the best part of my days.
3) Football question: do you see free agency being pushed back due to COVID-19?
4) Any recommendations for good shows to binge watch on Netflix Hulu or Amazon?
Again thank you for all you guys do, appreciate the 3 of you. Good luck on the soft opening for your bar.

Hello DNVR community. I am a long time listener of the pod, almost 3 years now. I first started listening to the pod for the Broncos news, but now I listen because I find peace and joy in hearing Ryan, Zac and Mase talk ball and life everyday. I listen to the pod every day while taking my dogs out for a walk. I have really enjoyed seeing the growth in the community ever since I joined a few years ago. I just wanted to express my appreciation for all of you guys and girls that keep the DNVR community rolling especially in these weird/tough times. THANK YOU for everything you do.
