Firstly, to respond to The Count…. Riley Dixon.
Secondly, your conversation yesterday about Clark Phillips III reminded of a football question I’ve had for a while. Why is cornerback considered one of the top four most valuable positions to draft? I obviously understand that quarterbacks are the most valuable which then means that tackle and edge make logical sense as the next most important positions (protect yours, rush theirs). But I’m not sure why the next most valuable is cornerback. What makes it so much more important than say a wide receiver or another O-line position?

Come to think of it, I guess the Broncos never respected Dre’Mont.
They didn’t draft him.
They didn’t refuse to trade him in the Russ deal.
They didn’t see his play/production decline when Chubb was traded..
They definitely didn’t see the writing on the wall with his comments about wanting to get paid…

The Okuda trade seems like a steal. Do you think that GMs/Head Coaches sometimes get surprised by how cheaply players get moved? There is no way Paton/Payton are always in on some of these deals, right?
