There’s a lot of poo poo being shoveled on the name of Vance Desmond Joseph and some of it deserved, but I will remind you all (as discussed by Zac and RK on the Feb, 7th 2019 BSN Pod, entitled “Why Denver Fell so Fast after Super Bowl 50”) that in the three calendar years following the Broncos last hoisting of the Lombardi, the Ball Club had 4 different OCs, 3 different DCs and 3 different head coaches. Vance may have ushered in the original tide that lead to our current climate of suck, but there have been many fetid winds blowing over Mile High since 2015. Let us not make VJ our Lone scape goat. Also on that episode RK and Zac get into the nitty gritty of a good chicken sandwich.

Yesterday there was a lot of discussion about the perception of Broncos D being top tier.
Though they didn’t finish that way, I think we can all agree that we’d rather have been the Detroit Lions (top tier O, bottom tier D).
I don’t think there’s any way that our defense plummets that significantly, and our offense looks to be aligned to be that top tier.
Couple o’ Q’s:
Who are two players you want to bring in (or re-sign) for Vance Joseph?
What excites you more about the Joe Lombardi hire, OC experience with Herbert and the Chargers, or OC experience with Megatron and the 11-5 Detroit Lions in 2014?

It’s nice that VJ says he has no hard feelings against the broncos for firing him as HC, and yet that sort of indicates a lack of competitive fire. I guess that’s why they got Sean Payton.

Hey dudes!
Firstly, I have been absolutely loving the past few pods with all the debating and opposing takes. Hearing the three of you in disagreement gives us the most interesting takes and diverse perspectives which makes for my favourite pods. I hate listening to podcasts where the hosts are just echo chambers. Love your work! Onto my question. The VJ hire has given me some concerns and I need you guys to put my mind at ease. Firstly, Henry explained that Vance’s lack of success in Arizona is partly due to the inability of his players to fit his scheme. But to me that sounds like VJ is trying to fit square pegs in round holes which is one of the worst things you can do as a coach. Secondly, Zac emphasises that with Payton, this team will be built on offence and that’s where we should spend our capital. But wasn’t that the exact philosophy with Hackett? And wasn’t that colossal fail the reason we hired Payton as a CEO type? Help me out here guys!
Cheers!

What’s up guys!
After being a listening to for the last few seasons I finally decided to become a member. Got to spread Broncos country all the way out here to TN. I listen to podcasts every day and this is by far the best Broncos podcast out there.
I feel like Davis Webb is a sneaky good hire. The Bills give him a lot of praise when it comes to Josh Allen’s development and they were grooming him to become a coach. Daboll loved him so much he brought him to NY to help Jones like he did Allen. I love this hire and the fact we are getting some young guys to bring in fresh new ideas. I believe he has a real shot to be the next Kellen Moore going straight from player to coach.

Howdy yall, offseason pods are so damn good, this current pod line up isnt like the 92 Dream team, but more like the 08 Redeem Team! I havent laughed this much listening to a pod in a long time, especially earlier this week when discussing DraftKing lines and Zac yelled, “I NEED MORE LINES” lol.
Anyway, this morning’s Athletic article really managed to get everyone to hate on Russ more. I heard a take that essentially was absolving Hackett and coaches from the atrocity of last year…that hackett was actually passing plays to Russ with 40 seconds remaining and it was Russ who struggled to relay calls and caused all those delay of games…are the Jets/hackett in on this media narrative to absolve themselves from having hired hackett?? genuinly confused.
