Good afternoon fellas. A couple of questions for you guys; After now seeing Vic Fangio operate as a HC for a full year what is your honest opinion of him and the job he is doing? Personally I like him and I see him as kind of a off brand Belichick (in a good way), and I like his ability to mask holes on a team. However just like Drew, we are still in wait and see. Also, (assuming Drew Lock is the guy), what do you guys think is the peak for the Broncos during the Drew Lock era? As much as I hate to say it I feel like Denver will be a great team for years to come but always coming up short and finishing behind the elite. Keep up the great work. Absolutely blessed to be apart of this community.

Let’s see what happens this year. I like Vic generally, think he’s a good HC, but not fair to judge at the moment.

Shurmur and Vic, want to see how that pans out.

There were some things we did, as a coaching unit, this year, that I didn’t like. Whether that was Elway dictating to Vic, or if it was Scangarrelo, or the coaching unit as a whole, I am not sure.

I completely agree with Jurrell Casey’s recent statement saying that he feels like the Titans threw him out like garbage. A 7th round pick is way too cheap for a player of that caliber. I am curious what he would think was a fair trade. What do you guys think that Jurrell Casey thinks he is worth? Is he right?

Find yourself a jar of Maille Dijon Originale – ( make sure it is the one is made in France). Buy two while you are at it. It’s the most incredible mustard on the planet. The texture alone is mind blowing. Don’t bother drumming up something to put it on because once you taste it you’ll just be eating it from the jar with your fingers. Yes I have done this many times. If you want to be proper, though, find an artisanal baguette and some top notch pastrami and slather that bread with the mustard as if it were your last meal.

Your welcome !

Boys I’m very disappointed that y’all didn’t get my reference of Drew Lock calling him “HCL”! I have no doubt RK would’ve gotten the reference in which it was supposed to be Horse C*** Lock!!!

*EDIT* posting this very lengthy comment as there are only 5 comments at time of writing…

Why do people keep thinking Cry-baby Newton is that good? I just don’t see it. He’s serviceable as an NFL QB, of course he is, showed some promise in flashes, and no doubt has a bucket load of talent, but he’s a QB with career QBR of under 85 and a completion % of 50 something, all from a large sample size, on successful teams with a good running game and good defense..

Tebow had a career QBR of 80, and 50% completion ratio too, and he gets utterly ridiculed beyond belief. Of course, stats don’t really tell the full story, and Newton is a talented thrower, so much better than Tebow, but I hear people refer to Cam like he’s Drew freakin’ Brees. I’ve even heard HoF said. Whaaaaaat!?

I see a QB who doesn’t have the stats or game film to warrant his ‘I am better than everyone else’ cocky image, someone who exudes unwarranted confidence, and one who lacks the grit and determination to get over the hump and win a Lombardi, and that’s surely the goal here, right?

He’s had one really good season, much like RGII, Don Majkowski, Rex Grossman, Matt Cassel, Jason Campbell, Josh Freeman…..I could go on…….yet those players don’t get the same love Cam gets. Strange, what is it about him? The swagger perhaps? Or maybe my QB evaluation is woeful, or is my original gripe with him clouding my judgement? Would love to hear your thoughts on Newton, and how you three rate him?

My original issue, and this is still what really gets me, is when he entered the league, he had this sort of self-entitled Superman image, demanding respect and stardom. He hadn’t even played a snap. I remember Von thinking the same, and mocking his Superman dance when he sacked him. Loved it, and loved Von for it 🙂

So, that’s why I wrote Sham Newton in my comment on Friday, as to me, he is simply that, the proverbial sheep in wolf’s clothing. All the gear, and no idea. Thoughts?

….and to put the boot in further; Cam ran from Tim in Florida, whether he was going to get expelled or not. The man has no stones.

Tangent; maaaaaaan I miss Tim Tebow 🙁 I am so hoping for XFL Round 2, and The Denver Gold making a come back, with the Golden Boy at the helm of the offense *bliss*

Hello DNVR Crew.
I wanted to say how proud I am of my Broncos and of you guys for going out and making it known where you stand on today’s issues. Seeing the presence at the protests in Denver made me smile and emotional at the same time. It hurts my heart even more that there are people who would trash talk you and cancel subscriptions just for you all taking a stand. Do you think those trash will also stop following the Broncos? But like RK said, we don’t want people like that following anyway.
On to football. What games on the schedule (assuming everything runs as planned) would be absolutely tragic for the Broncos to lose?

My Boys! 75!

Happy Wednesday my guys and gals in Broncos Country.

John Elway to me is the greatest Bronco of all time. But Pat Bowlen has just as good of a case. How can you say anyone loved the Broncos more than him? He put them on the map and did everything for the team. You can probably say he did it even at the cost of other aspects of his life as well. I appreciate Mr. B for doing everything he did for Broncos Country. This one’s for Pat!

Sorry for the diatribe. Here’s my question: aside from any Elway or Manning team, what was the best Broncos offense of all time? If they hadn’t collapsed, the 08 Broncos had a hell of a team. Cutler was dialed in that year, Eddie royal, Brandon Marshall, Clady as a rookie. Also the 03 Broncos with Plummer, Portis, Eddie Mac, Shannon and Rod. Great squad. Wasn’t alive for the 70s or 80s so maybe Mase can add on.

Thanks again, and RK love all the Kyler Murray praise. Boomer Sooner!

John Elway, Brian Leetch and Peyton Manning are the GOATs

My Boys!

I wanted to revisit this Drew Lock at 15, and Colin saying we will win 12 games and beat the chiefs in the division. Zac, you mentioned getting broncos fans ready to run through a wall, well I have gone through it and it has OPENED MY EYES!

There is nothing saying that we can’t go 12-4 this season. We have the offense we’ve has since 2015. We have very nice, young, hardworking guys on that offseason. I see Jerry’s instagram posts, all he is doing is working on getting better! I love that mentality. I also saw the same thing with Sutton and Lindsay their rookie years! We have a lot of highly skilled players and to go along with that skill, intelligence. These guys seem to have a great head on their shoulders and very good work ethic. Our offense is going to be the best its been in 5 years!

Our defense has no reason not to be a top 5 defense. Majority of the players now have a full season under their belt with Fangio, and I’ll let Mase enlighten us the jump that Fangio’s teams have from year one to two. Our secondary is very solid, and our line should be getting sacks like non other.

My boys, it’s time for all of you to run through the wall of the Broncos from the last 5 years, and open our eyes to what this team really has.

I know you guys will and have said that it all comes down to Drew’s play this year, which I completely agree with, but I have zero reason, zero, to not think he is the next franchise player. He has all the qualities you want to have in a franchise, hall of fame quarterback. Ryan, I have beat you to that take.

Thanks for allowing this long comment. I don’t comment much but appreciate all that you guys do. You are all truly incredible. One day I hope to meet you all and tell you guys in person.

Ryan, congrats on the 4 years baby! That’s freaking incredible. I wish nothing but the best for you and Allie!

Mase, good luck with that new puppy of yours. My wife is starting to want another one and I am not ready for it! Also I hope your daughter continues to recover and get healthy again!

Zac, thank you for bringing your positivity every single freaking day! You are awesome! You are a podcast machine and never loose that laugh! All the haters can get outta here.

MY BOYS! Mase’s mentioning of the Washington-Denver game from 2001 in yesterday’s podcast reminded me of another inclement weather game played between the two teams four years later, again in Denver, when Clinton Portis made his return to the Mile High City. Unfortunately, Champ Bailey was out with a hamstring injury and did not get to square off against his original team. The Broncos certainly missed Bailey that day. On a cold, rainy October, not November day, sorry, Guns N’ Roses fans, Ian Gold batted down a Mark Brunell pass on a two-point conversion attempt with 1:09 remaining to seal a 21-19 victory, which kept the game from going to overtime.

My question for today is what is your favorite and least favorite fair or pleasant weather games in Broncos’ history? My favorite is a tie between Super Bowl XXXII and the 2013 AFC Championship Game. My least favorite was the 1996 home AFC Divisional Playoff Game against Jacksonville.

The podcasts that you individually and collectively produce are a daily gift that I always look forward to, so thank you. DNVRMY SALUTE!

Hey bois,
Did you guys see what the broncos posted on their IG? It was a quote from a guy that has officially become Denver’s #1 fan boy. He said, don’t be shocked if Denver wins the AFC west. End quote. I mean I would say most Broncos fans would be shocked if they won the division. Thoughts?
Thanks,
D.L.B

So … Who do u think loves Colin Cowherd more ? Lol ….. Bronco Fans or Vegas. ??? Lol . Stop it Colin ur gonna make Vegas rich and make bronco fans throw money at Drew being a dark horse MVP …… Man National media is so torn on him while he says this … Nick wright is way worst and overboard about lock …. And while Mel kiper down on the draft and Jeff legwold tone insisting were an 8-8 at best type of team ESPN is taking Lock 15th in the draft ?? Geesh lol ……I’ll say this . Colin is vindicated to the extent that ….. We can’t beat the chiefs without Drew at all !!! We can not win the division without Drew …so he right if u believe in Drew ? With this talent he is a dark horse MVP screw it lol !!!! So I’m back at it …. 4000+ yards 30tds minimum 12 or less ints I’ll call it the Colin Cowherd theory lol screw it !

Also one quick question ….. Is something wrong with raider fans even tho we all weren’t huge CEDEE Lamb fans because we had courtland I had 0 issue with him being number one we that raider fans wanted …… But I’m scratching my head trying to understand #1 if they couldn’t get lamb they would be happy with Ruggs over Jeudy lol ???? Dude bronco’scountry was happy with Ruggs as the cancellation prize we were praying for Jeudy !!!! Hoping Jeudy didn’t end up on the raiders because that would suck cuz we wanted him so bad like I use to have raider fans at work saying man I don’t want Jeudy he did poorly on the wonderlick he has a knee issue …..Raider fans were buying all the b.s. press about Jeudy …..is raiderbation dumb lol or was raider media justified in Ruggs being a better pick then Jeudy cuz I don’t see it … in the words of Ryan always go with ur gut in how u felt about something intially …. How did we feel about the top 3 when college season was over ? Jeudy was the #1 wr unquestionably !!! And Ruggs was a late to early 2nd idk how he became the first wr taken and raider fans are annoying me. … Ruggs is awesome but bad pick for that team right ??? Idk lol
