something I was wondering about as you guys were deliberating on DaeSean Hamilton’s grade: how much should the QB play affect the receiving corps’ grade? I know a great receiver like Sanders or Sutton can make up for poor throwing (see Allen to Sutton TD) but can someone with an overall B skill set make up for bad throws or simply not being looked to? I know someone like Hamilton was likely in the doghouse but seeing Flacco not even look his way a few times has been mildly irritating. seems an offense built around the mobility of an immobile QB, jump balls, and check downs might artificially deflate some performances. I just don’t want some students’ GPA to suffer because the long term substitute didn’t know the material.

also, and I’ve been on this train for a while now, since ownership will never be handed over to the city of Denver, give the team to Mase. fur coat and all

Hey guys, love the podcasts and couldn’t help but commenting on a few of the recent conversations.

First, how do Broncos fan lose if the team ends up with Tom Brady? If he is the great #12 that would be awesome. If he does awful, I get to laugh at all these terrible Brady lovers here in Mississippi. My opinion is that Bill Belichick is the biggest reason for the Pats all-time great run anyway, not Brady.

Secondly, did I hear this correctly? Twice this past week R.K. was given the choice of Denver sports stars to fill Broncos roster spots and what does he do? Pick the tallest, big arm guy available for a QB. Such a John Elway move.

I enjoy the info Mase brings to the pod, Miss R.K. when he isn’t there, but have to encourage new subscribers to go with ZAC for the contest. find myself in his corner on most takes. Thanks guys.

In spite of having 0 statistical standout players, the Broncos are the third most efficient defense in the league, fourth in yards allowed per game, and eighth in scoring defense.

Everybody saying BA is the next Siemian is forgetting that in 2017 Trevor was the QB of a Broncos offense that participated in producing 25+ points in 8 games. How long has it been since the team has done that again? In fact, and sadly, he’s probably been the best QB for this team since PFM hung ‘em up. I agree BA is not the long term solution but after 1 game with him this team is at the very least more watchable than w/ Flacco. (Does anyone find it weird “Flacco” autocorrects to “Flaccid”?) Anyway, finding a long term backup QB is difficult, and on good teams and that position is always important. If BA can be that guy for the next few years while John shakes more trees well, we could do worse (Joe).

Is it not fair to give Drew Lock a full year to prove he can or can’t play at this level. I mean look at the improvements Goff made with his second training camp.

Draft two offensive lineman and a wide receiver with our first three picks and give him a chance to succeed. If he doesn’t, look at quarterback in 2021. I’m not sure what the class is looking like, but it wasn’t that long ago this upcoming quarterback class looked pretty weak. Thoughts?

Do you think the Broncos regret drafting Noah Fant. When the Broncos acquired Flacco, he relied heavily on his TE’s and Elway expected him to be in a Broncos jersey for 3-4 yrs. Joe Flacco is no longer the starting QB ( Thank God) but now we have a new starting QB. Does the West Coast System still rely heavily on the TE or did the Broncos select Fant because of the trade for Flacco and his use of TE’s in the past.

I’ve been a Broncos fan my whole life even though I grew up in Wisconsin. Long story short, my cool Uncle is from Denver and the Packers have gross colors/uniforms (a very important factor for a 7-year old). I now live in Indianapolis and was so thrilled to see the Broncos come to town this year despite how they played.

I really believe Lock is who the Broncos believe in. Are they following the Chiefs first season with Mahomes? He sat and they gave him the reigns after sitting the redshirt year. I really hope so.

If you put Drew Lock in a LSU offense this year would he be similar to that Burrow guy? Lots of talent and a great offense, I can’t help but think Drew would look the same. Point being, do we already have a guy like Burrow?

Lastly, the Dolphins are no longer tanking for Tua. Blow for Joe! (Or if you prefer Blow for Burrow). Plus, Tua can’t go to the Dolphins, number 13 is retired.

We are absolutely, 100%, without question, no shadow of a doubt going to tar and feather this delinquent. I wish we had the technology and endowment to ship the man to the moon but, truth be told, I’d miss him too much…even if his mother, Team Gorski, would approve of it, which she would. Our league thrives in dysfunction and conspiracy, and Doobell remains, hands down, the most qualified to steer the ship astray. For that reason, he will keep his crown when the tar and feathering is concluded and there are permanent images—both still and motion—to forever remind him of his humiliation.

Anyhoozer… Even at 3-6, I’ve been getting sentimental lately about the players on our beloved Broncos. It seems there are so many cool guys with whom it would be sensational to imbibe moderate to severe amounts of alcohol or with whom to just shoot the s.h.-word: Philly Will, AJ the Velociraptor, best-hands-in-the-league Shelby, Court, Von, Phil, KJack TV, Hometown Dalton, Bradly Scrub-a-dub Chubb. I mean, the list goes on. As insiders, can you speak of any unsung characters we might not know are a riot? And, part two, if you could form a team of 3 Broncos players to compete in an improv comedy tournament, who would you draft on your squad and why?

I stumbled upon your podcast right before the start of the season and now I cannot stop listening. I have recently subscribed using code ZAC because underdog stories are as great as a Von Miller strip sack. (Although I have listened to and enjoyed Mase’s stuff in the past)

I recently traveled to Denver from a small town in Missouri called Warrensburg. I spent about a week there and got engaged at Bear Lake! Additionally, I brought home some Strawberry Skys and they are fantastic. You guys make cubical life a little less boring and I appreciate all of your takes. Keep up the fine work!

Hey! How’s it going for my favorite 3 amigos? No,no, no TB12! Love me some Joe Burrow! I liked him last year even when he wasn’t looking as good as he is this year. I’m not very high on Herbert and a couple games back the announcer said that he isn’t and doesn’t want to be a leader in the locker room. That’s a big red flag to me. Thoughts?
I like fixing our line in the draft as opposed to free agency because of the cost effectiveness of it and let Munchak develop them. Thoughts?
Left tackle should be first lineman taken, then interior. Do you target a center or guard or do target best available and move Conner if needed?
How about that LSU/Bama game! Geaux Tigers! Unfortunately the receiver’s on both teams didn’t quite live up to the hype but those 2 rb’s did! Juedy looked human against real competition. Sorry Mase your boy Stingley Jr. was looking like Yiadom out there! Didn’t belong but he is a true freshman so time will tell.
Was there any bronco brass there? So much talent on display!
Drew must get back to practice this week! They can say they are following farve/Rodgers or smith/mahomes model but they aren’t because those guys were actually PRACTICING!
Last thing. Why do think our D isn’t getting the turnovers like we thought they would? Is it a still getting up to speed in Fangio scheme thing?

I hate it but I just can’t see a route in which cam is not the QB for the Broncos.

He’s tall, strong arm, former MVP and past his prime tailor made for Elway.

Also there’s no #1 on the roster.

Your QB room would consistent of jerseys #1 #2 and #3 that’s kind of cool I guess.

I am dead set against this but Elways doesn’t care what I think lol.

3 days until I get married and 4 until I leave for a 7 days cruise. Just gotta make it that long lol

Mase I hate to say it but it looks like your guy Burrow locked up the number one pick this weekend and essentially the Heisman. But there is one guy who will be there in prime position for the broncos to get the best steal and talent grab of the draft…oh you guessed it…Ceedee Lamb!!!! Dude was a monster again this weekend with 167 and 2TDs this weekend. I understand left tackle is a huge need but this draft is deep with lineman and receivers and with the non existence of another wide receiver on the roster I would dare to say that we need a great one two punch there maybe more than at o-line! Plus we can always sign a tackle in free agency (albeit not the greatest strategy) or trade back up if there’s a guy you like in the first round. I just think it would be dumb to pass up on a guy that has the potential to be All-Pro for years to come and wait till the 3rd and take a chance on getting another Daesean Hamilton type that just disappoints. If we’re sitting at 10-14 and Ceedee is sitting there idk how we wouldn’t pounce on them if the top half of the draft is really a talent grab.

What does the free agent WR pool look like for this year? Any good options for a number 2 WR in free agency?
