It was a busy weekend in the Denver Broncos’ head coaching search. Is Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh still an option to be the team’s next head coach? What about former New Orleans Saints’ head coach Sean Payton? Do the Broncos need to expand their search to include Cincinnati Bengals’ offensive coordinator Brian Callahan or Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon? Will the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl?
On the DNVR Broncos Podcast, Zac Stevens, Ryan Koenigsberg and Henry Chisholm are coming to you LIVE from the DNVR Bar to break down all of the latest news in Broncos Country.

Ok, so first can we just talk about the intentional grounding? The ball was 8 yards from Samaje when it hit the ground, that’s the facts (watch the video) and where it bounces doesn’t matter. Where in the rules does it say in the vicinity of a receiver is defined as where the ball bounces when it’s no longer catchable? That’s so ridiculous, no offense RK.
NFL operations do say “A realistic chance of completion is defined as a pass that is thrown in the direction of and lands in the vicinity of an originally eligible receiver” The direction of Burrow’s pass is at the ground, he aimed it into the ground. Samaje was not there, he was 8 yards downfield.
Anyway, this coaching search is frustrating! After the season we’ve had and ownership saying they’ll be aggressive, we better get our second option, MAYBE our third option. Apparently, there’s reporting now Harbaugh is the top candidate but will almost definitely not sign with the Broncos and Demeco was the 2nd option, not 3rd. Well if that’s the case and we lose them both, we better frickin get our 3rd option, Sean or whoever it is. How are we going to be the pathetic, sorry, unattractive poverty franchise that can’t entice top coaching candidates?
I’m holding out hope to see what happens next, fingers crossed.

Are we forgetting how the NFL screwed Cincy the most. They were going to beat Buffalo in the regular season and be the 1 seed but because that game was rightfully cancelled the Bengals we’re screwed from being the 1 seed and hosting the AFC Championship. The NFL should of made the KC/Cincy a neutral site game as well. Anyway this coaching search might be more painful than the regular season was. I just want to enjoy being a Broncos fan again.

hey guys,
so if harbaugh is out according to schefter, demeco ryans is in houston. dan quinn is back in dallas, and 4 other candidates have been told that they’re not in the running AND mike klis says that they’re not planning on expanding their search…..doesn’t that mean they kinda have to go after payton?

I think Hank and Numbeez watched a different game than everyone else on Sunday. OPEN YOUR EYES to the inconsistent officiating that CLEARLY favored the Chiefs. If it wasn’t “rigged”, the game was decided by the officials and that should never, ever be the case. They should be made to do press conferences and fined just like the players so there is some sort of accountability!
People talk about how some organizations run a “tight ship”, well this coaching search feels like the first time I took my boat out. I didn’t really know what I was doing, so I had to learn the hard way every step of the way. On the way to the lake, we got a flat tire on the boat trailer a la Hackett getting fired before he even got to the end of the season. While backing it down the ramp, I jacknifed the trailer and ran over my trolling motor. While the Broncos ownership has been meeting with candidates, the Texans came in and ran over their plans for Ryans. Once we got on the water finally, the engine overheated about a mile from the ramp and we had to PADDLE BACK. Since the Harbaugh plans overheated, the Broncos have been paddling from candidate to candidate struggling to make choices a la pleading with Harbaugh last week. If there’s a plan behind this it better be a damn good one because otherwise I fear this ship is sinking back into irrelevance and embarrassment.

Do you think it’s possible that Jim Harbaugh simply doesn’t want to put his Alma Mater in a bad position with National Signing day being Feb. 1? If it feasible that Harbaugh and the Broncos have agreed to terms, and an announcement is being delayed so Michigan can sign their 2023 class, and then Jim can leave for the NFL without putting the college he loves in a bad position?

Time for an ELECTRIC COACH CONSPIRACY!
If we have to request an interview, the candidate becomes public knowledge. So mystery big HC is probably not a current coach…UNLESS there is backchannelling going on for a trade!
Rob is off hunting with his relative and fellow NFL team owner Stan Kroenke, negotiating the following: Broncos, as an AFC team, negotiate to get Sean Payton for relatively small draft capital from the Saints (say a second next year). They then FLIP Payton and this years first rounder to the RAMs for a second and none other than SEAN MCVAY, who has been flirting with retirement and is ready for a change of scenery, and a younger roster. Payton gets LA, McVay instantly is back in contention, both coaches get the bag, and it is an absolutely massive move for both franchises.
And the best part? You literally can’t prove this wrong right now because NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING! It’s Schrodinger’s Coaching Search!
