Haha! I have to admit that I was a bit proud when my question about foreign born Broncos players caught Mase a bit off guard… I wasn’t sure such a question exists. Btw, your pronunciation off my user name is perfect, even if it reminds RK about diarrhoea (thanks).
Have you guys ever asked a player a question which you immediately regretted afterwards, maybe because it was inappropriate or you got the facts wrong?
And what was the most awkward interview experience of each of you?
Craig L
A few things I’ve built up over the last few weeks.
1. I’ve felt like it was time for a name change, use to be CraigL, but that felt too boring.
2. I don’t understand the rules, but the best any time meal is a full English breakfast. And yes, black/blood pudding should be on the plate.
3. Mr B
4. Payton always puts his statements out through the Broncos social media. He doesn’t have his own channels and lives in Denver, but should we read any more into it than that?
5. If you’re going to pick a English football team, I think you should do it by picking your favourite jersey.
6. I’m so excited for the draft. Every year I feel more knowledgeable about it, all because I subscribe to DNVR.
7. Is for John.
8. I have created ‘DNVR Fan page’ as a Facebook group, with the aim to celebrate this awesome DNVR community, including a place for support. Please come join. Link to group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/630492587765676/
Life’s a …… but hopefully can be back commenting and joining in more again.

Hey guys i was actually visiting family in Denver a couple of weeks ago and because of you guys and had Beau Jo’s with a friend and it was incredible! I had the Sky Hawk with green chiles and it was incredible! I also drank my weight in Vanilla Porter and thanks to the Breck Brew beer locater you guys mentioned, I found Vanilla Porter and Strawberry Sky here in Texas!
Going back to the Aqib Talib conversation, do you think that Chris Harris Jr, regardless of what happens this FA, can also get in to the HoF eventually on the strength of being a huge part of the No Fly Zone? Aqib and CHJ were the heartbeat of that secondary and I wonder if it goes both ways.
940Bronco
Yes I am from DFW! It’s cool to know there are multiple people from North Texas that are part of this community! Wichita Falls still can have a 940 area code as North Texas is mostly the DFW metroplex with a couple of cities sprinkled in since we are so close to the Texas/Oklahoma border.

what if the broncos put together the all-tcu team this offseason?
-starting with naming patrick morris their starting center. schlottman can stick around for depth
-then they sign halapoulivaati vaitai (i hope zac’s reading this btw ?) to start at right guard
-bring in josh doctson to compete with tim patrick for the wr3 job
-they sign jason verrett for close to the vet minimum for (unreliable) corner depth
then they trade a day 3 pick to the bengals for tcu icon andy dalton to be the backup
and they maneuver up and down the draft to select jalen reagor, lucas niang, jeff gladney and ross blacklock with their remaining draft picks

I know it’s not normally yalls style, but can we get a Steve Atwater interview on the pod with mase or with the whole crew? Us living outside of Denver don’t get to hear his work that he’s up to now and would love to hear this.
BroncoBornBroncoBred
And we’re all dying to hear someone else’s answers to how many holes in a straw, best pop tart flavor, what meal conquers the 3 meal debate, etc. #GetAtwaterOnThePod

my take is that if wes welker is considerered a hall of famer for pioneering the slot receiver position, then chris harris should be considered in the same light for what he did for slot corners.

Hey guys! Haven’t commented in a long while & not sure if you remember me from before…but I’m the one that moved from Utah to Vegas, full time uber driver & went to Snow College with Mr. Bolles. Ring a bell?
Anyways…I have a lot of questions but I’ll spread them out over the next few pods. Today’s question is: I’m curious to know what each one of your journeys have been like that have allowed you to be in the positions you’re at today. Please include ages of when you started school and ages of each one of your stops up till now.
From a very young age I’ve always wanted to have a career in sports media in some sort of capacity. However growing up in a small town that has all of 3,000 people(Manti, Utah) and the pre-social media world I didn’t know what the chances of making a comfortable living in sports media would be like or what the route to even start…so I caved and went the basic route by going to college for social work…I graduated from Snow College with an associates of Arts degree but by the time I finished I was already over the idea of working in the social work field. It’s now been almost 5 years since I’ve been in school & will be turning 26 next Saturday. So I think it’s now time for me to follow my dreams especially given that the Raiders are coming(hate them), the Golden Knights are here and NBA and MLB teams are also on the horizon. Given that…I feel like now is the perfect time to start from the bottom so that when sports are booming here I can hopefully be a part of all the fun.
I’ve found a degree out here in Vegas at CSN that I feel would be the right first step. It’s an Associates in journalism/news production degree. I’m looking to start this fall and should be able to finish in a year instead of two given that most of the prerequisites for the degree I’ve already completed.
So I guess what I’m looking for is some guidance/advice of how to get to where I want to be…what should I be doing on the side while getting through school that will put me a step ahead of the competition? Internships? Building a portfolio? Any advice from the GOATS will be much appreciated! Also if any of my fellow commenters have any advice I’ll take it as well!
P.S. The perfect MNF crew imo would be Gus Johnson(Play-By-Play), Peyton Manning(Color), and Pat McAfee(Sideline reporter. Also I’d love to see Motley Crew perform in the Super Bowl! Jazz>Nuggets!
Thanks for all you do! Your pods keep me going during my long days of driving around tourists all day!?
Go Broncos!

Please ignore the top of the comment. I did this in my notes and forgot to erase it before pasting haha

*No edit button. But I meant to say journalism/media studies-news production track*

Double dip alert:
What about this draft scenario…
Take one of the 3 top receivers (lamb, Judy, ruggs) and then trade back into the first round to then scoop up laviska…
Imagine it, you would have those 2, fant, and Sutton, sounds like a certain recipe that may or may not have just won a super bowl

Hey guys,
So quick story, the company I work for is based in England, and we are the North American HQ here in western KS. So I’ve kinda mentioned the Broncos May play in London next year most likely in October which would coincide with our slow period. So I kinda hope I can go over to England, then go to our factory during the week, and then go to that game but get my flights on the company, any time anyone goes there or comes here we fly from DIA to Heathrow anyways, so it would work out. So if I get to, we could all hangout and potentially all get BOD, but in England it’s probably called BBOD (Bloody Black out drunk).
Also my boss’s boss likes Denver and KC because he was here in the 90s and liked both teams lol, I told him that’s not really allowed but he still likes both.
Anyways Go DNVR,
Mark in Kansas.

Hey friends. Waiting to wear my new # 55 when, not if, Bradley makes his first start of 2020. I happened to hear R.K. from 4 weeks ago on the Denver Broncos United Kingdom podcast, great job as always! GO BRONCOS/DREW/CHUBB

This would be AWESOME. Mase has NEARLY convinced me to buy an Atwater Jersey. I want an old authentic one though, and been trying to find one on eBay, but alas, nothing yet.
Hayduke_Abides
I got a bit behind and caught up on the last few pods today. I had a thought while you guys were discussing the trade for first overall pick rumor.
If three first round picks was the cost to move up for Wentz, it would have cost us Lynch, Bolles, and Chubb. I’m betting that if we had Wentz we aren’t picking 5th in 2018 either.
I think Chubb will bounce back and be great, but still…
With the benefit of hindsight, do you make that trade?
Asking for a friend
What qualifications does a player need to get their jersey retired? Is it more or less rigorous than the HOF?
Garett Bolles
Hi guys!
Question for Mase: Do you ever plan on doing a baseball podcast with Drew during the offseason? I want to hear more of your baseball takes coming from a fellow huge baseball guy myself.
Good thing we have the Broncos, Nuggets, and Avs to watch while we watch the Rockies franchise fall apart in the hands of Jeff Bridich and the damn Monforts.

Hey fellas,
With the Michigan State rumors floating around I can’t help but wonder- who would be other candidates if Shurmur were to up and bail on his Broncos Job?
Also, do you think the Broncos would trade up for Jeudy? If so, or even just hypothetically, what teams would be the likely trade targets?
-LowCountryBronco

Thoughts and prayers go out to Jay Bouwmeester and his family. He collapsed on the bench during the blues and ducks game I was at. This kind of stuff rattles you to the core
Screw This
In order for Lock to compete with Mahomes we will need to have another amazing draft class and be agrresive in free agency. Take it from me Mahomes has been a long time rival. Mine and his high school are big time rivals and I remember him beating us every year. Luckily I went to A&M and we left the Big 12 before he got to Tech. Which player would you take if Juedy and Thomas are there at 15
BroncoAggie24
Aaayyy. Glad to see another Aggie!

Who is your favorite Broncos enforcer? Among the best in my opinion were Lyle Alzado, Bill Romanowski, and Aqib Talib. My favorite by far is Aqib.

If Shurmur leaves, I’m going to need to put in my relaxation tape and say the mantra “Serenity Now!” Until my pop tarts expire.

Hey guys,
Not Bronco related but I was wondering if you have any non-sports podcast recommendations. Mine would be “Your Own Backyard” which talks about the disappearance of college freshman Kristin Smart who has never been found. One of the best I have ever heard. Thanks for all your hard work. Go Broncos!

mel, mel, mel…. oh no baby. what is you DOING baby
i get that msu were offering way more money and resources but double crossing the recruits, the fans and the donors just hours after he met with them? i’m not even a buffs fan but even i feel betrayed after hearing this
gotta give props to shurmur for staying loyal to the broncos though. msu were interested and he could’ve easily pursued that job if he wanted to.
Hardrocker
I gotta agree mel tucker did cu dirty, I guess it means they are a second teir now.
I also got to give shurmur props he easily could of just turned and left.

Mase, I have to disagree with you on Talib being worthy for the Ring of Fame. He is not worthy, not even close in my eyes..
John Lynch isn’t either, but he’s got more credentials than Talib. Better player, better person, and more likely to move back to Denver than Aqib ever will; I think Lynch more likely to call Denver home than Talib, and that’s important – to me anyhow.
I am willing to make an exception for Peyton Manning being a Ring of Famer, just because of his fame, position, SB50, and his proper love for Denver.
4 years here and a Super Bowl, should not make you a Ring of Famer imo.
Some other interesting names to discuss, off the top of my head…
Tim Tebow – 2 seasons
DeMarcus Ware – 3 seasons
TJ Ward – 3 seasons
Danny Trevathan – 4 seasons
Julius Thomas – 4 seasons
Emmanuel Sanders – 5.5 seasons
Elvis Dumervil – 7 seasons
Ryan Clady – 8 seasons
Chris Kuper – 8 seasons
Derek Wolfe – 9 seasons *
DJ Williams – 9 seasons
Demaryius Thomas – 9 seasons
Ed McCaffrey – 9 seasons
Trevor Price – 9 seasons
Chris Harris Jnr – 9 seasons *
Von Miller – 10 seasons *
Von Miller and Demaryius Thomas are the only two that should be nailed on for me, but I would put most of these names ahead of Talib, even Tebow. It is called Ring of FAME after all, and that beautifully sculpted big Florida boy is as famous as all of them 😉
Thoughts? Oh, and Tebow shouldn’t be in the RoF. That was a joke! 😀
Love you guys

You’re crazy man. We don’t even make it to Super Bowl 50 with Talib. He was straight up lock down.
HtownBronco
**without** Talib.
He made the defense move as a unit. Brought the sauce.
Soon as we traded him we started sucking on defense incredibly bad.
HtownBronco
Salary Cap question.
So I’ve always wondered this.
Why is it that every media company always lists differing amounts of salary cap space available to a team?!?
The Broncos this year, for example,
Are listed with between $56M(ish)-$63M(ish) in cap space available. Depending on which article you’re reading.
So first question. What is the real number. There can obviously only be one true amount.
Secondly. How are people calculating this stuff?! Is it just bad calculations from the media side? I don’t get it? It’s not rocket science. It’s just simple finance and contracts.
Always been confused on the different amounts.

Who were the WRs and TEs that Shurnur had when he was OC or head coach? Daniel Jones played pretty good for not having any real good studs on offense. I think with the weapons we have and can get via free agency and the draft, this could be the best offensive players shurmur has ever had.
Hope Ryan is feeling better after hearing about Mel Tucker. Have a good one guys.
Hey Guys!
Would any of you want to attempt getting into coaching? Pop Warner, High school, college, XFL, NFL? You all are quite the intellects and it sounds like y’all would make great coaches!
P.s. this isn’t me offering any coaching opportunities haha
larrydennjr
Mannnn I hope Pat doesn’t go to Michigan State Zack is right thst heart will tell your mond what not to do I mean no football program was in worst condition then oenn state and that catipulted Bill O’Brien’s career … Let’s be honest how many head coaching opprotunites is Shurmur gonna get in the nfl … Man i had the toughest time defending the hire to MY BRONCO FRIENDS !!! I agree with mase man i think shurmur is an awesome coach but i feel he got crappy rebuilds with little time to turn things around and my dense friends look at his coaching record as if thats indicative of what he can do as an Oc (so unfair ) …… I hope Pat stays i think he wanted drew Lock and thats why hes here no disrespect to the Broncos but i woulda went to the eagles ALL DAY OVER THE BRONCOS lol so the fact he came here i think he wanted drew he knows what drew can do and intends to hit or extend that ceiling !! …… Quick question ….. Im hearing the byron jones stuff swirling around but Dallas has had issues getting turn overs and their main reason to oart eays is because byron doesn’t get turn overs he gets pbu’s and pd’s but no ints much …… Knowing that how much would u be willing to oay for him. ….. P.s. NFL NETWORK PUTTING DWAYNE HASKINS ABOVE DREW LOCK IN THEIR QB INDEX IZZZZ ASININE IF Dwayne haskins played like he played for us like he played for Washington ??? Lol were drafting Justin Hueburt this year guranteed no way in hell he played better then drew ….lol Drew im 5 games had the same tds as him 4 less inta 15 percent beter Completion percentage and the same yards relatively in 4 less games then him WHY MUST NATIONAL MEDIA HATE ON THE BRONCOS ITS INSANE TO ME !!! LOL
LowCountryBronco
Guys,
Another quick question. Do you agree with NFL.com placing Drew Lock at the number 29 spot in their QB index?
-LowCountryBronco
Mr.Undrafted
What would you have to give up to move to 10 and who from 7-10 would even want to move back? Cause you guys have said there are a couple teams looking for qbs and linemen. Would trading with the lions be the best bet because then we could get the best WR or linemen without giving up even more to move to 1
BrentG
Morning my guys,
I just wanted to send my condolences to RK. That’s a weak move by Tucker and even as a CSU Ram alum I feel for ya.
And if it makes you feel any better, I felt the same way when we HIRED Steve Addazio soooo ??♂️ What can I say, just guys bein dudes.
“guys an idiot” -Baker Mayfield voice
Drew chea
Fellow Ram fan here and admittedly I don’t feel nearly as giddy as I thought I would when the rumors started over the weekend. I feel bad for the kids who now are without the coach that recruited them. I am sure Mase can fill us in on other examples of other coaches in the one-and-done realm like this.
Also does anyone else remember the Beau Jo’s location that existed briefly in Parker? I grew up in Elizabeth and was pretty happy that I didn’t have to drive to Idaho Springs so get my ‘za fix. I don’t know if it lasted even a year there and something I haven’t thought of for a really long time. Luckily I live in Fort Collins and can get my fill of delicious mountain pie anytime I want.
Alaska_Preston
Hey fellas,
I heard the APB put out by McCaffriene (sp?) Addict yesterday to help SuperBowlen find a financial planner. I’m actually currently working an internship with a financial planning company and would be happy to see if I could help SB out. If he could drop his Twitter handle or some other way I could reach him, I’ll be sure to.
Now onto my question: maybe this is a bit too hypothetical, but do you guys think you could give us realistic numbers for Drew in terms of TDs, INTs, passing yards, and team wins in the following three scenarios:
1) Drew crushes it and cements himself as the long-term starter.
2) Drew plays alright and earns himself another year of observation.
3) Drew falls off a ledge and Denver decides they need to look for a QB in the 2021 draft.
I think it’s important for us, as fans, to build realistic expectations for what next season may look like.
Thanks for the time guys and much love to this great community.
D-Dubs
When you fellas brought up bad Broncos jerseys to have, shame filled my being, as one naive freshman in college decided to make his first ever jersey purchase a orange No. 12 Paxton Lynch jersey precisely 3 days after the draft. Not sure if I’ll ever live that one down. Needless to say I haven’t bought one to replace the dab master himself, but I can find some comfort in my grandmother finding some use in that overpriced kindling.
