Hey Guys, this Saturday is the Alzheimer’s Association’s Cornhole Tournament! I’d love the DNVR Fam to come on out to learn more about what and how the Association is doing in the Colorado Community! It’s a good distraction from this disappointing season. My take for this team is they love to play what I call “Uncomplimentary Football.” Take the game yesterday, the Broncos go up 10-0 towards the end of the half. All the defense has to do is force the Titans to a FG or stop them to put us in great position at the half. Instead, they play passive coverage letting Tannehill hit slant routes to go up the field and score. Then Malik Willis in the 4th fumbles the ball, giving the Broncos great field position to try and score a FG or TD down by 4. Instead they go 3 and out setting the Titans up for their FG drive. It’s happened all throughout the season, and until they click together, there’s no way we are winning consistently. Hope they shock us all and make a miracle run. But at this point, we can only hope we win enough games to push the picks Seattle benefits from into the top 15 or 20 mark. Support Denver RivALZ and Go Broncos!

Two more thoughts/questions to add. First off, if Hackett cannot come through and they fire him, who would your top 3 Coaching choices be? Experienced Coaches only! Second, if Wilson does not pan out the next year or two, I forgot if there is a clause in his contract where it could be cut short. What year would that be around? I’m hoping that’s not the case, but out of all the years for Wilson and the Broncos to suck, this is the worst year to do it when you don’t have high first and second round draft picks to help with. If we miss the playoffs this season, it will mark the longest playoff drought in franchise history since the Broncos AFL Days. I love this team, but it feels like there’s an unsolved curse surrounding us. Either way, thanks for what y’all do day in and day out, Go Broncos and support Denver RivALZ!

Well this season has been rough. I really wanted to like Hackett but it just doesn’t look like it’s going to turn around. However, I’m with Ryan that the solution is to figure out how to fix Russ. To me that starts with building the scheme around making him comfortable and then investing heavily in OL next year and maybe adding a reliable veteran WR.
While it’s possible he fell off a cliff at 32, I just find it hard to believe a guy with his level of sustained success fell off this hard or that somehow Seattle took a bottom of the league guy and gave him a 10 year hall of fame career without any of it being Russ. It seems more likely that the ridiculous offensive dysfunction Denver has had wasn’t simply a qb away (unless the qb was maybe Brady or Manning).
In that spirit is there any potential in getting one of Russ’ old play callers in and getting him back in his old system? Regardless they need an experienced hand to try to right the ship at HC.
Sorry for the rant, thanks for making the season a bit more bearable.
I can’t bring myself to discuss this season right now, so I want to look at the bigger picture. But not for the Broncos, for Russ. If he continues this spiral, is he still a shoe-in hall of famer? Was he already a “guarantee” to get in, so it doesn’t matter now? Is he hurting his legacy enough to push him out of the HOF conversation?

Hey all!
It’s gotten rough enough that even my indelible optimism is proving to be… delible. I generally don’t understand the hesitation of head coaches to give up playcalling duties when it clearly isn’t working. Did we hire Hackett to call the offence or did we hire him to win games? At least in this situation it doesn’t seem to be arrogance driving that.
If we do go back to the coaching bucket, PLEASE no “experienced” head coach. I know we’re once bitten twice shy with that, but a cursory look around the league shows that, as far as first time or young head coaches go, Hackett is more of a rare exception to the rule.
Bienemy often comes up, and it is becoming increasingly odd to me that he doesn’t have a HC job. If GMs are hesitant to hire coaches that have interpersonal issues (which is just an assumption on my end as to the issue, he has been calling plays for YEARS), how come Josh McDaniels has gotten like 3 head coaching jobs?
To end, I’ve got a fun conspiracy theory. Hank had mentioned that uniforms take a long time to change in the NFL. If you’re Damani Leech, how do you speed that up? Field ugly uniforms, stir up the fanbase, and then start building expectations up for a change with a little survey… Then you’re going to the NFL office with some money numbies to back it up!

How does Jeudy get hurt on the first play, Russ throws 42 times, and we only get Dulcic one catch on four targets? Whose fault is that, more on coaching for not scheming him open or more on Russ? I saw he was involved in 89% of routes so I am just baffled at the lack of creative ways to get him involved.

The Draft has not been kind to this team – the 2020 draft ( a group that should be the face of this team is, well…)

Short and not so sweet.
Im starting to not love football any more. This franchise has killed my passion. I no longer wear my hats or jerseys. The only Broncos related attire I wear are shirts made by DNVR.
I dont even turn on Sunday ticket anymore, Id rather get up and clean the house and run errands than watch other teams have success.
Call me spoiled all you want but I just dont love football anymore and I blame this team for that.

My boys! It’s been awhile since my last comment but I’m still listening daily. I will be at the game this weekend where I plan on painting my head. I am very excited because as a veteran this would be the first military appreciation game I will be going to and I will get to go with some of my girlfriend and family who has not been able to see a game together in person before. And we plan on trying to go to the tailgate. So I am well aware this season has been kind of a wash but it still doesn’t discourage me from any game this year. Now with that being said I don’t blame all of the offenses troubles on Russell Wilson. Granted he hasn’t played the best I still blame most of our shortcomings on the Coaching as well as a mixture of injuries. With that being said who do you think our head coach will be next season? Obviously the best choice would be in my opinion Sean Payton but in reality who do you think it would actually be and would we be able to keep are defensive coordinator? anyways I can’t wait to see what y’all think thanks for the podcast. Sorry for the long comment and I can’t wait to see you guys again. Let’s go with hate week and destroy the raiders and possibly ruin Josh McCheat’s head coaching job. GO BRONCOS and LETS RIDE!!!!!

Fellas! Long time since I last dropped a comment, but make no mistake I’ve still been tuning in. Thankfully we have DNVR to continue getting thru these bad seasons. Can’t wait for the day the broncos are actually back to bring the mood up. Anyway, what if the broncos just used all of their picks on offensive lineman? The LA Angels used all 20 of their draft picks on pitchers a couple years ago. Might be worth a shot!
Go broncos and go DNVR
