Warning: this is a week one overreaction written by a Bronco fan tired of scoring 16 points for the last decade.

In past seasons I’ve felt like we’ve had good teams that have underperformed. This is the first year where it feels like we just might not have the players. At what point do we need to be honest with ourselves and say we don’t have the guys. Especially at skills positions. For example, Courtland is no longer a young promising WR. He is who he is. And who he is, is a guy who can’t create separation in his routes, get’s 4 catches for 32 yards, and can make a nice deep ball play every once in a while. Russ can’t push the ball downfield if nobody is open, thus the check downs. Other than PS2 and Simmons we can’t cover or generate pressure. Not to be doomsday after week one but I agree with Todd, at some point you can only coach so much. players have to make plays. But what if you don’t have players that can make plays?

Fellas! It’s PS2uesday!! I’m pumped for DNVR that the team is growing rapidly and adding extreme talent as the years go on. I’m so invested in this Broncos team I feel like I suit up to play alongside PS2 and Russ each week, although there is no way I could lock up Tae for 2 catches for 11 yards with 3 passes defensed on 5 targets like the BEST IN THE LEAGUE!! Also…16 is my least favorite number (sorry Jason the Snaison).

For PS2: How do you evaluate your overall performance in shutting down one of the league’s top receivers in Week 1? Does the offense look and feel better than last year from the defense’s perspective, meaning, do you feel confident in their ability to move the ball effectively? And lastly, what advice did you give Damarri as he had a tough time in week 1, and was it more technique or scheme that you feel he struggled with?

Thanks for the always amazing coverage PS2 and DNVR! Go Broncos!

Hey guys, been loving the shows and you do not disappoint, unlike the team you cover. While people watching feel better as they get further from that game I’m honestly feeling worse. I usually coin myself as an optimist but my mile high glasses are wearing off. While I’ll leave my ranting under this part to save y’all time, I am losing confidence in this team. Give me one good reason for each side of the ball why I should keep the faith? Todd, would you rather want to have permission to tackle any QB the Broncos play this year as a fan? Or would you rather go back to 2017 with the knowledge you have now and play out the remainder of your career?

My biggest concern is the defense is playing anti-clutch still and it wasn’t like they were constantly on the field. The offense looked good but they were not good enough. While I still am a big supporter of Payton moving McManus out, I just hate that he picked up McManus 2.0 in Wil Lutz. I’ll probably be stuck in this phase until we can execute a good game on all sides of the ball and win handedly against a good team (sorry Commanders and Bears) but it will take them beating the Dolphins, Jets, Chiefs or any of the other games after that first Chiefs match up. And of course all the other players and teams that were supposed to be negatively impacted by moves we made or proving people wrong experience the opposite effect. It’s coming closer to my reality that we will be on the level of the 2000s Raiders and Bills coming up if this Jets crew (even without Rodgers) will be able to make the playoffs.

Here is my theory of who cost the Broncos the game yesterday. A Vic Fangio led defense would have been good enough to make the difference for the broncos to win. But he declined to come with Sean Payton and rejoin the Broncos because of harsh the local sports media was on him, especially Zac. So it was Zac who cost the Broncos the win yesterday.

Zac my guy…OPEN YOUR EYES!

You repeated over and over that the Broncos should have “tried” to throw it deep…yet the only true deep threat they had is a rookie in his first game! Do you really think The Visor would put Mims in that position?

As for the Drew Sanders talk, Hank and Todd are right in that the game plan kind of dictated the pass rush. (or lack thereof) And the coverage HAD to be better. Mathis is the weak link.

Also the reason Renfrow was a non factor was that Essang Bassey played an incredible game and has gotten no credit for it.

Name your top 3 favorite chips. They don’t need to be of the bagged snack variety. I’ll go first…

1. Chocolate Chips
2. ChampionChips
3. Chips on the shoulder
*honorable mention: Funyuns
