Hey fellas. I was just thinking, what happened to the talk about Kyle Trask? I don’t watch a lot of college football, but I remember at the beginning of the season there was all this hype around him saying he might be one of the top 3 QBs on the board, but now not so much. I just did a brief overlook on his stats and he finished with 43 tds and 8 ints, which I feel is not bad. Why is there not as much hype around him?
Not going to lie, it crossed my mind that if there is consensus that he might be a viable starter, we could pull almost the exact same game plan as the Fant/Risner/Lock draft and trade down into the second round, but get a 2022 1st instead. Then in the second round, get Trask as our “hedge” qb for this year, and still be in a position to move up and make a move next year if neither pan out looking very good. Thoughts?

Fellas, after bumming off you guys for a about a year I decided to join the family and what better day than bum talk Friday! You got me! You’ll be seeing more of me around.
For my first comment I just wanted to say I really appreciate the work you guys do! I look forward to the pod every day and love putting it on and doing something productive. In the last year I’ve bought a house and had a baby so my free time has converted to “productive time” and I love it! I’m really looking forward to hitting the bar and hopefully meeting you guys! First beer on me! Keep up the good work. You guys are doing something special for Colorado sports.
P.S. I love the movie The Waterboy! If you haven’t watched it then you should check it out – best football movie out there!

Gentleman – I have a bit of a nuanced question, who owns a club’s playbook? Does an incoming coach bring a big binder of plays and take it with them when they leave? Does the club have a playbook and a coach just edits it like a school paper? If coaches are bringing playbooks with them, then surely the same basic playbook would essentially exist everywhere. If everyone has essentially the same basic playbook, then would a coaches value be more like Ted Lasso in motivating players vs clever scheming? I appreciate your thoughts and thanks for taking the time.

Also, If you haven’t watched Ted Lasso, get on it and report back!

My Boys!
Just have to say this year has been full of ups and downs for me personally. Always great to have you guys in my daily life!
Now onto the question, what are your thoughts on trading 9 for a 2nd this year and first next year? And then riding with Lock and being set up to either get him two pieces next year or have the pieces to move up and get the QB.
Casper
Fellas,
How many receivers will be on the roster next year? Sutton, Jeudy, Patrick, Hamler, and Spencer should be the top 5 on the depth chart. Do you see them keeping 7 or making a decision between Hamilton and Cleveland during camp to keep 6?
Orange and Blue all over
I think we’re in unique situation this year. No glaring holes outside of cb which can be addressed in FA and more uncertainty in draft than normal lowering value of early round picks.
I am ALL in on running it back with Drew and trading this year’s draft for future picks.
Question i have is, how much is the maximum possible 2022 capital we could get from 2021 draft picks?
My dream scenario would be trade back to late 1st for a 2022 1st. Trade that late 1st and an additional pick for another 2022 1st. Could still get plenty of mid round picks and walk away having THREE 2022 1st round picks – enough to get Watson without mortgaging future, trade up to number 1 for top 2022 qb, or build great pieces around Drew. Better to trade past assets from before we aquire QB than future assets that will limit us under new QB if Lock doesn’t work out. If Lock does work out, can draft cost controlled roster to balance out his pay day.
Thoughts?

Why can’t we live in PFF’s Mock draft world. In this perfect world with their draft simulator I managed to trade the 9 overall to 49ers for their 2021-2023 1st-4th rounders, and then with the 12th pick I traded with the Washington Football team to 19 for their 2021-2023 1st-4th rounders, and then at pick 19 I drafted Patrick Surtain. If I had to guess this is exactly what is going to happen in a few short months. Think we would have enough picks to trade for Watson in this mock? On a separate note I think PFF might need to reevaluate their mock draft simulator trades. Happy Tuesday all and lets hope and pray this mock draft becomes reality

Forgot to mention, your guys next draft should be Breckenridge beers (you shouldn’t be able to draft the RK special as it would be taking multiple beers at once)

Hey guys,
I keep hearing these average hedge QB names being thrown around like Bridgewater. I’m at the stage where I’m questioning the point of that.
Personally, I think unless the Broncos can trade up to #2 or #3, or of course get Watson or Dak, they may as well stick with Lock.
Bridgewater might well lead the team to 8-8, 9-7. Progress, sure. But also pointless. We then find ourselves in 2022 with a mid-first round pick and scratching our heads yet again.
If we can’t go sexy, let’s stick with Lock. Worst that happens is he stinks and we go hard at the 2022 draft class.
Cheers

hey guys! so i know this is a bad take but i’m gonna say it anyway because it’s the offseason
so isaiah wilson of the titans tweeted (and then deleted) that he was ‘done with football as a titan’. the broncos might having a glaring need at RT this year depending on what happens with ju’wuan james.
are you going there if you’re the broncos- and relying on mike munchak and guys like glasgow, bolles and risner to help him get his stuff together- or is having one right tackle that isn’t 100% committed to football enough for the team? what do y’all think? ?
BRONCOS-SQUARED
My boys!
The Three Ring Circus was EXCEPTIONAL!
Question: I know the whole “delusional” excuse is out there, but why is Houston wanting to wait on trading Watson? Isn’t the opportune time to do these trades before the draft so they can acquire capital? The only reason I can wrap my head around why they are holding this up is to make the fans happy, which seems idiotic at this point.
Fruit-flavored Pop-Tarts are the best Pop-Tarts. Thanks, guys!

We don’t have higher draft picks or more draft picks then other teams #1
Also we aren’t going to lose like the Jets and panthers so the picks we give up won’t become high picks for the Texans …our only leverage is …
We have a ton of cap space as much as next year a LOT !! A WHOLE LOT !
and the young talent so with that said this is the max I’m willing to give up …..
3 1s rounders
3 2nd rounders
Noah fant
Drew lock
Dremont Jones
Phillip Lindsay
Tim Patrick
Graham glasgow
I’ve given them a defense weapon they can use the draft picks to get their qb and get other defensive pieces ….
Who can beat that offer if we give all that ? And are you guys doing this deal for Watson ?
Take it or leave it ?
Orange Crushing It
Ok, I may have found the trade that’s too much for Deshaun Watson:
The Texans offer Deshaun for 2 firsts and 2 seconds, BUT the Broncos have to agree to take Jack Easterby on a 5 year fully guaranteed contract as assistant GM and VP of Operations and a 10% ownership share goes to Cal McNair…… this would obviously never happen and I don’t think ownership can even be included in a trade, but in a hypothetical world what would you do if you were Elway and Paton?
JazzyBronco
Hope all is well guys and thanks for the content.
Talking about trading down and I have a buddy that is a Jags fan and loves Kyle Pitts. Is 9 for 25 and a first next year fair compensation and if so where do we think the Jags pick would land after the Jags land Trevor and Kyle Pitts under the new coaching staff

MY BOYS!
I hope I get this in on time. Just wanted to ask y’all if you watched the Avs game last night, because that was tough to watch. Marc-André Fleury had an unbelievable game. Also wanted to wish you guys a Terrific Tuesday!! Thanks for everything
Much love,

So Friday was *beeping* great you *beeping* legends. It had all the good stuff: A National TV personality making insensitive remarks about school shootings, Zac informing us he was patient zero for chlamydia at CSU following a rogue hair experiment and RK sharing his teenage self was the muse for “The Green Solution” – Colorado’s first pro shop / weed outlet.
Great stuff.
Love the position on QB where it’s big upgrade or Drew. All for it. Seems that’s how most of this community has been for a while. Albeit there’s something exciting about a top 10 Qb pick.
Outside of QB – who are the prized FAs to watch for the broncos this year?
