Never been a hockey fan in my life. Listening to you guys has opened my eyes to it. Cheering on the Avs for the remainder and maybe from here on out. Broncos are the Kings in Denver but definitely a sports town. #girlsbeforesquirrels

Hi Zac and RK,
I’ve been banking my portion of communal comment time for a while.
This is a concept in my own head to limit sharing drivel to an amount in proportion to my financial contribution to this community. I’m going to spend a month’s worth now with two quick items.
#1. I wanted to share that one of my sports attendance hall of fame moments was going to game 3 of the Stanley cup Finals in 2001 between Colorado and New Jersey. Colorado won the game 3-1 and the series 4-3. I was in NYC already so on the margin it only cost me the price of the ticket ($200) and bus fare. The game featured Ray Bourque’s final goal of his career, if that name means anything to you. It was awesome.
#2, I’m in London, England right now on vacation and honestly it sucks. To each their own, but for me the highlight of my day is finally resting my head on the pillow and listening to the daily pod. I’m sure if you guys come over for the game you’ll have an awesome time.
I guess I have passion for just one thing now.

? i’m regretting saying this now because I don’t want to offend anyone from England! I’m a bit jet-lagged still.

My boys,
Yes, drop bears are a myth. Us aussies love having fun with tourists and spreading the myth! Although Koalas seem cute, and some are, in zoos you can even have a cuddle, but in the wild they are nasty, chlamydia ridden, stinky creatures. And squirrels were introduced here over 100 years ago, but were wiped out by feral cats and native wildlife! Cheers and go Avs!

Hey Guys, I just wanted to say that Denver RivALZ is 4 Days away! I hope the Avs win in 5 so the DNVR fam are free to support on June 26th! With the Corpse Flower Blooming it Guarantees the Broncos will have a winning record. Last time it bloomed was 2016, after the Broncos won SB 50 and went 9-7 the following season. So I guess it means we will at least go 9-8 or better! Go Broncos and DNVR Fam, support Denver RivALZ!!

My boys! First off, I love how off the rails you fellas have gotten the last few days. It’s great content and gets me through the work day. Also, as a CBJ fan, just wanted to let you guys know, I’ve been pulling for the Avs throughout the playoffs – a lot of former Blue Jackets have gone through the Mile High City, including Jack Johnson, Ryan Murray, and my guy Matty Calvert. Hopefully you guys can bring home the Cup.
On the topic of squirrels, there are two major species of squirrels in the US – The Eastern Gray (which is smaller and gray in color), and the Fox Squirrel (larger and in reddish brown in color). The Fox Squirrels are typically more bold and will stand up to humans and bark at people.
Regarding the black and white squirrels, both species can appear black or white – but they are both rare cases. Whites are albino, which is a rare double-recessive trait. The black squirrels (Eastern Grey or Fox) have high melanism and are also exceedingly rare. Since the gene is double recessive, only squirrels with a black coat can produce offspring with black coats. This is why they only appear in certain areas (towns, campuses, a park, etc) – the groups are all related to each other.
Much love guys, looking forward to football season, and go Avs.

Over the years my boys and I have been listening to the pod — both BSN and DNVR — we never know when a classic will drop. What we’re referring to as the “squirrel episode” has now been listened to twice through. When at the end RK offers “heat” as the reason for the squirrel’s hostile behavior, and Zac immediately says “trying to mate with ya?” — we all lose it. Thank you for that.
