Hey Guys, now that we’re nearing the end of the first offseason under George Paton, what would you say are the biggest philosophical/cultural changes taking place within the organization, and what kind of identity do you believe George Paton will establish for this team. Thanks for all your hard work, and lastly….. LET’S GO OILERS!!!!!!

Hey guy’s
So about this Rodgers thing, would it be nice to have a player like that as our quarterback, well obviously. But i just dont like how he’s going about it, he still has an oath to fulfill in green bay. If he was unhappy with them why sign a contract. He could have easily went to any other team of his choice, no one forced him to sign on the dotted line. Ya know in the military if you breach your contract in any way ya know where you end up the Brig (jail).
Bottom line is, act like a man and fulfill the duty you said you were going to do.
Sorry for the rant, it’s just my biggest pet peeve is a guy not keeping his word. You can’t garnish any kind of respect nor have the ability to call yourself a man.

Random thought of the day:
What do to think about an owner or GM swapping 2nd round draft picks as a form of bet with a rival on who was going to have a better season?
The better you finish relative to your rival the better the swap becomes.
Am thinking mostly before the season started but would fun as week 18 bet if they were playing each other and had same record going in.
Would NFL allow this type of betting on yourself? If you were GM, would you take this bet with either the chargers or raiders this year?
NorthwoodsBronco
I was just thinking this the other day! Raiders seem like a team that would foolishly take this bet every year and lose.

I can’t believe Mase just reprimanded us for being excited for Bronco Football.
Andrew Mason
Nothing wrong with being excited, and I should have stated my sentiments better. It’s great when there’s something to be excited about. But a hype video from a glorified walk-through ain’t it. (That said, working for two different teams has made me VERY cynical of the processes the NFL uses to try and sustain interest over 12 months when they have just five months of regular-season and postseason product, compared with eight months for the NHL, seven months for the MLB — plus another month and a half of spring training — and eight months plus a month of summer league for the NBA. I feel like the NFL tries to force it too much to position itself as a 12-month entity.)

Fellas,
It seems to me that if if Denver sends a QB to Green Bay in a trade for Rodgers, they guy they send would indicate how they feel about Jordan Love. If they send Bridgewater they want Love to sit for a year or 2 then be ready. If they send Lock then they either are pulling the plug on Love or think he is ready for a competition.
How say you?
dbronc
That Albert Breer trade is no bueno. Isn’t the entire goal of trading for Aaron Rodgers to win the Super Bowl? Trading away Bradley Chubb is an absolutely terrible idea. You need to have a great pass rush to close out and win games in the playoffs. Who would the Broncos have behind Von and Malik Reid if one of them went down? How could we possibly replace Chubb with no cap space or first round draft picks for the next three years?

Fellas,
With Mase talking about the painstaking 2007 season, It made me wonder if covering the sport takes a little of the magic out? I love fishing, but working on a lobster boat can drain that excitement pretty quick, and was wondering if it is similar working in an industry like sports!
Cheers,
Northwoods
Andrew Mason
Absolutely. Once you see how the sausage is made, your fandom plummets. My Bucs affinity is nowhere in the same galaxy of where it was before, and having worked a dozen seasons covering the Broncos on their website, I know I’ll never be a fan of the team.

Hey Kings!
Before the season begins, I want to learn more in depth about football strategy and why offense and defense do certain things in certain situations. So, I’d like to do a little offseason series on football strategy.
So, first off, can you guys please explain 12 personnel formation and the advantages and disadvantages of the formation. Thanks!
Mike1809
Hey guys – yesterday’s conversation made me a litttttttle nervous. Even thinking about Rodgers going to Raiders makes me sick to my stomach. Hopefully, Green Bay still loves Jordan Love and think he needs just a little mentorship from Steady Teddy to get him on track. I’d be pissed if they want Carr and that becomes a deal-breaker for us.
I’m 100% aligned with the idea of doing whatever it takes to get Rodgers – sure it’s going to hurt. I’m OK with that. I am NOT ok with him landing on silver and black!
On another note…. Somebody on here asked about a DNVR fantasy league…. I’d love to join if one pops up this year. How can we sign up?
In the meantime… let’s go Avs!

What’s up guys,
It’s been a while since I last commented. However, with the recent video surfacing of Drew Lock’s pre-snap stance and footwork, I have a question. How much time do you think Drew Lock and Peyton Manning actually spent together in the off-season?
After seeing the clips of Drew Lock, I almost feel like he was in a Peyton Manning summer school. Peyton teaches Drew how to read defenses Monday through Thursday, and every Friday there’s a quiz! As much as I would like for that to be true, I know that’s probably not the case.
Prediction time! What is the ceiling for Drew Lock this season, Total yards and Touchdowns?
Keep up the awesome content guys, you are appreciated!

I’m of the belief that if the Packers are wanting a QB in any Rodgers trade then Teddy is the perfect guy for them. Cheap one-year deal for a veteran QB that can come in and be a safety net for Jordan Love. I do not think they would want a high-priced starting QB in the trade. Drafting Love is the main reason they are in this mess, so if they lose Rodgers a bit earlier than they wanted to because of it they had better be giving Love the reins. Take advantage of a cheap QB room with a rookie deal QB that you clearly wanted to be your future.

Can you please explain the adjustment process that happens when the “54 is the mike!” call gets disseminated to the o line? What happens once the mike is identified? Why is the mike so important? Also, I feel like I don’t recall this being a thing in the 80s and 90s or could we just not hear it?

Hey guys!
Who’s that one Packer that you just didn’t like for whatever reason, but would’ve been fantastic in Denver or Tampa?

I know Zac’s answer 😉

Is there a world where Packers and Texans swap disgruntled star QBs if Watson is cleared? Texas is further west than Green Bay and packers have a top 5 QB in his 20’s on an affordable contract. Maybe some draft picks would need to be thrown in. It hurts my soul to think this could happen if Rodgers waits out Watson’s investigation.
