BRONCOS-SQUARED
Happy Friday lads!
Since the NFL came down hard on the Raiders for breaking COVID protocols, do you think the NFL will ever get to the point where they punish players and teams that much for someone abusing their families or other people? Like a Tyreek Hill for example. Although, was he actually charged or found guilty for what he did?
Thanks, men!

Hey gents,
The Drew Lock gif that Mase mentioned making yesterday needs doing ASAP, so that when the broncos get our 4th win, the tweet to Nick Wright doesn’t even have any words, only a Drew Lock dancing gif. *Chef’s kiss*
If RK isn’t on, ignore this second part.
RK, I wanted to get your scenario specific song for the final time.
Game 7 in the World Series, 2 out, your teammate swipes one to deep left centre for a double as you’re in the on deck circle. What’s your walk up song as you step up to the plate knowing a base hit wins the World Series for your Rockies?
Have a great weekend guys

Aaaaand the DNVR community in Germany is +1!

So Mase questioned my sanity yesterday or inferred I live in a chemically induced haze.
Well *beep* me he was right.
Well, no, not quite. No he wasn’t.
The truth is that I have a young family and my work is both very demanding and very serious. I deal with difficult decisions and confronting outcomes most days, and that’s pretty normal. I love what I do, and I enjoy being good at it and giving myself to it – but there would be very few moments where I can emphatically bang the board room table with other senior bankers and yell 75!, though you may recall – I have done that.
DNVR and the Broncos are an escape for me. And I love that too. Colorado in general is an escape for me in fact. To hear you guys read out bizzare, very much on the spectrum comments about 6 toed cats driving rav 4s picking up minors covered in yeasty spread, is great and very enjoyable. So I enjoy throwing them in the mix.
A big thank you to all the regular commentators who give this place the sense of the community it does. And to the 6,000-7,000 people who listen and don’t subscribe…..You’re welcome.
Question: What sort of dances will do Drew Lock do after throwing touchdowns when he is 48 and playing on a bionic leg? (I.e how will he dance when he is an old QB).
Butch Cassidy
Can Drew Lock win a shoot out?
Yes he can! I’d take the over on this game. But the score will not be the most shocking thing on this weeks addition of 58 yard field goals!
No the most shocking thing will be the three forced fumbles the Denver D creates two of them belonging to Kareem Jackson. All recovered by Denver. All in the second half.
A gypsy woman told me so.
What about you?

To each host present: What is your personal estimate, updated after the Chargers game, of the percentage chance that Drew Lock becomes a franchise QB for the Broncos?
Also Zac, you are lucky that Drew Lock didn’t shout, “MUTED!!”, when it took you 5 seconds to respond when called upon at his recent Zoom conference. ?
Thanks for the awesome coverage,

I’m just curious and maybe you guys can’t answer this, but based off Drew Locks numbers now what do you think he ends up with by seasons end? 927 Passing Yards, 4 TDs and 5 int’s currently.

Mase, I expected more from a fellow nerd of things. Actually, plate armor allowed for great mobility and nimbleness, and since one wouldn’t need to wear full plate and wouldn’t need chainmail in a football game, quarterbacks could easily throw, receivers could easily catch, and runningbacks could easily cut. The big problem would be vision. Vision is next to minimal in medieval armor because the only thing that matters is your current opponent who is right in front of you. This would make for a run heavy game, but misdirections would be incredibly hard to react to on the defensive end. If you need an example of what a person moving in even heavier armor than this and running at full speed would look like, the first 15 or so seconds of this video are exactly what you should base it on. The weight and mobility of medieval armor is much better than most assume. I agree, though. AJ Johnson would love this stuff.
Now, my Broncos question. Do you think it’s AT ALL important that the Falcons and 2-1 against teams whose combined record is 8-14 (.363) and the Broncos 3-1 is against 13-19 (.406) competition? I mean, I definitely don’t get the same vibes from Chiefs, Patriots, Chargers, and Jets as I get from Panthers, Lions, and Vikings. Competition matters. They have the 4th worst scoring defense in the league right now. In my mind this is an easy W for Denver on paper.
Sorry for the long comment but at least the name is short now, right?

I’m back after watching The Turning Point video from the Chargers game.
Matt complimented Cushionberry about his play on Phil’s touchdown run. Does Cushionberry have much to do with calling out defenses to help Drew read them correctly? If so, how is Cushionberry doing in that part of his game?
Thanks, guys.

Fellas,
This week I’ve been feeling great and in such better mood all because the Broncos beat the Chargers in an epic come from behind win. So when I’m like this I can’t help but see nothing but great times ahead for the Broncos. So on this feel Good Friday I will make a prediction that the Broncos will finish the season 10-6 with the only losses coming from KC and New Orleans. With that being said, if they lose I will mope around the house all week and predict they will never win another game. I don’t know about you guys, but my life would be so much easier if I wasn’t emotionally attached to sports.

MY BOYS! The last time the Broncos wore blue jerseys in Atlanta, John Elway and Mike Shanahan defeated Dan Reeves’ Falcons 29 to 21 in Week 5 of the 1997 season. Here’s to a similar result on Sunday absent the Broncos losing Brandon McManus to a hip flexor injury like Denver did with Jason Elam in that ’97 game. It’s time for another fill in the blank Friday. The Broncos defeat the Falcons on Sunday if, (1)___, (2)___, and (3)____ come to fruition. Here’s to a victory with no recounts for the Broncos in Georgia. Have a wonderful weekend! DNVRMY SALUTE!

Speaking of the pop tarts discussions, I started listening right as you guys were having this debate but didn’t subscribe yet.
Now that I can comment, let’s clear the air. S’mores poptarts are decently good, but not even top 5. Hot fudge sundae was treated as the holy grail in my family and with most friends I talked to in middle/high school so it was a little bit of culture shock not to hear you guys heap praise on them, let alone for them not to come up much in your guys’ discussions as far as I remember.
Anyway, I had to speak up for hot fudge sundae pop tarts.
PS, even at home for Atlanta, a line of -4 for the Falcons is disrespectful, that line shouldn’t be more than -2.

No broncos related question here, but RK, I tried to point out to I tried to point out toZac and Mase on the pod the other day that I heard you say that you like your QBs to have a “little A-hole…”…. they glossed right over the joke….. also, you did when you said it… that was gold, and I couldn’t have been the only listener to have heard it. I thought it was one of the most blatant, “Thats what she said” remarks made on the pod since Zac went to a country where the cats swarmed his meat! Anyway, thanks as always. Love this community!

Wow, this was horribly written and not articulate at all. I typed it really fast trying to beat the buzzer…. I hope it makes sense. If not, I’ll just crawl into a hole and go back to my role as a silent subscriber.
