A little Tuesday Trivia and perspective for the family;
We have 3 Super Bowl wins in the last 25 years. Only one other team has more than two in that time. 12 teams have never won a Super Bowl. Two lost it four times without winning. Another team lost three times without winning. Four teams have never been to the Super Bowl. One hasn’t won a playoff game since 1957. Eight NFL cities have seen their teams leave. Can you name the teams?
Be thankful Broncos country. Despite the frustrations, we have a team and they have another chance to get better on Thursday. Don’t punish this group for the past regime’s performance. Give them a fair shot(hint: 4 games is not a fair shot). Success in “this league” happens in a lot of different ways and at different times. We’ll get there.
All the best family. Allie for MVP. Cheers

Hola amigos!
Quick question…
I just got married and am bringing my new father in law to the game. He’s never been to an NFL game before, so I wanted to bring him to the tailgate party as a treat. He’s a die hard Indy fan. We love football. He just bleeds blue and white instead of blue and orange… can I count on Broncos country to show him a good time at the best tailgate around?
Catch me if you can! – Flumunda

Sorry for a second comment…
Can anyone tell me why we haven’t signed Ndamukong Suh?… especially if we’ve lost RB power. Why not flex on defense?

Hey guys, please help talk me off the cliff here. I currently have plans to go to the Sofi game and then come to Denver for the Jets game. I haven’t booked the game tickets yet, but have everything else. At this point I am strongly considering canceling though. Would be real excited to meet you all and hang out at the bar, but this is already feeling like another lost season! Losing Javonte just makes me feel sick, and I can’t stand Melvin Gordon! It’s so painful for me to constantly watch him destroy the chances of this team I love so much! This is why my only offseason wish list after getting Russ was just to not have Gordon resigned! I truly believe if he wasn’t signed, our Broncos would be 4-0! He has fumbled 5 times in his last 44 touches! That’s a fumble every 8.8 touches! Rewatching these games it doesn’t even appear that the defenses are putting effort into stripping the ball from him. It just turns into a pinball in his arms when he is hit. Drives me crazy! So what do you think should I save the money and hope we actually are competitive next year, or come anyway?
MelbourneBronco
Come anyway, you’ll feel worse if the team turn it around and you missed it!

My boys,
I’m starting to feel a little better, does the 49ers win over the Rams elevate the 49ers to genuine contenders? Which makes us capable of matching it with the NFC best!
While Denvers best might not have arrived yet, there is hope, but, we’re still a long way off pushing the Bills and Chiefs! My head is spinning, one day the depths of despair, the next……HOPE. Cheers

Hi guys,
One more quick question.
Do you think the quick turnaround will benefit the offense? They were in form in the last quarter, hopefully they start thursday night in that form.

Hi boys,
To follow up my comment regarding cutting Mel, that was before the Javonte announcement. I will fully support and root for him as a part of this team and agree with RK that this could be the exact opportunity he needs to get his mind right. Remember the Jets game in 2020? Melvin put it away for us!
My question for today: did the Broncos think Billy Turner would be ready before week 5/6 when they signed him? For a one year replacement, I’m beginning to seriously question the signing. I know Fleming has played better than we thought he might, but RT is still a clear issue.
PS, I found an amazing restaurant here in Nash that has Colorado style Mexican food! It’s not Tex Mex or traditional Mexican, sort of a blend of both (with good Green Chile) that just reminds me of Coloradan Mexican food. Hopefully you guys will get a chance to try it when you come out here.

Good day fellas!
This O-line just doesn’t seem like they have it. The raiders d-line won the war in the trenches and we struggled to establish a consistent run game. We can’t ask Russ to cook with this O-line. You do that and the only thing getting cooked is Russ himself.
I have only been able to catch this game and the Seahawks game so far this season, having an 4 month old definitely cuts into the football watching time lol. But to me the O-Line and receiver depth are the weak points of this team. Some of that is due to injuries to the receiving core (Man we miss Tim Patrick), but the O-Line just looks bad. Miscommunication, guys getting beat and holding penalties. This team does not appear to have championship depth and honestly with the injuries continuing to pile up, especially to key players idk if this is a playoff team this year. I know that’s a negative take but the injuries and O-line just have me concerned. Feeling a 8-9 win season. Maybe that’s enough for a Wild Card spot with the way the whole AFC looks at this point, but idk.
This team needs to learn how to be a winning football team, and that takes some time. Love you guys and keep up the amazing work!

I appreciate all your coverage and work. I live in San Diego so I have first hand experience of Gordon. All 5 Charger fans down here didn’t call him a “good running back”. Where else in life can you make this many mistakes, apologize and do the same thing again and be forgiven. This is just like a cheating spouse. Never liked the Gordon signing. Season is not over yet.

Hey guys!
Devastating loss on all accounts. I mentioned last week that Josh Jacob’s becomes the best running back in the league when he plays the broncos and it still turned out to be true. I see people mainly blaming Gordon for the lost while he did have a hand in the lost. The team responded after the fumble and tied the game . So I don’t think you can mainly blame the Gordon. The real reason we lost was because Nathaniel Hackett play-calling was terrible. 4 games into the season and Wilson is 17th in passing attempts. This is with the broncos playing behind in all games. Hackett has held the broncos back in all 4 games and he needs to figure this shit out. Sean Payton with Wilson could be a nasty duo

Hey Guys,
Been listening to the pod for almost 5 years! but this is my first time commenting.
First off I wanna thank you all for what you do, it truly is something remarkable, and not a lot of other fanbases get to have the kind of quality coverage that we do thanks to you. It really gets me through each and every day.
Secondly, I’ve never been one to press the panic button and I’m still not there yet, but I am concerned with the identity/ creativity of our offense under Hackett. I think we need to either come up with a solution to our PA/ boot game quick, or even try and work more spread, getting Russ more passing attempts and possibly some more work outside the numbers. I’m afraid our run game is going to be a huge issue and with Jevonte out for the foreseeable future, we could use Melvin Gordon as more of a pass Protector in spread looks if we cant get the run to set up PA. I feel like its ALMOST time for a plan B, I know its not Hackett’s offense necessarily but when I look at teams like Buffalo or KC, even the Rams, It makes me wonder why we cant have the same with Wilson. Off course better O-line play helps everything, but I guess we have to plug leaks as we find them and adapt to our play style to injuries as they come.
Sorry for the long comment, keep the good work guys… yall rock.

Re-watching the game showed there was a lot of positive. Great to see improvement on offense. There was not a lot of tape of the Raiders running the ball so I think we were caught flat-footed. Need to adjust faster.
How about Jewell gets cause a fumble to the tune of Who Let the Dogs Out: “Jewell knocked the ball out Jewell, Jewell, Jewell.
Or whenever Jewell makes a good play the crowd can sing in unison just the chorus line from Who will save your souls? by Jewell.
That said, here is a KU for U:

Do we know why they completely went away from Sutton? Four catches in the first quarter, only 1 after – was it defensive adjustments, or something else? Also only 25 pass attempts for a game you lose by two scores just seems destructively conservative.
