Ryan,
All I got to say is I love the kyle Pitts take I 100 percent agree with it. We can just play bully ball with everyone with 2 tight end sets and Albert as relief for those guys and Sutton can bully people as well then use jeudy and hamler weapons when everyone is beat the hell up.
Not gonna lie I’ve wanted this for awhile now

Hey fellas,
Continuing with the Staley talk- Herbert was an academic All-American at Oregon while starting as their QB. Academic All-American in Biology at Oregon means you are very smart and work very hard. The same tools you need to learn an NFL offense. He did this last year by grasping the offense quickly in his rookie season. It doesn’t matter who their coach is he has the talent, skills, and intelligence to do whatever he needs to do with who ever he needs to do it with.
All this to say; if we are gonna be competitive Herbert is the standard. Mahomes isn’t a fair comparison but it is not unrealistic to want to find a guy like Herbert and not settle for less.

Best athlete of all time ?
Serena williams made 94 million $ playing tennis – most all time by a woman by more than double and fourth all time behind only nadal/Federer/djokovic and they played for bigger purses. Her winning percentage is higher than all those men – 843-147 (85.2%) to go along with 73 titles (23 grand slams). And she plays an individual sport, with no supporting cast to give credit to. With the exception of a Gretzky and Maybe Jordan and Ali, she has to be in the conversation for the GOAT. Oh yeah, and four Olympic golds.

Whats up guys!
I wanted to run a hypothetical passed you guys. You are the GM of the Denver Broncos. You were signed to the same 6 year contract as Paton. Within 3 years you have the goal to get to the super bowl. You want to build this roster that you can be competitions for division titles for the next 3 years. How are you going to do it?
Key points to hit on:
1. Identify the needs of the team and determining who you would cut and resign (on the current roster).
2. Determining the QB of the future. You can make any deal, just remember this is cannot be a bandaid.
3. Do you keep the same coaching staff or let them go? What you do this year if you were GM?
I have been thinking about this and what I would do… but really want to see where you guys think the true weaknesses are of this team holding them back to be a playoff contender year in and year out.
Thanks for all the hard work you guys do! You are literally the best in the business.

Fellas,
If Drew Lock is starting for the Broncos in 2021 I feel like all this trade talk is going to hurt him. A lot of Bronco fans will have gotten used to the thought of Watson, Stafford, or Rodgers under center and then seeing Lock back will have them feeling disappointed. It won’t be fair to Drew but human nature is what it is. This will make the expectations for Drew among the fanbase grow for next year to a point that he may not be able to reach. I feel he will now be compared to top 10 QB’s and the fans will not be happy with him unless he can show that he is that.
How say you?

Howdy gents,
Listening to you talk about Pitts as a BPA type of draft. Would you rather Pitts or Fant? Is there a situation that you see Pitts selected at 9 and fant shopped? What value would he bring back?
Thanks for the pod as always!

The 9th pick for Stafford is too high for me. He’s an upgrade and would help us get back to the playoffs, but I haven’t seen enough to think he’s a championship winning QB. I might consider if we trade back and were giving up a late 1st, but that trade would happen during the draft. No one moves up unless it’s the #1 or #2 pick before the draft. Stafford trade probably happens in the next 2-3 weeks. Watson trade won’t be till after the Super Bowl and Bienemy gets his interview and then we see if Watson demands the trade. That should be about the right timing, you think?
Any rumours that George Paton and Justin Simmon’s agent’s having any discussions? I think if we were to resign one player first, it would be Justin.

MY BOYS!
I hope y’all are doing well. I just got my DNVR hoodie in the mail and I love it! Now I have a short question for you guys. I know that the Broncos getting Kyle Pitts is an unlikely and unconventional situation, but it got me thinking. Say we trade for Matthew Stafford with a couple 2nd round picks, and pick up Kyle Pitts with the 9th pick. We get Sutton back, Jeudy continues progressing and turns into a star, K.J. is a solid number three receiver, we have THREE weapons at tight ends, a solid offensive line, and not a lot changes on defense. I personally think if we have a better offense, that will subsequently make our defense better because it is less time on the field for them. But what do you guys think our record is in that situation? Sorry I know it’s a bit detailed but I love going over fantasies like this in my head. Thanks for everything!
Much love,
Sebastian

Boys! It was a long season. Here are five offseason priorities I’d like to see Paton complete, please state your opinion in the pod.
– PAY JUSTIN SIMMONS!!!
– Try to establish the quarterback position; whether that be Lock or a replacement (Stafford/Watson), I feel the team would have more confidence with stability at the position
– Pay Shelby Harris, he is a huge part of this defense
-In one way or another, establish the MLB positions also. As you’ve been speaking on the past couple weeks, drafting a linebacker could be a good move. However I wouldn’t mind bringing AJ Johnson back for the right price
– Lastly… just bring the team back to contention. To quote George Paton, this team is a “sleeping giant”.
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m ready for next season already. Have a great week, go Broncos!

Hey guys. Love the pod. Listen daily, rarely comment. Since Elway is semi-retired now, let’s assess. What are Elway’s top 5 hits as a GM? What are Elway’s top 5 misses as a GM?

Fellas,
Life has been crazy and long time no comment but have listened everyday.
Need your odds on a purposal I was debating with a co worker.
If you can get stafford for drew and a second get him. Then if you could trade the Lions a 2022 1st and second for their 1st this year then you can offer the texans a stable qb, picks 7 and 9 and whatever 1 or two other players they wanted.
Think its possible? We can get Watson for: Drew, 2 firsts, 2 seconds and a player or 2.

So I’m a little confused wanted you guys opinion
Is denver’s roster really this bad that we aren’t ranked as a to team to land stafford …. Do the colts have a more talented roster then us when we are healthy?
I just feel other then the 49ers ? It’s a no brainier Denver is the best sit for stafford
And no shade to Drew but if stafford comes here it isn’t an indictment on drew it’s saying Drew you need more time let us have this 2 year rental and develop you and you will be the guys maybe sooner if stafford gets hurt as he has often lately Drew isn’t Brock osweiler he has to know he hasn’t played well enough to be the starter drew would have to beat out stafford idk why we have to walk away from drew ?
My dream scenario is get. Stafford as a 2 year rental give up a 2nd and 1st next year and they give us back a conditional 2/3rd next year why is that not feasible curious how you guys look at it ?
One last thing I want stafford here so much to confirm what we’ve seen at broncoscountry ….can courtland hit a Megatron ceiling without the Megatron speed ? Who wouldn’t be better to determine that other then Megatron’s former Qb hmmmm lol

MY BOYS! In its “Policy of Truth Song,” Depeche Mode powerfully delivers us these lyrics:
Now you’re standing there tongue-tied
You’d better learn your lesson well
Hide what you have to hide
And tell what you have to tell.
As of today, it’s now your time to “tell what you have to tell” as to what each of you want the Broncos to do at quarterback this offseason, what they will ultimately decide to do at quarterback, and what the cost will be to accomplish that result. Have a wonderful Wednesday. DNVRMY SALUTE!

Think Mike Remmers is having PTSD heading into the Super Bowl!? He got absolutely owned by the Super Bowl 50 MVP and now he gets to face his little clone. Hahaha good luck dude! Yikes. Don’t sleep on the Bucs D keeping them in the game.
And fellas I just watched some Stafford highlights and dude is legit. He was single handedly making the Lions competitive in games they had no business being in. Not his fault he played for one of the worst organizations in football. His best running back for years was Theo Riddick and his defense has been trash. Stafford on the Broncos is very intriguing.

Gentleman – I am new to the pod and a new subscriber, but already obsessed. Definitely the best Broncos podcast around. I am so nervous that Denver will trade for Stafford, I think that will send us to mediocre purgatory of 8-8 for years to come. He is not going to raise all ships, and will just be an average QB. The idea of it reminds me of the Mike Shanahan days post John Elway, occasionally decent but never going anywhere. I have been watching Denver for nearly 30 years, and still have not seen us draft and develop a long term starter. I am desperate for a home grown long term solution that would let us be competitive year in and year out. Taking Watson off the table, what would you all do – Trade for Stafford? Take a QB in the 1st Round? Roll it back with Lock? Blow it all up and sign a striker from the English Premier League?
