For whichever you decide, I challenge that you go beyond saying something like “beer” or “hot sauce”… get specific ex// “strawberry sky” or “cholula”

so in the past, these joint practices have been a pretty accurate barometer of where the broncos were relative to their competition. in 2019, the 49ers came in and stomped over the broncos that first day. the broncos kinda fought back that second day, but it was obvious that the 49ers were the better team- which came out in the wash because they ended up playing in the superbowl.

last year, the broncos and vikings both looked evenly matched in the joint practices for the most part- which at the time we thought meant that the broncos were a good team because the vikings were seen as a borderline playoff contender, but in reality both the vikings and broncos were mediocre and needed a change up on their coaching staffs.

with all that in mind, what did y’all gather from the way the broncos performed against the cowboys? maybe we’re all overhyping the cowboys and they might just be an 8-9/9-8 team this year, but it’s gotta be encouraging that the broncos handled their business either way, right?

Perna recently had Derek Wolfe on his pod and I would encourage everyone to give it a listen!

It revealed some interesting things from the past few years that I think explain some of the fire we’re seeing come from the Defense. We’ve known that Vic was an old-school coach, but some of the things Derek said made me realize just how severely he limited this roster in terms of on-field player expression. I won’t spoil the specifics, but I think some of the guys (Simmons, Chubb specifically) are finally being allowed to be themselves and I LOVE IT. You guys have been talking about who brings the Dog to this team, and I think we’re gonna find out it’s always been there, the guys just weren’t “allowed” to show it.

I am from Gloucestershire too, and to hear Hank name some of the towns I’ve lived in, did make me laugh. Alas, he needs a little work on his pronunciation, lol..

Those names sound stupid to you, Hank? That’s weird, ’cause almost every English Town has a counterpart in the US, especially on the east coast. Albeit sometimes with a ‘new’ in front of it, and you seem to pronounce all the letters, like Birmingham, where we dont say the H, how you say it sounds so weird to us. Anyhow, either Pilgrims had zero imagination in settlement naming, or they clearly missed the motherland and didn’t want to leave. Lack of creativity, or running from the law. You decide.

If you had to compete in a one on one drill against any current bronco player, who would you choose, in what drill and would you win the rep?
My favourite drinking game growing up was called Mickey. All you need are dice. The aim is to roll a two and a one, or doubles. If you roll doubles, say double 5, You get to allocate that number of drinks to any player. If you roll a two and a one (21), you get to make a rule, which when broken you had to finish the rest of your cup/can/bottle in your hand. Rules like, no first names, you can only drink with your non dominant hand etc.
There is no winner, though there usually is a loser, as someone inevitably gets picked on and ends up sloshed!
