My Peoples!
Sitting here the last two pods and seeing the “Comments closed” as I try to comment. I was so confused, That was until I figured out I was logged out of my account.
I just wanted to say Mase cracks me up when he does an AD read.
Mase “Sit down, cozy up. Let me tell you about Gabi insurance and how they once saved me. No not while I was climbing Everest, but while I was searching for car insurance!”
Of course i know he hasn’t actually gone to those lengths but when Mase reads an AD, they get their moneys worth!
The Big T
I think he’s on commission, personally
Casper
Fellas,
If Rodgers is traded to Denver, do you see any friction between him and Shurmur? Is this a case where the front office tells Pat that if he wants to keep his job that he better keep the shiny new toy happy?
How say you?
dsrodish
Not ready for all these toxic fans to shit on Juwan James for an Achilles tear like he can control that
dsrodish
Oh god it’s been five minutes and it’s already so toxic. Going to need a lot of that special forget juice. I recommend coconut Malibu and Tropicana piña colada with ice in a blender. 10/10 will have you zooted with zero alcohol taste.

Has juwan james retired yet?
The Danimal
He’s currently spotted heading down colfax towards the social security office on one of those electric scooters he stole from Walmart!
The Danimal
Well it’s over everyone, the James saga has come to an end in the most Ju’wan fashion imagineable…..he crapped on an entire season.Praise be to Baby Jesus, Allah, Vishnu, the Flying Spaghetti Monster or whomever you pray to…it’s over.
The downside is this highlights my SINGLE complaint about Paton’s draft, taking a third round interior lineman. Don’t get me wrong I think we found a special talent but we have both talent and depth on the interior and a developmental backup to the inevitable “Ju’wan gonna do Ju’wan” was a glaring need that just became a dire need. Better hope Villanueva hasn’t signed with Baltimore yet or Paton may see some downgrades to his draft grade. We all honestly knew this would happen at some point this season.
Take care,
Danimal

I have been very anti Juwaan James ever since he signed here. I feel he has basically stolen a paycheck from us up to this point, but with that being said, I feel conflicted about not paying him after he injured himself working out offsite. Would it be scummy of the Broncos to not pay him? Also, do you know if he was working out at Loren Landow’s facility in Denver when the injury occurred?
George Paton needs to be bring in Rick Wagner ASAP!
Orange and Blue all over
I seem to be in minority on Broncos twitter but i feel VERY strongly that broncos should honor the guarantee money for James.
He was working out for season like many other on team – not doing something dangerous or dumb. Screwing him over undoes goodwill Paton has been building. Need to accept it was horrid contract and signing but honor the guarantees and cut your losses.
Where do you guys fall?
Mike1809
Oh boy here we go… Who are the most likely replacements for James? Are we saddling up for another year of Dotson? Could Calvin Anderson slot in? I heard Chicago just cut a tackle – is he a possibility? Is there a time-machine where we can go back and draft a big hoss for that spot?
The one thing I don’t want to see is Risner switched to RT. I think he was a big part of Bolles success last year and don’t want get anywhere close to disrupting the chemistry that’s been developing there for the past few seasons.
On a totally different topic… I’m PUMPED about the Williams pick-up in the second. I’ve said it before but having a difference maker at RB is such a massive competitive advantage. I understand that RB is seen to have very little positional value, but don’t understand the logic. Why is it such a consensus that RBs have low positional value? Guys like Cook, Kamara, Henry, C-Mac, etc… are such a massive advantage for their teams – I guess I just don’t understand the rationale behind this commonly understood principle about RB value.
BRONCOS-SQUARED
I was watching some highlights of the newly drafted Broncos last night. Highlights only, I know. But I hope you guys see some matchups between Caden Sterns VS. Seth Williams during training camp. Those dudes can seriously jump, and I’m hyped for Caden Sterns!

Guys we have to make a Rodgers trade happen. Go ALL IN!! If we get five years from him we would be eating into five years of Mahome’s prime going toe-to-toe with KC. And we are a better team than them in 2021 if we have Rodgers do you agree? I’ve decided I am going to get my hopes up and pretend it is a done deal. It will help me enjoy the next 4 weeks. I’ll deal with the pain later if it doesn’t happen.
Kendall Hinton, Hall of Famer
It’s been a while, been busy, sorry for the long one.
Zac said on Twitter it’s impossible for the Broncos to get the right tackle situation right which seemed kind of puzzling to me. It’s only impossible if the Broncos haven’t had the chance to bring in tackles in free agency or draft them. But those are both things they’ve had the opportunity to do, Paton made the decision to not draft any tackles this draft. We easily could have traded up, back or whatever we needed to grab a tackle. We traded up for a running back (the position more people than normal say NOT to trade up for) after cutting a running back so obviously trading up for a tackle in whatever round is and was a reasonable option. It’s not impossible when Elway and Paton’s choices have largely informed how the situation has played out in addition to injury misfortune. No hard feelings Zac.
I think some fans and a lot of Broncos twitter needs to cool it with vitriol towards Paton though. The flip side is that if the right tackle position and QB position continue to be weaknesses on the roster or don’t seem like they’ll have long term solutions next year, especially the QB position, then it’ll be appropriate to rip Paton for an almost willfully misguided draft regardless of how Surtain pans out and question if Paton’s time should end before his contract is up (which people are already saying way too early, Twitter is a cesspool)
Paton’s definitely causing some concern, but if we get Rodgers or Lock works out, the concerns of most fans when it comes to how Paton handled these positions will be moot. Of course, with Lock’s underwhelming year (to put it very kindly) I don’t think anyone could or should trust that he is a long-term solution unless he has a MVP-type season. If he has a good season this year, it’ll look promising that he could be a viable QB for the next few years, but there’ll still be uneasiness and worry that I think is justified.
dan birk
hey guys
not going to pile on ju’wuan. wishing him the best in his recovery
some options that are intriguing;
rick wagner. was the starting RT for one of the best offensive lines in the league last year. and that offensive line blocked for the league MVP. chess not checkers.
mitchell schwartz- his back issues would have to be vetted but we all know how good he is when he’s healthy. was also drafted by the browns when shurmur was the HC and they seem to have a good relationship still
dan birk
double commenting but I wanted to add that it was funny seeing mahomes on his high horse when it was reported the broncos could move on from james. your own team cut eric fisher after he tore his achilles. he should sit this one out lol
Wade Myers
Man this is the draft of hindsight now, QB along with a glaring issue at RT and just tackle depth and passing on Telvin over a RB….
So my question, not hating JJ but is this the worst free agent contract in Broncos history. I’m not remembering a worse move since 95.
Russway Johnson
In the late 80s, it was better than now. We had Elway to watch. Playoffs to watch. Hope was always alive. The Drive was amazing! The past five years have been entirely hopeless very early in each season. Boring offense. Mind boggling coaching decisions. Hapless recruiting. The Broncos are irrelevant in the NFL. Irrelevant in the AFC West. Also, the AFC always lost the SB back then.
MAYBEtheDINGOateYOURbaby
I’d like to formally apologize to the rest of the fam for suggesting Aldon Smith come back. That’s my bad.
Who’s left at tackle to sign now that juwan james is gonna get cut and Denver is about to recoup money he never earned
PigTosser66
Guys if it’s true that Aaron Rodgers has been spotted this week cruising around Denver let’s find a way to get him to the DNVR Bar. Get him a couple of RK Specials and let the DNVR Fam close the deal with him on making Denver his ONLY preferred destination. Let’s GOOOOOO
MavBronco
Howdy Gents,
With James again proving to be unreliable, any buzz on replacement plan yet? Would you rather Risner slide over, Calvin, or a free agent like Schwartz?
Thanks for the pod as always
DLHC
Hey guys! Who says no in this mock trade and would you accept and if not if not what made it to much?
Packers receive: 2 firsts, 2 seconds, jerry jeudy, Bradley chubb, Noah fant , Patrick surtain
Broncos receive: Aaron Rodgers, davontae adams
The Big T
Everyone! ……and I am still annoyed at you for dumping me out of the Madden Playoffs, so giving you heat here instead 🙂
The Big T
People are cruel, sadly
The Big T
Broncos should do the right thing and pay him his guarantees. It’s the right thing to do.
Auszee
Wow. Give me Adams
Race City Bronco
Ok guys, as much fun as it would be to imagine Aaron Rodgers on this team, I just don’t understand the financial aspects of how it would work. Rodgers has zero leverage against the Packers. According to a report by ESPN, if he retired Aaron would owe the Packers $30 million from bonus money that’s already been paid out.. and I doubt Green Bay would waive that like Indy did for Andrew Luck. Not with how messy this has become. I know some people say that’s chump change for Aaron, but that’s a lot of money! Where’s the incentive for Green Bay to trade away the MVP and their shot at a Super Bowl this season?

Mase talked about the 2013 Broncos and Champ bailey. He’s one of my all time favorite Broncos…. If that team wasn’t decimated by injuries all year an they won the superbowl even though 2012 was 100% the best manning led team (f-rahim) would the trophy be handed to Champ with a THIS ONE’S FOR CHAMP DEDICATION?
TrueChampFan24
Champ never winning a SB is one of those sports tragedies if you ask me..
Not bias towards Champ or anything…

Mase, you said Rodgers was a HoF. I agree..
You also anointed Mahomes a HoF. He’s played 46 regular season games. When did you think he qualified, and is he the player with the fewest games played, to receive the Mase HoF accolade? I’m curious is all. Russell Wilson perhaps? Andrew Luck?
Lastly, watching Zac slam the brakes, dip the clutch, pull his handbrake up, violently turn the wheel, spin 180 and wheelspin back from whence he came, is hilarious to us, but why have none of you given him a massive amount of stick for his complete U-Turn on Discount Double Check!? You better be hassling him privately, or we’ll have to do it ?
Just messin’ with you Zac, we all understand, and love ya dude
Peace out fellas

What’s up fellas! My question for you is regarding the JuWuan James situation. Do you think if it was a player that seemed to give his all to the team and actually play they would be more inclined to pay him the money he’s going to potentially lose? I.E if this was Von they would pay it but since James was such a flop they won’t? Fair or not I think this is the case
