my apologies, in listening to the pod i realized the mistake. I meant to put Tyrie Cleveland at 7 in place of DaeSean Hamilton for the second time, not sure why I made that mistake

Hey guys I don’t have much to add to your free agency talks, as always, you are my first stop for Broncos news!
Today I want to give a big congratulations to our own Wyo-Bronco, who has finally asked the love of his life to marry him! (She said yes) as his best friend, I’m hoping we can get him a big DNVR salute as I think it will be a highlight to his day!
The Great BroncHolio
Hey guys just wondering how you felt about Eric Stokes out of Georgia, I’m not sure how he would fit in Fangio’s scheme and he has some issues in the open field and solo tackling but the guy ran a 4.25 40, if he has the potential to keep up with Tyreek Hill step for step is he worth taking and where do you think he will go? Love the input you guys have on these.
Go Broncos and Long Live DNVR!

I’m going to assume that this comment is read after your opening segment explains how amazing Mike Boone is. How when Lindsay leaves Denver to light up the field for some other team, we will have quietly upgraded the position.
Otherwise I’d probably be mighty perturbed by the time I’m hearing you read this…

Fellas,
Any updates on how the rehabs are going for Bassey and Albert O? Also do you see Austin Fort getting a chance to make the team as a #3?
Schweed
Hey kings,
Not a Broncos related question, but do you know of any news about the Washington Football Team changing their name? I personally am a fan of the name right now and think it would be cool if they kept it. Thoughts?

Running backs, the worlds most replaceable position. Of running backs drafted prior to 2016 there’s only one who remains on the team who drafted them, Mase can you name him?
dan birk
hey guys!
so i wanted to compare the stats of two different players that play the same position, real quick. i’m specifically talking about the first two years of their career where;
player A caught 38 passes for 415 yards and 5 TDs
player B caught 102 passes for 1235 yards and 6 TDs
player B is obviously more productive right? player A is jonnu smith who just signed a 4 year, 50m deal with the patriots. player B is noah fant.
now, fant was a first round pick and jonnu smith wasn’t, so it stands to reason that fant would be a bigger feature of the broncos offense and therefore have more opportunities to be productive, but it’s not a reach to say that fant deserves to get paid more than smith. the question is would y’all be willing to pay at least $13m/year for fant when that time comes?
larrydennjr
Trust and believe noah is going to break out I’m not excited about it lol …. He’s going to be expensive

I really can’t believe that a pro bowl running back an team leader has no place on the 2021 Broncos lockeroom?♂️… Seriously wtf?
I guess they see Royce as a better choice also? Smh….
Off my disgust for this teams disloyalty and onto my question…
Is there a chance that anyone cut for cap concerns returns to the team? Like Jurrell Casey?
larrydennjr
I gotta say pff and their cap specialist Brad has done a phenomenal job covering free agency …. So many jewels about team building I may not agree on how they grade player’s but I agree totally on how they value them …..
Biggest illustration is Rb ….. look at what you pay top Rb Free agent on the market Aaron Jones vs what It cost to pay a solid but not great pass rusher in erik hendricks or floyd …..it stresses why you should stay away from drafting rbs in the first round because of position value love what Pff brad has contributed to free agency done an awesome job …
And I just wanna say to broncos Country to trust George Paton I love what he’s doing I didn’t wanna see kareem go (praying he may come back idk ) I wouldn’t prefer mike boone over phil ….(I’m sure we’re still drafting a RB none the less ) ….. But man we went 5-11 …49ers went 6-10 ….. The 49ers are taking the exact same approach as george Patton it’s almost identical but not spending as much money to do it (wonder what the similarities are in seasons between the broncos and 49ers hmmm ) lol …..
Broncos Country trust this man give him a chance his pedigree is just too good and after the draft if your not happy with this team it’s ok to g t upset but right now he’s doing awesome ! In my opinion
What you guys think ?

How is Phillip lindsay worth 2 million but Mike Boone is worth 3 million? How is it not worth a little more to keep Lindsay?
Please make it make sense
PigTosser66
While I’m definitely not happy that this coaching staff could not figure out how to utilize Phil, the signing of Boone is a deal that a good team makes. Special teams have obviously been horrible and Boone is a hard runner who has been stuck as a #3 in Minnesota. Good signing no doubt. That being said, now that Phil is for sure gone it’s a sad day in Broncos Country. Good luck Phil! I will continue to follow your career, will be rooting for you in every game that isn’t against the Broncos, and will continue to wear my homegrown Phil shirt with pride.
One more comment – why do I get the feeling that we are in negotiations with Trubisky right now? I’m sure he sees Denver as his best chance to resume his career. The familiarity with Vic and the path to a starting job has to make this his #1 choice. Do you guys agree?
Some People Call Me The Space Cowboy
A mile high salute to Colorado’s son, Phillip Lindsay. So long, partner.
Aside from resigning Justin Simmons, what glaring need is left on the roster to fill before the draft? backup QB?
Another round of “What’s more Likely?”
1. Von Miller returns to form and gets 15 sacks?
2. Jerry Jeudy and Cortland Sutton both hit 1,000 receiving yards?

What up fellas!! Long time no speak……sorry, been crazy busy with work, but been listening to every pod (of course)
First thing’s first. Congratulations to Mase. Any team with a Pirate Ship in their stadium gets a nod of approval from me, and you beat one of our enemies, and planted the seed of “maybe I am not a God” in Mahomes’ head, so thank you to the TB boys.
Right then, I have been wanting to chime in for weeks now, to tell 90% of our fanbase how wrong they are on 2 major topics. First one is Philip Lindsay, and second is a QB who likes to get an oily massage. More on that one next week though, cause I need to rant on that too.
Ok, so Lindsay has basically been released. Not sure if you have seen (you will) but Broncos have removed the RFA tender for him. I think Phil Lindsay is living in a dream world if he thinks he can get a lot more more money elsewhere, and I would have a think about firing his agent. Sure, someone might give him $3/4m now, but towards $8m? No way. In fact, RK, if you’re up for it, I’d take a pizza bet that Phil wont get more than $5m per year.
Philip Lindsay is an explosive, small runner, who has speed and intensity. His size is actually an advantage, as he plays much bigger in contact, and lateral quickness is very good. He secures the ball, and fires people up. Great local home-grown dude, that I would love to keep, as long as it is under $5m. The point is here, he can’t block very well at all, albeit a willing blocker, and his catching is, I would say, very below average. Sure, he can improve that, but I don’t care what he did at CU. The list of players that have been able to do things in college but not under the pressure of the NFL, is LONG.
So, Phil, I love you man, and I want you to stay, but The Broncos have not disrespected you in any way whatsoever, even when we brought in a guy who is, let’s face it, much better than you at this stage (because of blocking and catching), the rest is close.
So, for Phil to think he is suddenly going to get a big pay cheque from another team, well, sorry Phil, but you’re wrong. Go test FA, I’ll see you back in Orange and Blue for roughly $3m and your tail between your legs in a few weeks time 🙂
Peace out, love to all, and sorry for the rant, but every RB can run.

Well……..fu*BBBBEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPP*k
Paton started out strong and crapped the bed with the Phil departure. I don’t blame our new GM solely for this, it falls in Shurmur’s lap for an inability to maximize Lindsay’s talent. If he doesn’t get this offense firing on all cylinders this year quick I’ll be conducting the fire Pat train with hefty dose of tar and feathers for good measure.
Nobody has ever won by counting out Phil and I’m afraid the Bronco’s offense is going to further prove that point. I hope I’m wrong, but you can bet I’ll be sporting my homegrown t shirt in the front row at a home game this season trash talking our OC all four quarters just to drive the point home.
Good luck Phil, I hope he wins a super bowl this year wherever he ends up.

Hey fellas, been a minute. I was listening to a couple of “fans” this morning and certain one named something like Randy Blough, seems to think the Broncos would be idiots if they traded for Watson. His reasoning was the haul that Seattle turned down Chicago for Wilson, and the Broncos are too bad of a team with too many holes to make a trade like that for Watson. Do you believe there is any weight to his argument or is it just a garbage fire hot take? Also I know it’s more of saying from the DNVR Nuggets guys, but you do know that “honking like a goose” means farting like crazy? Lol thanks as always fellas, yah boi Wildcard.
Mike1809
Fellas – hoping I can get in a buzzer beater. I’m catching up on yesterday’s pod.
IF we can’t pull off the trade for Watson, I wouldn’t hate to see him go to Carolina. Especially if Broncos are targeting a QB in the draft. That would take the Panthers out of the QB run with the 8th pick….
What do you think our chances are of snagging “our guy” at 9 if Watson goes to Carolina? Do you think we’d still need to trade up?
Still crossing my fingers for Watson to Denver, but if not, Carolina wouldn’t be a bad place to see him land.
Thanks and peace out!

My boys!
I am sure you have talked about the release of Phillip Lindsay and I wanted to give my 2 cents on it. I agree and disagree with the move. I agree that Phillip doesn’t fit into the “current scheme” and Pat never utilized him to his full potential. I disagree with the move because of the type of leader he was. The team rallied behind Phil. The team was better with Phil on it. He brought passion, toughness and relentlessness on the field every time he took a snap. I believe Broncos fans are as upset with this as I am because he was something to root for the last 3 years while the rest of the seasons were crap. He was one of the few people that made it fun to watch Broncos. We adored Phil not only for the reasons stated above, but because he brought hope. He was Elways best “draft pick” in my opinion over the last few years. He will be one of my favorite broncos for bringing that fire to each and every game he played. I will root for him where ever he ends up! And I hope he makes the Broncos look bad for cutting him. I still can’t believe it. I think Paton just created a little crack in the leadership in that locker room because he listened to Shurmer.
Wow, just going on this little rant about Phil, I just realized I want to get rid of Shurmer. I don’t like him as our coordinator with our young core. I bet he gets fired half way through the season or after the bye week. Sadly that will mean Drew isn’t doing great but I will blame that on Shurmer! Drew will always be my guy! He got out of the sophomore slump and will thrive this year.
Hang with me with one last thought.
Best case scenario this year, Drew Lock is absolutely killing it but we are still loosing games due to play calls by Shurmer. Fangio and Paton tell him to change, he does for a couple weeks, but goes back into old habits because its his way or the highway. He ends up getting fired week 6, we are 3-3, Drew has 15 touchdowns to 5 interceptions, we put it the WR coach azzani for Offensive Coordinator, and we finish going 8-3 to finish the stretch. BOOM! Playoffs BABY!
Have a great day!
