First time commenting, but I listen to the podcast everyday and have for about a year.
You guys were right. My Phillip Lindsay t-shirt is freaking awesome.
And btw RK, this is “John and a lot of numbers”. Unlike Twitter, on your platform I actually could manage to chose my own screen name.
Anywho, love the show, but I’ve got one thing I’ve gotta vent about:
I spent the two or so months leading up to the offseason w/my head almost exploding, every time you guys’d go back and forth about which position we needed to upgrade more: Right Tackle, or Left Tackle.
Don’t get me wrong, when RK talks about Bolles limiting the run plays we can send around his end because of his limitations thinking on the fly, I get that that matters, and isn’t gonna manifest itself in physical mistakes we’re gonna see and be able to judge him on.
But Wilkerson is BEYOND TERRIBLE, and when you guys were reporting that after virtually EVERY practice I kept hoping that at some point you were gonna have an entire show entitled “Holy SH!T folks, what the hell were we thinking when we talked about Bolles and Wilkerson being equally bad?”
Seriously, you guys are great, but I had to get this rant off my chest. Preciate it.
Keep up the good work, and stay safe.

Anyone else blame Gordon for bringingthe chargers injuries to Denver? Smh

What is the purpose of having Brett Rypien on the roster? I heard you say NFL coaches won’t play an I drafted, third string quarterback with no experience. If that’s the case, why have them at all?
Also, which is a more unreasonable ask from a team: to win every game or to play a good game every time?

*wont play an undrafted, third string qb

Greetings gents,
From the gif conversation yesterday, there was an example of a soft ‘G’ that immediately came to mind (before I typed gents), but my last name, Giles. It’s always mispronounced, but it’s pronounced jiles, rhymes with miles.
A couple questions I’ve been wondering about, when are we going to be getting some sweet new Broncos design shirts in the Locker? My Broncos question is, how do the Broncos and Jerry Jeudy set him up to succeed? I can feel the drops narrative already starting and when he gets the ball in his hand he looks fantastic.
Thanks for all you do!

I assume y’all saw TJ Watt one player of the week for his performance against us. Assuming elijah starts most games this season, over or under 3.5 players of the week for the rest of the year coming against us? We will see Maxx crosby twice, joey bosa twice, Dee ford/Chris jones twice, just to name a few.

Since we are already on offseason talk, I have a good food proposal for you;
The Peanut Butter Quesadilla.
Tortilla, Crunchy Peanut Butter (not smooth you filthy, filthy people, folded, crisped in a pan (no oil).
You’re welcome.

is it a coincedence that elway keeps signing these qbs that are memes online? first you have butt fumble marc sanchez, then you have ‘elite’ joe flacco, then thicc driskel and now you have bortles. remember they also wanted ‘YOU LIKE THAT’ kirk cousins. there’s got to be something to this, right?

Hey guys!
I had to take a moment to step away from everything broncos for a few of days, mainly to get away from the wild panicking of broncos country (ala Springfield trapped in a glass dome), and had to play catch-up. Yes, it seems like everything is falling apart, but it’s only two games. In these two games, here’s what’s bothering me. It’s the incapability to capitalize on the opponents’ mistakes. Tennessee gave plenty of opportunities for Denver to take control of the game, and they didn’t. If you can’t punish a kicker for leaving 10 points on the board, what’re we even doing? Letting potential turnovers slip through the hands. Going away from what’s working for the sake of trying something new. Teams like Pittsburgh, New Orleans, Kansas City, and New England don’t slip up often, and you have to take those mistakes and convert them into points on the board. This is a team that is getting punished on every mistake they make, while not reciprocating. Until that changes, this team will not sniff .500, regardless of who starts on the field. What needs to change?

Tomorrow you get a full day by yourself (and your time away goes unpunished) anywhere in the world doing anything you want –

Read your article Mase on how the broncos offense can be effective and I 100% agree Arthur Moats a former pittsburgh lb has a podcast and in it he reviewed the game and said ” Fant had a lot of opportunities but they weren’t feeding him he could have gashed us for a lot more and we would have been looking at this game differently that noa Fant was a first round pick for a reason and he is as advertised” ….that along with Bruce arians praise I’m hoping for a PROBOWL season for Fant ….I mean imagine of Noa Fant got the targets that Darren Waller got ? Made my stomach turn hearing “waller is the fastest te in the league ” over and over smh …… But love that article …. Anyways 2 quick questions what kind of season do you see for kj now ….. Because kj wasn’t a speed guy last Sunday kj put on a route running clinic ! In year one is he gonna be a 800 yard guy now that court is out for the year ……and lastly um Herbert looked pretty Damn good and ??s up for tyrod who might be out for a while do you think Herbert is going to become an added issue in the afc west ?

A Drizzle or a Bortle?
The conundrum makes me chortle.
A team in need of Lock indeed,
Is truly not immortal.
Much love,

MY BOYS! Somewhat lost in the hubbub of the continued injury fallout this week was Melvin Gordon’s wheel route touchdown grab against the Steelers. It was a thing of a beauty. Jeff Driskel made a great touch throw, and Gordon made a stellar catch. I loved that play and hope we see it more this season. The Broncos practiced a lot of running back wheel routes in their 2018 and 2019 training camps and preseasons, but failed to really display and execute such a play in those regular seasons. It was nice to finally see one come to fruition in a game and for a touchdown no less. As discussed on yesterday’s podcast episode, with teams certain to focus more on stopping Denver’s run game with Drew Lock and Courtland Sutton both out, involving Gordon, Royce Freeman, and maybe even LeVante Bellamy more in the passing game in Week 3 and the weeks to come will become substantially important. That said, how many total yards does Gordon need to accumulate for the Broncos to pull off an upset of Mase’s Buccaneers this Sunday? Thanks, fellas!

With a truncated off-season we were summarily denied our ability to postulate about the bubble-bubble guys and the lifeboat boys.
Yet another set of 2020 casualties
