TLDR – checking in after a crazy few weeks!

What’s up gang. It’s been a crazy past few weeks and I’m catching up on pods. Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away last week and I had the opportunity to get home early this week for her (very small, outdoor) services. It was a great time to be around family and back in the mountains.

I also had a chance to shoot down to the DNVR bar with my younger cousin and intro him to the community. It was awesome to get a chance to unplug and have some RK specials – damn good beer!

Quickly… on the pop-tart convo… Mase is absolutely correct. Fruit-flavored pop-tarts are where it’s at (with some brown-sugar cinnamon thrown in for good measure)!

Regarding the convo on North Carolina… I currently live in Raleigh and think it’s a great town. Close to the mountains, close to the beach, good smaller-town vibes. BUT I have to disagree a little with Mase here. NC is a good state, but Colorado is PARADISE. The mountains out here are great, but they don’t come close to the Rockies.

To that end… my wife and I are looking at moving back to CO. Our first course of action, hitting up Mike and Virginia Chevalier. Just getting started with the process, but they’re awesome. Another reason that the DNVR family is the best.

Keep up the great work gang. Let’s go get Deshaun to Denver.

I think another way the Wilson trade indirectly relates to the Broncos is this: the same teams that want Russ likely want Deshaun. He didn’t have Denver in mind? So what. The raiders want him? So what. Deshaun was intrigued by Denver and Wilson could dilute Watsons market in terms of distracting otherwise competitors for Deshaun. What I mean is, the teams Wilson said he would be willing to go to may hold out in hopes of getting him, and could pass on Deshaun if Wilson is tangible for them. I’m still all about getting Watson and I think Wilson being open to a trade helps the Broncos in the quest for Deshaun.

I know it’s going to be Friday and you said you won’t be doing comments, I’ll re-post if this doesn’t make it on the show.

Yesterday I mentioned that Von Miller deserves all the $$$ for what he did in SB50 – both Mase and Zac disagreed and said it may be time to move on.

Now, I do agree that the fair and smart move for the team and Von both would be a restructure to make him a Bronco for life, but as a top 20 pass rusher, not top 3.

However, today…. Deshaun Watson tweeted and I quote “Loyalty is everything. Don’t you EVER forget it.” – imagine what Watson would think about a team like the Broncos marking Miller a life-long Bronco, and extending home-grown talent in Justin Simmons and Phillip Lindsay. Seems like Class-A loyalty to me!

To the topic:
Von’s deal, if you look back at it, signing Von after SB was a huge mistake. Would’ve been emotionally hard not giving him a contract but if you remove emotion Broncos has got 0 success from that contract. Never, and I mean NEVER pay a player for what they’ve already done. You can’t bring in emotion when constructing a rooster. Von should be cut/reconstructed to a amount that suits his value.
I love Chelsea FCs policy of only giving 30+ players 1 year contracts, doesn’t matter if you played for 3 years and won everything with the club. You’re obviously a possible liability and if you crash and burn you’re gone the next year.

Might be hard to hear but you don’t win super bowls if you pay for memories.

Hey guys, havent commented in a while but i heard the call for the OGs so i had to make time today to say hello to the community.

Broncos question, if Bouye and Casey sign elseware, would the Broncos get a compensatory pick?

I am one of thoes Drew supporters, i still belive in the kid , i saw palpable improvement as he got more comfotable in the offence and i think this year he will take a step forward. I would love Watson but I don’t see a realistic path to getting him, so for now i am backing Drew.

I hope next year will be better for everyone in the community and i hope you guys get to cover your first Broncos winning season in the DNVR era. If we have had so much fun with the team losing i can’t wait to see what happens when the team is winning.

With all this treasure talk about Wilson and Watson, do yall REALLY believe we have a chance at either greats? I am solely going off yall’s decision. I will listen to “Mase the Mastermind”, “Zack the Zohan”, and “RK well fill the blank haha” (JK you the baller). I refuse to listen to those two goofballs that report on our great team, besides all they do make fun of each other. (you know whom I speak of) and the other cats e.g. Kiz etc…(besides I think they might dislike our team or they are they realist hahaha)
