Hey guys.
I know you already talked about Josh Allen, but I’ve gotta say that I will ALWAYS believe that Elway would’ve taken him, if not for the fact that he believed the only way he could’ve EVER been run out of town/GM, would’ve been to miss on a THIRD consecutive high round “high ceiling/low floor” QB.

I think he’s always been looking for the next John Elway, and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a one who reminds me(and likely HIM) more of him.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not claiming Allen’s ready to be fitted for his Golden Jacket.
And even though I was SO hoping we’d take him, even if Chubb WOULDN’TVE fallen into our laps not doing so would’ve been very defensible, because the general consensus of draft analysist was that Allen had a high enough chance of being a bust that taking him w/the 5th pick would’ve been risky.

His size, athleticism, and arm comparisons to Elway were always a given.
But where he REALLY reminds me of Elway are on critical third down conversions late in games, where between his arm strength, his ability to convert or extend plays w/his legs, his size, and his knack for being significantly more accurate than he’d been in the first three quarters, he’s so Elway’ish that it’s f’ing eerie.
I also think his size will help him hold up better than a lot of the other athletic QB’s who just can’t take the pounding, and his arm, body, and skillset will serve him well in the cold and windy(aka “Average Buffalo”) games we tend to see late in the season and in the playoffs.

Dang, failed buzzer beater twice this week. Hopefully I’ve taken all the L’s so the Broncos don’t have to. *Repost*
Fellas! It’s been a while, life is crazy. Hope you are all doing well. Double Broncos related, my senior year of college I was fortunate enough to have an internship at the Air Force Academy with the AD department hear for their football program (awesome experience, major highlight of school)
That year, Air Force hosted Boise State with senior year Rypien at the helm. I know it’s Air Force, but Ryp’s got it. Maybe not a starter in the league, but he looked like a legit QB. Hope he gets a real shot this week, because he was nothing but impressive live. Even in warm ups he just looked a tier above the rest

Sometimes I feel like we are judging chasing a ghost.

Do you guys see any scenario where Denver takes any of the top 3 QB’s? It’s hard not to picture Denver having a legit chance at one of them, even if it isn’t Trevor. Living in ND we get a lot of trey lance talk, Daniel Jeremiah has him as his top QB this summer in front of both Lawrence and Fields. So what I’m saying, is if Drew can get us 4 wins when he gets back. Would/Should the broncos go after the dual threat QB from NDSU aka QB University! Who accounted for over 40tds and NO INTERCEPTIONS!

Ps I think I know what RK will say, thanks guys! I’ll hang up and listen to your thoughts.

If we can get Trevor, we do no matter what. Only way we go for any other QB in the first 3 rounds is if either Lock comes back fully healthy and sucks so much we can’t even blame the O-Line OR if Lock comes back and has another major injury and the broncos feel like he may not be able to stay healthy in the future

Reports are that a Jets loss would lead to an immediate coaching change. Do you think this may lead to certain Jets players almost “throwing” the game? We may actually see an easy victory yet

Guys,

If Brett goes out there and tears it up he obviously gets the next start. What happens if he balls out then? I know people aren’t going to give this undrafted guy much but remeber TB12 went super late and now look. How would each of you manage the situatuon below:

Ripen vs jets: 65% compleation 175 yards 3 tds 0 int broncos win

Ripen vs Pats: 70% completion 198 yds 2tds 1 int broncos win

Ripen vs Dolphins: 70% completion 205 yds 3 tds 1 int broncos win

Who do you start week 6? Drew is healthy and ready but ripen pulled you to .500 with an upset on the Pats.

Ride the hot hand imo. Do you see a possibility where rypien beats drew out if this is the case?

Cheers

Honestly you guys aren’t helping me fight off the urge to swallow tidepods every time I get a Boncos alert off the interwebs…

I’ve been dejected with every phase of the Broncos all the way down to the position i never thought I ever had to mention LONG SNAPPER.

On the bright side, the broncos will get an entire new team off of IR in 2021

Guys,

I’m sorry but the defense is just bad now. What the hell are the safeties doing out there? They’re supposed to be the leaders left and they’re tackling like pansies. I’m disgusted. “Tempered expectations” was an understatement Elway did not know the magnitude of at the when he said it.
