Orange and Blue all over
Fire takes:
1. QB with most success his first 3 years in the league this class will be the one drafted 3rd overall – doesnt matter which one.
1.8 Manning is greatest QB of all time. Brady boy can be 2nd
2. Geroge Paton is best signing by Broncos since Peyton Manning
3. Drew Lock will be starting QB and be pro-bowl selction or alternate
4. Paton would rather get two 2nds plus a later round pick than a 1st round pick in trade back.
5. Ja’Wuan James stays healthy and plays at pro bowl level (but gets snubbed)
6. Team is sold within a year
7. Broncos get wild card weekend victory and bring excitement back to Denver!
8. Buns are overrated- hamburger wrapped in crispy lettuce is superior
9. DNVR draft day coverage gonna be lit!
You guys jumping on board the crazy train with me on any of these?
No smoke – just fire! Let’s GOOOOO!

Hey guys,
So here’s a would you rather scenario.
The Broncos go 2-15 but the 2 wins both come against the cheifs, and I’m talking an absolute beat down like 70-0 blowout.
Or vice versa they go 15-2 but the 2 losses come from the cheifs in the same manner 70-0 blowouts and continue the losing streak against them.
I would obviously much prefer the second one but those 2 games would be very hard to watch. While on the other hand winning just 2 games like that in a shitty season would be nice to watch.

My boys! 75! My boys! 75! My boys! 75!
…As we know, there’s much discourse around Trey Lance needing time to incubate before he’s ready to play. But riddle me this… We also talk about Lance having the following assets:
– quick processor
– pornographic (I mean photographic) memory
– experience in a pro style offense
– tutelage under a top quarterback coach
– ability to use his legs when things break down
– a canon of an arm
– above average accuracy
– chip on his shoulder having been told in high school that his skills don’t translate to the collegiate level
Aren’t these traits that would suggest he CAN make a more immediate jump than we think? Is it just because of the lower level of competition? Well, I recall Carson Wentz being a fine & dandy rookie quarterback sensation! Why can’t Lance be one too? He seems like a dude that can beat the odds and pick things up quickly. What say you to the Booty??

Gentlemen,
Before you all were enlightened to higher plane of being once introduced to the glory that is Breckenridge Brews.
What do you prefer? Coors in a can or bottle?
Here in Downunder is just outside of their delivery range.
I am a staunch can man.

Fellas, thanks for content. Quick question: do teams look around to see potential free agents next year when deciding on a draft pick?
I ask because there is obvious talk about us picking up a QB. But what if we got Sewell and then got A-Aron that bad man to come play in Denver? As much as I love the cost saving QB route it’s hard not to salivate at the thought of Rodgers playing here in Denver.
To me, the only way to really benefit with a cost saving QB is picking up Fields or Mac. Lance will need 1-2 years of development so if you draft him then cost saving window to win is shorter. Idk about y’all but I’d rather have Sewell and Rodgers for 5 years then any QB coming out not named Trevor.

Oh also…I don’t want that red zone smoke lol

Gents!
It’s been a while. Just finalizing some stuff for my move to Hawaii, and getting more and more excited each day!
One Broncos question and one side question,
First,
I have been dreaming a scenario in my head where we somehow get fields/lance and najee Harris OR fields/lance and one of the top line backers (inside preferred). Which is more likely? And what would it take for it to happen?
Second,
Have you guys been to Hawaii? If so. Any advice?
Cheers

Howdy Gents,
Doomsday, four QBs in the top four. Only Mac is left and Payton scoffs. You have two offers for the pick at 9, which would you rather?
Steelers trade 24 and a (presumably) late first in 2022 for Roethlisberger’s heir. Or
Bears won’t part with this years first, instead they offer 2021 second and third, 2022 first and second, 2023 third.
Thanks fir the pod as always.

Mase in yesterdays Pod you talked about the resilience factor. Thats something the Sonny Weaver Jr. had to be told to look for by Vontae Mack, so you are already a better GM than him. When evaluating prospects do you guys check and see if their teammates attended Birthday parties? Anyways do you guys view JOK more as a safety or a LB? I have seen places that have him ranked as both, and while I’m sure he can do both do you think Broncos would have him as off Ball LB or as the replacement for Kareem? Hope you all are staying positive and testing negative.

Hey guys, quick non football question. My girlfriend and I want to move out of Los Angeles. One of my top options is Denver. But I don’t know where the good places to live are. Where are the good schools and neighborhoods? Is walking distance from the bar a good place to live?
For thw draft, worst case scenario, who is left for the Broncos to get?

What a shit day.
First my hockey club HV71s loses the play out series I mentioned the other week 4-1 and is leaving the top league for the first time since 1984. F U C K….
Secondly, greedy American (no offense) billionaires leads the charge to ruin European football by trying to half transform it into franchise football without relegations. All to make more profit. Glazers, Kroenke and John W Henry should be banned from touching anything in Europe. Nationalise everything they own.
Sorry no NFL related but had to write the weight of my chest

hey guys!
i saw an interesting take the other day on twitter so i wanted to hear what y’all thought about it;
so we know the broncos have a sneaky need at receiver with courtland and tim patrick being free agents and daesean being a potential trade piece. the patriots have made it known that they’re willing to move on from n’keal harry.
the broncos- (albeit under a different regime, although azzanni was still the wr coach) showed significant interest in harry in 2019. harry hasn’t amounted to much in new england but zach azzanni is one of the best receiver coaches in the league especially at developing protoypical X receivers (sutton, patrick and cleveland showing flashes). and i was a big fan of harry’s coming out of college. i thought he’d be a lot better than he has been but then again nobody on the patriots offense has looked good since he was drafted.
belichick reportedly wants a 4 for harry, but that seems too high. would y’all throw a 5 or 6 and hamilton at the patriots for harry?

How are the Broncos injuries healing? Like Albert-o, Justin Strnad and Juwan James’s all to dominant injury to wanting to play the game?

Some quotes are immortal. This one, however, seems to have faded with time.

Why aren’t the Broncos and their fans more interested in Mac Jones? In a pre-Mahomes and Josh Allen world wouldn’t he be a lock to go ahead of Wilson, Fields and Lance? I like the other QB’s too, but the deadly accurate pocket passer can still win trophies in the NFL!
Do you think people are chasing unicorns? Like how teams have been trying to find the next Tyreek Hill for the past 5 years and are consequently overdrafting guys like John Ross, Henry Ruggs, and Hollywood Brown just because they can run fast.
