I’m noticing there are more and more ad reads on the pod. It used to irritate me and I would hit the fast forward button. Hey guys! A lot of my friends are Vikings fans and it seems like all they talk about this time of year is how many corners are we going to draft this year? They are right! For some reason the vikes draft a ton of corners… so what are the odds the broncos take a corner.. and if so what round? And who is it?

Hey guys, I don’t comment much cause I understand you guys get a lot of rants on these comments but Being on Twitter during draft time is annoying lol having guys like Joe Rowles stirring up the toxicity haha. But I’m trying to be as open minded as I can with this years draft. I trust Paton’s plan but it is concerning seeing the possibly of trading for Bridgewater. Jacksonville is taking one and won’t need the Stash. Gardner Minshew coming to Denver to either compete with Lock or whichever QB we draft. 🙂

I’m getting more and more convinced that trading up to 7 with the Lions will be enough to get the quarterback of the future. And that got me thinking what the Lions would want for that pick.
Considering Drew Locks name was tossed around when the Stafford trade went down, wouldn’t it make sense for the Lions to take on Lock to sit behind Goff for a while? And if so, what would it take to move two spots, if Drew Lock is included in the trade?

With Drew Lock, and our current team, and if we picked at No 9? Then no waaaaaay I would pick Tebow there, or even in first round. I wanted Denver to draft him in the 2nd round in 2010 anyway, as a project. You don’t draft Projects in the Top Ten, and that is all my point is; Lance = Project = Day 2 Pick

…and with regard to Tebow, he wouldn’t have been a project if we didn’t mess with his throwing motion; extremely accurate in college, then we try to make his passing motion look pretty, and he then couldn’t hit a bus (if he was on it!)
I still adamantly say, he would have been a huge success in the NFL, if he kept his college throwing motion. A couple more strip sacks, sure, but his completion % would have gone to almost 70%
He had a winning record when he passing abilities were basically removed. Come at me, haters!

Hey guys I’m going for a Bonus question! I hope you don’t mind! Say Drew Lock is the starter week one. If he does not play well, how many games will the Broncos give Lock before they pull the plug on him. This is just a hypothetical situation. Let’s say there’s two scenarios, First is how Long will it take if they have a rookie QB. The second is how long will it take if they have a veteran QB. Thanks!

The more I think about the draft the more I think that this draft is a failure if we don’t come away with a quarterback. We’ve talked about the other options at quarterback but it feels like 2022 is another year of QB purgatory if we don’t make a move now.
If I believed for a moment that a patient collection of draft capital would get us in a better position next year to get “the guy”, then I’d be down for it. Unfortunately, the only path to a true top talent is through many more years of the franchise imploding. The 49ers traded three first round picks only to get to #3. No amount of capital is getting us #1 or #2.
We’re at #9 right now in a draft class that appears to be pretty deep with QB talent. It’s time to take a chance.

Bridgewater…..I love the guy but please say this is our bridge QB while Lance develops. I thought we were done collecting the rest of the league’s sloppy seconds. He’s great but he doesn’t seem to be the long term solution.
If anyone needs me I’m gonna head back to the strip tonight and assuage my angst with more tequila then go flip off Allegiant stadium while sporting my DNVR t shirt!
