I know your trying to kill this line of comments but I have to take one last shot at it. I’m not afraid to admit that I have at times gone to my local Tamale Kitchen at 7am, 12pm, and 6pm to get the exact same meal. A red tamale smothered in green chili. The caveat being that it wasn’t all in the same day. What say you? Is the tamale something that qualifies as a food item that you can eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?

Reposting since I missed yesterdays cut off BY ONE.

I believe I’m in the minority here but I have openly advocated across essentially every outlet at my disposal for years now that Fall Out Boy should play the Super Bowl halftime show. The band has had songs on Madden soundtracks and “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark” has more or less become a stadium Rock Anthem across multiple Sports.

However if we are only going off the names you listed yesterday, give me Taylor Swift ALL DAY.

If the decision were up to you, who would you three personally choose to play the halftime show?

While I’m not a big fan of her as a person (long story) I thought Katy Perry put on a masterful show when she played.

Gents. Fist off, i freaking love this pod if you couldn’t already tell. Secondly, and more importantly, if you could hypothetically get, for the needs of this current bronco team, any single player that’s eligible to be drafted this year, who would it be and how (trades of picks, etc) would you go about doing it? Feel free to be as creative as your hearts will allow.

Hey guys!

Here’s a hair-brained idea that clearly would never happen: since we’re sticking with Tom McMahon, how much would/could you pay Pat McAfee to come out of retirement to replace Colby Wadman?

To answer the two questions referring to Hawaiian bbq food, no it is not Pokè, it’s the good stuff, plate style. If you’re in the north suburbs of Dallas there’s Shaka which is by the top golf off of 121(Sam Rayburn tollway), my personal favorite one. The one I liked in Garland closed down, and there’s one in at the intersection of midway road and Trinity Mills.

In Elway I trust!

2014 Broncos had about $30 million in cap space. That year Elway got us Ware, Talib, Sanders & Ward.

Also, 2014 I think we had 6 picks in the draft.

This year we have twice as much cap space and twice the draft picks ( 5 in the top 100 ). I can’t wait to see what he does with that.

If Elway thinks Drew is the guy I think he is going to swing for the fence.

I give John a 75% chance of pulling this off and ending up with a SuperBowl caliber roster.

Keep up the good work.

This one is for Mase.
Considering your penchant for football history and Aussie Rules punters making their way in the NFL, what do you know about “the kangaroo kicker” Pat O’Dea? Played for the University of Wisconsin in 1896!!! Made the All-American teams in 1898-99. And was the first and only Aussie to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1962!

Quite the story if you have time to read it.

Would love to hear you thoughts.

Gentlemen,

My go-to sandwich as a kid was just straight up Nutella and white bread. Personally, I would not recommend putting peanut butter or jelly on it. Although I’ve never tried it, I’ve heard good things about the Nutella and marshmallow fluff sandwich. Also, shout-out to Elvis’s favorite: the fried peanut butter and bananna sandwich.

Now, which of the two following options would you take?
1. You can have ANY Chiefs player(s) onto the Broncos roster, BUT your HC is Vance Joseph and your OC is Rick Dennison.
2. You can have ANY 49ers player(s) onto the Broncos roster and the no change in coaching.

Which players are your taking?

Hello Gentlemen,

Earlier this week I took the time to ask my students (mostly sophomores in high school) what their thoughts were on the Straws: One Hole or Two debate. I gave them the option of “One” or “Two” while also including a third “Other, write in option.” After tabulating the answers here are the results.

Out of 127 students:
75 (yes, actually 75) said straws have one hole
34 said straws have two holes
18 chose the “Other, write in” option

I wont bore you with all the, “other” options but a few of my favorites were,
“Why are you asking me this question you dumb nerd..?”
“It doesn’t matter, just pour the liquid directly into your mouth like a real man…”
AND
“One, but if you bend it in half to form a kink, then it would have two holes.”

Anyway, do with this information what you want. Just thought I’d give the perspective of 127 high school students.

Hope you guys are having fantastic days!

I don’t know if anyone else feels this way, but I wish this off-season could be like a video game. We “save” our progress now … And “load” our “save” later if things go haywire and start over. L O L . For real though, with 60 mil in cap space before any roster moves and 12 draft picks, the Broncos CANNOT afford to mess this off-season up. They need a W in both FA and the Draft.

I think it’s a significant need. Purcell great at the interior commanding double teams and vs run, but DEN needs a disruptive DT that can shoot the gap quickly to create an interior pass rush. That will be key.

In response to BroncoRush, I personally am still irate that SuperBowl 50’s halftime show was Coldplay over to all time best selling artist to come from the Bay Area: Metallica. Imagine: a black out arena, dead silent. Suddenly, the thundering intro to For whom the bell tolls kicks in. It could’ve been a show to rival Prince’s performance. They could’ve featured the other legends of metal: Pantera, Megadeth, Ozzy, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, and some more modern bands (disturbed, breaking Benjamin, system of a down, Korn, etc.), with a tribute to Lemmy, the founder of Motorhead, who passed away not 2 months before the game. Instead, we get an awkward British band 20 years younger, with no relation to San Francisco. Shame!

Hello gentlemen,
I have been a longtime listener over the past year since this was the only place to get Broncos news while I was living in South America over the past few years. I finally decided to stop being a freeloader and pull the trigger on a subscription. I am looking forward to seeing all of the great features of DNVR.

For the offseason, I am a believer that games are still won upfront. Therefore, I would like to see Denver go get a guard like Scherff and maybe DJ Reader in free agency. Then in the draft, I would like Tyler Biadasz, in the second. The interior combination of Scherff, Biadasz and Risner would allow them to just mash people. Then they could get Ruggs in Round 1, and KJ Hill in round 3. What do you think about this possibility?

Finally, if you all like juice, you have to go to Colombia. While living there, I fell in love with the juices there. They have so many fruits. Two of my favorite are lulo, which is like a cross between a lime and orange, it is pretty sour so it is only used in juices and guanabana, which the fruit itself looks crazy but it is a creamy smooth juice which is amazing. They also have something called guarapo, which is sugar cane juice mixed with some lime juice. You expect it to be uber sweet but it is just the most refreshing drink in the Colombian heat.

Anyway, thank you for what you do and I can’t wait to follow DNVR through the draft and the offseason!

I’d like to pick your guys’ brain with two questions.

One: If you could hold Lock from the preseason entirely, would you or would you need to see him in the new offense?

Two: what positions would you focus on in free agency and what positions would you focus on in round 1, 2, and 3?

Love you fam. You guys have everything I love from Ryan’s “here’s the thing” takes to Zac’s bad takes, lol. Your my boy Zac, I appreciate your opinions and I almost always agree, but damn. And also to mase’s infinite wisdom that balances out this delicious queso of content.

Eggs are NOT only breakfast. Eggs are everything.

Of course you can eat ham/turkey and cheese on bread for breakfast without the egg.
Eggs an ingredient, you use in baking and cooking and it’s good enough to be eaten itself.

In my opinion nothing can be graded as breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Some things can be both breakfast and lunch and all dinners can also be lunches.

When ignoring your view of eggs which is WRONG an omelett with bacon, mushrooms, tomato and red on ion is a perfect breakfast and perfect lunch.

Anything you make for dinner, from lasagna to chickpeas and pesto sallad is lunch and dinner. No you’re not eating dinner for lunch. They’re equal

1) definitely sounds like steffon diggs and the vikings are headed for a divorce. are y’all interested if/when he becomes available and what would y’all trade. how about we throw jeff heuerman back at kubes and a day 2 pick or two? the vikings probably expect a first but considering the draft class and his contract that’s probably not realistic

2) speaking of vikings’ players- the writing appears to be on the wall with connor mcgovern, and there’s a chance that pat elflein is on his way out (especially because performance escalators have doubled his based salary for the 2020 season, and he was godawful at guard).

he had his best season at center with pat shurmur as his offensive co-ordinator. they’d probably have to offer a late round pick because i doubt elflein would get to denver on the waiver wire, but i’d definitely be into it.

Let me abundantly clear….

My name has nothing to do with scantily clad men thrusting their genitalia at screaming women and covering themselves in vegemite whilst letting the crowd stick $1 bills to their chiseled physique.

It’s just not that risqué.

Though to be fair, it’s drenched in some pretty graphic innuendo depending on where your mind goes….

Ok. Football question.

Kinlaw, Wirfs and Juedy are there are 15. What we are doing? How much is this decision contingent on what you believe happens in FA?

Man I love Vic Fangio hes asked how do you best the chiefs his rebuttal …. They have lost 8 games in the 8 they lost their opponent scored at least 31 then to hear Shurmur echo those sentiments by for the most oart saying we’re going to have success moving the ball but we have to put points on the board for me……. Was the most honest answer you can give about how you intend to improve what’s been a bottom 3rd offense for the past 4 years . Although i can’t get a feel for Shurmur personality wise he had a couple corny bad jokes (wait til we score 0 points ) …… Yea not funny bro .. (Also the we’re lucky to have Mike Shula when T.c. was doing a great Job in my opinion and putting shula on the Level of Mike Munchak ??? Naaaah bro his resume isn’t as impressive as munchak at all ….. he seems a bit dull but the x’s and o’s are what matter…….. SO my question is ….is it fair to hold Shurmur Accountable to his words ? Because if we’re doing what players do best ? Then i need courtland going deep after we pass the 50, Drew has gotta be in shotgun 70% and under center 30% if not more , I need fant on te screens or quick outs, or quick slants and seam routes where he can catch balls in stride and not have to comtest for them , i need Phil hitting the edges and Royce as power back relief only (heck i need royce snaps down a lot if it doesn’t contribute to explosiveness or points ) and i need some speed at wr in this draft so WE CAN FINALLY SEE DAESEAN HAMILTON FIRST DOWN DEFENSES TO DEATH !!!! ( please answer my prayes football gods i still believe in Daesean lol) based on what he said is that taking advantage of what our personnel does best #1 and #2 if not what do we need to add to utilize our current weapons efficiently and effectiently

Hey guys, after listening to the podcast for the last month, I’ve finally took the plunge and subscribed, code ‘Mase’ (We got’em!). Mase, I’ve been following you since the early days (CBS, Mile High Report, Denverbroncos.com, etc.). I’m excited to join you boys and the other subscribers this offseason, it should be an exciting one. Thank you guys for all you do.

My question;
Fangio clearly wants to be a aggressive, which is music to my ears. Can you talk a little bit about the relationship between Head Coach, the OC and their QB coach in relation to this offseason? What does that look like for Drew Lock and the rest of the offense? What changes from what players were prescribed before they left for the offseason?

It’s seems as if Andrew Thomas is falling down boards. Would u guys select him over a Ruggs/Viska? The more I think about it I would. I think munchak will work wonders with him. Or wirfs and I don’t mind passing on the speedy receiver in the 1st with hopes of grabbing a guy in the 2nd like raegor. It’s that time of year again where all I do is look at mock drafts and do mock draft myself. I’ve found that I get the worst value every time when I select aWR round 1 (unless it’s Jeudy or lamb. Even Kinlaw and a receiver in the 2nd would make more sense.

Morning boys,

I had an epiphany last night about the Broncos having to face Mahomes for the next decade or so…we deserve this!!

I thought back to how many quarterbacks have given us fits from the AFC West over the past 20-30 years, not many! Obviously Philip Rivers has been annoying for awhile now, but he is borderline good/great and hasn’t done anything in the playoffs. After that it’s names like Rich Gannon, Trent Green…??

I remember having this unwarranted hate of Elvis Grbac with my dad but I don’t think he was very good in actuality.

Who do you guys think of as the most problematic AFC west quarterbacks for the Broncos going back to 1990ish?

Have a great weekend you GD champs!

First off… RK said that ham and cheese bagel is a sandwich which is not breakfast… but isn’t PB&J a sandwich and therefore thrown out the window as breakfast?? Boom.

A question specifically for Zac since he botched my name (which I have embraced) who in the Broncos had this nickname and would you call them the Albeeno Reeno? (Mase no helping until he guesses right or wrong).

What would you think of trading Flacco AND a second rounder for Fitzmagic? Think Miami would take it? Offloading Joe saves cap they keep a “vet” behind Tua but gain an additional 2nd rounder and we get our backup squared away. Thoughts?

Have been wanting to sign up for a long time now, finally got my tax return and couldn’t think of a better way to spend my money ??. You guys always keep me up to date, I live in Connecticut so its the heart of Patriots country but with the Denver Broncos leading the series 30-23-0 all time, and Brady owning a 7-9 all-time record against Denver, 6-6 if you only include the regular season, and his only playoff win against the Broncos came when Tebow was the quarterback in Denver. Having him in our division without Belichick doesn’t scare me at all.

P.S We are BIG into college basketball in CT (GO UCONN), and number 3 was one of the greatest athletes of all time; Diana Taurasi. She was dominate during her run with the team, its a sign for good things to come from our boy DREW! GO BRONCOS ???!
