Let’s say Vic gets the defense to a top 3 unit by the end of the season. How bad can the offense be without costing him his job?

Hey fellas, loving the camp coverage! I love hearing about the creativity with Surtain playing a bit of a hybrid role, but is there a risk that he is losing valuable reps as a pure corner? My concern is that he will spend his rookie year learning the hybrid position and then be a year behind when we lose Callahan or Fuller and he has to go back to corner. Maybe he is so advanced he doesn’t need the year or maybe this is a good way ease him in? What do you think?

Hey guys, When Zac Asked what walleye was yesterday I lost it! It’s ok Zac I just recently learned what a rocky Mountain Oyster is! Head coach candidates for next season? We have an amazing Defensive coordinator in Vic but the team needs a true Head coach that watches both sides of the ball. How many more times can we hear Vic say he didn’t watch the offense? Reminds me of Vance and how good practice was.

I know its probably not what we need right now, but if Minshew loses the “competition” with T Law I really think Denver needs to make that trade. I think Minshew is a better player than both Teddy and Drew.

I am all in on the high risk, high reward play right now. I love me some Teddy but being 8-9 is not the answer.

Also on the Jerry Juedy fantasy stuff. I am in a Dynasty draft and last year mid way thru the season i was able to trade DJ Chark straight across for Juedy and I cant wait to reap the benefits of that trade.

With Pat Surtain possibly being used in a hybrid role, do you see the team needing to permanently invest more in the secondary to allow him to do that? From how I view it the team will need to have 2 other guys who are good enough to be starters outside of Surtain. That way when he needs to be able to cover the tight end or move up to stack the box there won’t be a big drop in the skill level among the guys who will be playing the outside.

My guys! You know I gotta ask a couple questions about my Hawks! With the signing UDFA LB Barrington Wade do we have more Hawks in camp than any other school? They gotta be up there. Noah Fant, Josey Jewell, Michael Ojemudia, Shaun Beyer, and Barrington Wade.
I’ve also heard that OJ has been working in a similar role to PS2 as that dime Cb/Lb hybrid. Have you all seen this at all?

MY BOYS! I started listening to you guys at the beginning of the pandemic when I had to start doordashing to pay rent and without this podcast I would have lost my mind. Thanks for showing up whenever I was down to keep me going through this tough year we have all faced, I am proud to say that I am finally a DNVR member.

You often talk of the Broncos’ ceiling and how we are “one QB away from true contender status”, but I would pose the argument that we are one offensive coordinator away. I see no difference between our current roster and the 2019 super bowl losing 49ers and actually think we are better in a few ways. Jimmy Garoppolo was no special talent at QB that year but instead a guy with a decent arm who can play the scheme. I really think all we are missing is some creativity and bigger cojones to turn this offense around. Thoughts?
