Is Michael Ojamudia real or just a dream we all had?

Just wondering since he has all but vanished the last 2 weeks.

MY BOYS! What a win for the Broncos! One I didn’t see coming. It actually looked like pat shurmur finally pulled his head out of his ass and realized that we don’t win when Drew drops back 50 plus times a game. Drew started off shaky with that pick but got going after the first couple series and looked pretty good for the most part. The key was Phil getting 16 carries for 82 yards Melvin getting 15 for 84 yards with Drew making 30 pass attempts. The balanced offense looked refreshing compared to the past several game plans. And that defensive performance looked a lot like what you’d expect from Vic and a healthy defense. Hopefully this is something the team can build on but we’ll see.

Ok first comment since the 16-0 incident, by the way looks like the Steelers have a real shot at 16-0. Anyway wanted to run the last 6 games by you, My predictions

I got them at 8-8, finishing the season. I think it’s about right I do see 7-9, but 6-10 is probably most realistic, Thoughts?

I don’t mean to be the wet blanket here but this week when talking about what would need to happen in order for Denver to win — statistical regression for the Dolphins.

And that’s exactly what happened. Big time regression on both sides of the ball. Let’s not react too fast to this win. I’ll need to see another one before I put more emotional stock into the 2020 Broncos.

That being said, Drew’s ability to bounce back after that start is a great sign but let’s see some sustained success.

Lindsay is free, almost! Let’s hope that he has 15+ carries in the next game too.

It is nice to see this team play like this and to see Drew play fairly well, but he has quite a ways to go to show us he can be a starter next year, let alone a possible franchise quarterback. He has looked so fundamentally incapable of playing at the NFL level the past few games, we still just have to see so much more.

I saw some discussion on a tweet of RK’s about Drew Lock “improving” and I think it’s misleading to say he improved. He improved upon his play the last few weeks, but he’s still taken a step back and done the opposite of improve compared to last year. It’s like Drew was at a 6, took a step back to a 3, and is now at a 4. When you take a wholistic, longer-term view it’s not improvement.

And almost regardless of how well Lock plays down the stretch, we still need to bring in a QB in the off-season to compete with him for the starting job or more preferably, draft a QB first round to compete for the starting job. He can’t be our only option unless he plays at a mind-blowingly high level down the stretch. I don’t want us to lose games, but I really want a top 10 pick to get a QB or a stud player. Being out of playoffs, it is helpful to lose most of the remaining games, but it’s hard not to be happy about a win.

Who’s a better QB right now Drew Lock or Taysom Hill?

FINALLY! the Broncos unleashed Phil and Gordon. They both had great games, but we saw once again that Gordon has troubles securing the ball and almost cost us the game. So glad Shurmur finally got a game plan and didn’t give up on the run. Lock didn’t look great, but he looked so much better after his first 6 attempts he turned it around, and the key to that was running the ball. Broncos were finally able to use play action and the broncos took advantage of that! great to see us get the W and have some optimism going in to #beatTheSaints.
I found the other key to the broncos this year, and RK will agree with me on this because I know he is superstitious. But since I work nights, I sleep during the day, well, on the games where I have completely slept through the broncos games the Broncos are 4-0, and when I have woken up and tried to watch a game they are 0-6. Unfortunately this means I will be trying my hardest to sleep through the rest of the games this season (or at least until it stops working). Thanks for your work guys and Happy Victory Monday!

It is crazy how good this team is when all of the pieces start working together. To completely dominate in all phases against a team many thought to be a playoff team is amazing. We just got to stick with the same formula and we will be good. One thing we need to work on is the deep ball. Lock and the receivers are not on the same page when it comes to deep balls. Got to give a props to shurmur he called a great game. 4th and 1 play needs to be more creative though. I notice shurmur was in the booth this game. Wasn’t sure he if he has been in the booth throughout the whole season or was this the first game. If so keep him up there.

How perfect…. Football team wins, Texans win, Panthers win, Chargers win and Cowboys win. We are going to top 5 in the draft and then we win!?!?! YES!!! We’ve “screwed this” draft position, but it’s always joy for a Broncos win. Hail to the defense!! What a game. Malik Reed, Bradley Chubb, Deshon Williams and co, were great with the help of the DB’s, they shut Tua down.

Finally Shurmur called a balanced attack and what a difference it made. 3rd and longs were less common. And when we had them, Drew made some good throws or made 2 great runs. Hoping Shurmur keeps the balanced attack as next week, the D we face is brutal against the run. Just remember 3rd and 6 is better than 3rd and 10.

Mase was right. Regression talk about the Dolphins. They did. And it said plenty, that the Broncos running game slowed the onslaught of blitzes and gave Drew a chance to step into his throws, which means everything to his success. Thoughts?

can we talk about how good kj hamler is and will be? you look around the league and teams like the ravens and raiders use their speed guys as decoys to open up the offense for everyone else, but seeing hamler make legitimate contributions to the offense is huge and has me excited for the future.

i know that was a polarizing pick in the fanbase but we’re seeing why the broncos had to have him.

Melvin Gordon man. Ok, he ran hard, he ran well. He can certainly break tackles, but jesus its like hes just determined to make sure that Broncos fans dislike him! Hes got a little more power then Phil but these fumbles. Theyre an absolute killer. To me its a funny one, he just doesnt feeeeel like a true Bronco, he feels like a rental, and when he gets the ball, every time now I just wince with fear of an impending fumble or stupid mistake. He doesnt have the breakaway speed he seemed to have in his early days with the Chargers at all anymore. I honestly think that his production could replaced by a drafted back next year, someone like a Zach Moss or of that ilk. His arrival has created this weird hierarchical unknown between between him and Phil, and Phil needs to be recognized as the number one back on this team. I mean Everyone can see it. What are the chances of him being released at years end? Contract wise, what do we need to eat, like 5 million? Ugh.

Ker Clank. That’s the sound of the penny dropping,hopefully. Shurmur has to realise this is the way forward, for now at least. Until Drew grows into the franchise QB we’re all hoping he is we need to help settle him down and a 50/50 split of plays is a perfect way forward.
As decimated as our team is with injuries I think all the back up players really stepped up today.
Is Hamler having a bigger rookie year than Jeudy?

Did… did we just see the fabled Lindsay/Gordon tandem?

Hey guys, everyone is talking about the Sunday night qb matchup and saying we have the worst qb in the division, i know Maholmes is just on a different level than anyone i have ever seen but Car wasn’t like this from the beginning, the Raiders were pacient with him and he has had the same Hc (OC) for the last 3 years, i see no reason Lock can’t get there if the team stays the course for a change.

In my opinion draft and develop is the best strategy in the nfl but we need time to DEVELOP, this does not come overnight, it takes work and time.
2020 and the injuries didn’t help at all, a team needs time to gel, the qb needs to develop chemistry with his wrs, as you reported in training camp Lock threw mostly to Sutton and he was there for a half a game. With a full offseason and the full wr and te groups healthy (touch wood) this offense will look totally different.

Keep up the best coverage on a team there is out there!

I’m not really sure how to write this comment this morning. Outside of a few snippets I caught here and there on my phone from Redzone Channel, I missed watching the Broncos game yesterday for the first time in over 20 years. I had somewhere more important to be. My wife’s father passed away yesterday after two weeks in the hospital with Covid 19. My heart breaks for her. They were told he would never recover and his ventilator was removed allowing him to pass peacefully. He left this earth 17 minutes before kickoff and I have never cared less about a Broncos game. I ask the community for prayers for peace for my wife, her sisters, and her mother. It often feels like we live and die with this football team’s successes and failures. Sometimes it’s positive to have a reminder that that is not the case. I love you all. Keep fighting the good fight.

Guess this NFL thing isn’t as easy as Tua thought, huh? What an ignorant statement he made last week and I still can’t believe he didn’t get killed by the national media for it like most players would. They sure do have their darlings don’t they.

Great team win! I really liked seeing the offensive and defensive guys high fiving each other and having fun. What a different game to watch.

Drew bouncing back after that early pick showed what he has mentally and that is A HUGE deal. That box can be checked for him being a franchise QB.
And when he stays in the pocket and steps into his throws he does look like a franchise QB. If he can keep that up he is going to show out for the last 6 games and give himself a chance to win this job.
I am not sold on him yet as being “the guy”, but I am sold on Drew the guy. I like rooting for him and I am pulling for him to finish strong.

Last thing – we can hang with a Taysom Hill led Saints team if we play like we did yesterday. Vic can go back to his Cam Newton game plan and see if Hill can beat us all game from the pocket.

Good Morning Gents,
Starting the game I was worried seeing the vertical shots and lack of 5ish yard pass plays. I was very pleasantly surprised to see the play calling calm down as the running game kept rolling. Shurmur and Drew got into a consistent groove of small shots down the field. That seems to be the winning strategy with this offense, quick routes to take pressure off of the line and a persistent running game.
Side note: I was able to find a 15 can sampler from Breckinridge brewing here in TX. I was not disappointed

I love Von Miller, and I hope there’s a future where he can restructure and retire as a Bronco. This game against the Dolphins was the first time I’ve been comfortable with this team moving forward without Von. Von would certainly make this team better, but his contract is problematic. For the price, what do you think about moving forward with Reed, Purcell, Shelby, and Chubb on the d-line?

Hey guys! I want to give a helmet sticker to Sam Martin. Dude kicked the seams off the football yesterday, and he utilized the sideline well. Miami has one of the best punt returners in the league this season, and he only managed one return for 6 yards. It seemed like every punt was angled right up against the sideline– just the way Tom McMahon drew it up.

Ryan I gotta give you a little pushback ….. We got a win ! But it was the defense and team effort wasn’t a tua vs drew type of deal
….I still think drew is holding this team back and I hope between him and shurmur they can develop an identity on offense …….but I mean broncos were 3rd and longs and 3 and outs for majority of the first quarter with a team that starts hot in the first quarter the dolphins drew and shurmur we’re trynna give the game away they didn’t and I’m glad but I need more from drew ……or else were a wild card team at best when we’re healthy and drew is not the guy ….jury’s out very mush so on drew still …….

P.s. Melvin gordon is frustrating but you know how broncos fan can start to appreciate him ??? IS IF PAT SHURMUR RUNS SOME SCREEN PLAYS !!! Wow, from the bottom of my heart to the top of my booty, thank you for the birthday shout out on Friday! It really made my day—my year! Something I have noticed it seems our running game has phenomenal results whenever we pull Risner to block especially to the right.  Could make the same argument for Bolles too. I started noticing this against the Patriots.
Do you guys have advanced stats on this for the season?  For run plays when Risner pulls vs not?

Don’t know why we aren’t doing this more often, but looks like Schumur finally started to embrace the skillset of the offensive players as the game went on yesterday was so glad to see that!  Hope we see more of it!

On a comical note: was anyone else like me thinking of comedian Jeff Dunham and Achmed the dead terrorist whenever the announcers mentioned the Dolphins RB Ahmed?  “Silence!… I kill you!”  Melvin Gordon looking at you.  Lol

Being mad at Drew Lock for making mistakes, is like being angry at the rain because it is wet.

I love listening for many reasons but mainly because you all won’t give up on the Broncos! When other outlets are giving negative coverage for the Broncos, you all are positive and still want the Broncos to win! You all also can give the Broncos much needed criticism when warranted. This season is so much better than people are giving it credit for. What I mean is I never expected the Broncos to win the Super Bowl this year, I knew it would be a learning year for them. One of the great positives that’s coming out of this year is that going into next year, we will have the depth needed for a long winning season. Drew will need to continue to learn from his mistakes and get better but imagine Vic looking at his depth chart next year and saying, “who the eff am I going to start today?” Keep up the great work! MY BOYS! Like many, I had low expectations heading into yesterday’s game. I was very concerned about Miami’s pressure packages and penchant for creating turnovers. The Broncos appeared to be in a tailspin with the Dolphins clearly ascending. I did not watch the game live, but following Miami’s lone touchdown of the day, I could only imagine the disgust, despondency, and worse, apathy that was settling upon Broncos Country. Somehow, someway, to their credit, the Broncos, however, displayed resounding resiliency and played dominant football in almost every phase of the game except for their continued inclination to turn the ball over. In the end, the Broncos ended up getting Tua Tagovailoa benched, played the type of defensive football we expect from a Vic Fangio-led unit, which was particularly impressive based on the defensive line currently being held together by bailing wire and duct tape, and made some really smart and sound offensive changes. The final score was not indicative of the Broncos’ dominant performance. If the Broncos’ first quarter interception is not nullified, the Broncos don’t fumble on Miami’s one-yard line, and they convert a fourth down deep in Dolphins’ territory, Denver goes on to score 30 or 34 points while holding the Dolphins to 6. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that the Broncos have turned a corner, but they did show that they are not devoid of talent, heart, and the ability to adapt and adjust. In the end, the Broncos exemplified that the old football clichés, of “Any Given Sunday” and “that’s why they play the game,” still hold true. DNVRMY SALUTE!

This week I’m calling Drew Lock 7/11.

It’s because he’s always reliable and open. Just kidding, it’s because he has 7 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions on the season.

My boys!! I’ve noticed that we have been using a FB at times these last few games…if this was the plan why did we trade Jano? Cox is solid but it makes me miss Jano…I love me some Jano! Also on a more serious note…Can we talk about my guy Garrett Bolles and that NASTY pancake block!? PAY THAT MAN. Speaking of tackles…hypothetically if we were to somehow end up being in a position where Penei Sewell was still on the board when we pick next year & we have already signed GB long-term and presumably have Juwan James coming back…do you still pick Sewell?

Is there something to be said for Lock not trying to win the game on every throw?

His success percentage throwing 30 yds downfield on every drop back is equivalent to Mr Miyagi catching flies with his chopsticks and a punt. On the flip side, taking a profit wether it was 2yds to Phil or a quick screen for 4yds turned the offense into a working machine.
