The Mother Bleeping intro song to this mother bleeping pod sounds even more beautiful than it already does after a mother bleeping performance like we mother bleeping just witnessed. Perna’s reaction to PS(MF)2’s pick 6 says it all, doesn’t it?

whooooooo!

LOVE

What do you think of Kizla’s article reviewing the Vikings game/QB competition? He likens it as a battle to be the 25th Best QB in the league. I think if Fields continues this trend, it will be hard to overlook. LOVED Surtain II today. Kid is a stud. Were gunna trade Callahan right??

People really think Fields looked good? He looked pretty mediocre to me. The dude almost turned the ball over twice. Let’s take a chill pill on the “greener pasture” stuff (which is a *beeping* great pun by the way so I expect you to use it….. USE IT). I’m Surtain of that. (You’re welcome.)

Man I’m pumped. Sure it was preseason. But we kicked the sheet out of them. At all levels of depth.

The “Vikings didn’t play starters” chat is hilarious. Y’all KJ Hamler killed you and hes arguably our 5th best receiving target on the team behind Sutton, Jeudy, Patrick and Fant.

We have depth and it’s great. Should be celebrated.

So of the “22” potential starters, how many played more then a series or 2?

Gentlemen,
I am astounded by the vast difference in the QB performance opinions in the greater media today. Some had Drew in front by a lot ranging to it was a draw?
Excuses were made by both sides. (Because there is no doubt two sides to this so called QB battle)
TBH I am sick to death of this charade.
It is clear the coaching staff want Teddy to win the job, but cannot bring themselves to admit Drew killed it today.
No separation my ass.
Fangio needs to go.
How many godfather t-shirts have you sold?

Sorry – second comment, but…

Does Teddy have the arm to throw either of 2 Drew’s 2 TDs? Maybe the Hamler TD, he was wiiide open, and could have pulled up for a floater, but the TB12 TD was just beautiful. Ziiiiiiiiiiip

My boys!

A couple of thoughts from the AWESOME preseason game:

I need two things: more cowbell and more Netani Muti! I also need some of the Drew Lock haters to acknowledge that yes it is important to remember it was not the Vikings’ first defense, but he undeniably looked like a different QB. Practiced, poised, smart, and consistent. My name is Steven and even I know this competition is far from even after that. Come on man! He’s just gotta do it in Seattle and that should seal it yes?

Much love, keep up the awesome work

My Peoples!

Teddy had one play that I absolutely hated, and it was a completion for positive yards lol. He rolled out to his right and was facing pressure so I will give him that. He completed the pass to the TE Saubert(?) but he also had Trinity Benson streaking WIDE OPEN just 10 yards deeper. It looked like Benson was running just a deeper version of the route that Saubert was running, and to the same side of the field. Its hard to complain about a completion for a gain of ten or so yards, but this is the prime example of Teddy being to safe. If he just sees Benson running wide open right there, I think we are talking about a much closer day between Drew and Teddy.

Hi guys,

Feels like I’m on a rollercoaster, bad practice, good practice, good Teddy, bad Drew, good Drew, bad Teddy, then……Viking demolition, lets hope the good form stays…Cheers

hey guys!

can we talk about how well the o-line played in pass pro? the run-blocking really tailed off towards the end, but i was impressed at how good the protection all throughout the game.

pff credits them with only 2 pressures throughout the game. and i know it was ‘only’ the vikings second unit, but guys like armon watts, stephen weatherly and dj wonnum were beating up on our first team o-line at the first joint practice so to see our backups and their backups shut them down was good to see.

with that in mind, i’m a *little* hesitant to get excited about drew’s performance because he was rarely under pressure. his performance under pressure was some of the worst in the league last year, so i’d like to see him tested in that area before i jump back on the train. what do y’al lthink?

What it DREWWWWW BAYBEEEE ( KHAWI LEONARD VOICE ) …..DREW MAKE PEOPLE RAT THEIR WORDS WITH YOUR PLAY …… Make all the Drew lock ” apologist validated ” your weapons are there I pray your protection is there ( I’m concerned about our interior online alot btw ) …….. But drew everything you need to succeed is there and surprisingly ……PAT SHIRUMUR IS DOING HIS BEST TO MAKE.U SUCCESS FUL ! …….

WHICH leads to my question of the day …. I’m that was the Rick scangerelllo play fellas ….. Did we make a mistake giving drew lock the keys and not.taking rich and t.c. along for the ride ?

Love the show MUTI.LOOKED AWESOME IN THE RUN !!! got some work to.dk in the pass pro tho

I was SO pumped to see both Drew and Teddy play well on Saturday. Not only them but a great game by so many other guys. Well done!

That said, as I thought about it after the game and on Sunday, I had to consciously dial back my enthusiasm a bit. As great as it is to see Drew play great for a game, we shouldn’t be THAT surprised. We’ve seen him explode before, only to fall off a cliff shortly thereafter.

I’m deeply in “show-me” mode, and need to see consistent, sustained success before I’ll believe that we’re seeing anything more than another blip of success on the radar. We need more deep bomb connections, more good decision-making, and a consistent lack of interceptions. So, for me, I’m at a point of very cautious optimism.

What do you guys need to see from Drew to get to a point beyond CAUTIOUS optimism and actually feel comfortable with him as a starter for us?
Do you need to see something different, or more, from Teddy to get a point of similar optimism for him?

Man what a game! The best part was watching PS2 pick six to the endzone I was sitting in! Drew looked great and so did teddy! I want to point out that Teddy was not going against insanely good pass rushers, but holy cow he was navigating the pocket by stepping up and moving around to avoid defenders so well. If he could teach drew to do that then I would bet drew would win this QB Battle easily. What do you all think about Teddy’s ability to sense pressure?

After about 3 years of freeloading, you got me. I love the pods and haven’t missed one since I found the BSN Broncos Podcast in the 2018 offseason. Since this is my first comment, I wanted to introduce myself. I am another listener from North Dakota, currently living in Fargo. I have been a fan my whole life and have planted my flag in Vikings Country. I have been to 5 games in my life so far, but have yet to witness a win! 4 of the 5 games we have been leading coming into the 4th quarter only to blow it. I may be bad luck. I hope to change this as I am going to be in Jacksonville for week 2 this year! If we lose, you can blame me. I have only been to 1 game in Denver and have made it a goal to watch the Broncos play in as many stadiums as I can in my life. Thanks for all of the hard work. I truly appreciate the great coverage.
P.S. I will be in Denver later this year and have already told my wife that I am spending some time at the DNVR Bar to get my member beer!

hey guys, can you see this team like a version of the Sanchez-Rex Ryan Jets?, play great defense, good special teams, run the ball and let your Qb do just enough to win the game. this kind of teams are very difficult to play late in the year.

I know the whistle sometimes gets Drew in practice but in games he doesn’t take many sacks, why do you think this is?

to everyone watching that is not a member you should go signup now, trust me you will love it.
