It’s time to say it:
Broncos so-called “faithful” need a reality check.
Since 2015, we have identified as THE issue, and changed:
Head Coach 3x
QB 11x
GM 1x
Ownership 1x
What do we have left to change? How about we look to a common football-ism we love to throw out but not self apply?
Stop pointing the finger, start pulling the thumb.
No Broncos fan in their right mind would think of leaving a Fangio-coached, Lock-led Broncos team in overtime.
Where did this entitlement evolve to where we can’t stand a single three and out? And we’re still laying it at the feet of an organization who has made every change we could want?
I am not shaming you, Broncos fans. I just encourage you to look inward. The last time we had the Chargers on a Monday night, 2-3, we didn’t act like this.
That was a “remember where I was, who I was with” sort of game. Can you imagine the current fan climate if we went down 24-0 in the first half on Monday?
Now we are surrounded twitter trolls confirming all their own ‘hot takes’.
We get one data point a week and have the other 6 days to look for confirmation of our bias on social media. One helmet gets slammed and everyone becomes an expert on what is happening in the locker room.
Broncos fans, you hear all the reasons we are in a death spiral, but no one EVER lets you know when they’re wrong!
We all need to take a step back, think about all the things we just suffered through, and stop acting like we DESERVE instant gratification.
This is a ride. Rides have ups and downs. This team of people is too smart, too talented, and working too hard to make the ups happen, for me to think they aren’t right around the corner. Lets make sure that we deserve that reward for our patience.
In solidarity with that; If we do not make the playoffs, I will issue a formal apology. I will additionally issue a $100 charitable donation to a charity of this pod’s choice.
The Faithful Keep The Faith.

I’m not weary of Broncos football but I’m absolutely exhausted by the hot takes from “fans”.
Oooh look at me! I watched the all-22 film once and it proves the team hates Russell Wilson! He’s washed just like I said Brady was in 2019, 2020 and 2021! Cut Wilson now, bring back Lock, and let’s get Shanny out of retirement!
I’m just glad none of these people are in charge of the team
Personally I’m taking the long view. Maybe they figure it out this season or maybe they don’t. I do believe they are closer to the solution than they were last season. If I’m wrong, Rob Walton will dig some more change out of his couch cushions and we’ll give it another shot.
In the meantime I’ll be watching at our bar here in Chicago. Then at least I’ll be enjoying time with my friends even if the football is bad.

Hi boys,
Really enjoyed yesterday’s show. Something I don’t enjoy? Broncos Twitter. Holy crap are people short sighted!
It would have been awesome if this team had it all figured out early on, but they don’t. It’s early! If you’re ready to call it quits on EITHER Hackett or Russ already, let me quote The Princess Bride to you: “Get used to disappointment.”
Also, can we talk about how absolutely dreadful NFL officiating has become? Not even related to the Broncos (although there have been many missed holdings against our Defense) but league wide, it’s a serious problem. It blows my mind that a corporation as prominent as the NFL continues to get away with awful officiating! There have to be consequences for objectively bad calls.

My boys,
Conspiracy time!
Russell’s so called injury has been deliberately over played to the media…..
The chargers are sitting back now thinking, he can’t throw deep, so we can defend short passes and the run better! Then monday night KJ gets deep in man on man, wide open and scores, all part of Russell’s plan!
Sometimes it helps to laugh in dark times!

I love a shiny tin hat now and then
Am I the only one that thinks it’s wild that Nathaniel Hackett is getting panned over the whole “I got the go to go for it..” situation?
There seems to be this implication that he delegated his decision making duty and Jerry Rosburg was in charge of a critical end of game situation, whereas it just seems to me like Hackett was doing the due diligence of asking the analytics guy “Is what I’m about to do stupid?” before he goes for it on 4th down to try to win the game. Is that not the whole point of hiring the dude? I get that Hackett hasn’t exactly gotten off to a smooth start but I’ve never seen people so eager for a guy to fail, especially in the national discourse.

As Faulkner once said, “You cannot swim for new horizons until you have courage to lose sight of the shore.” Have we treaded into the Sublime? Can we begin to dog paddle towards a new, roaring light yet?
