My boys, I live in west Texas and currently have no power in my home, so this kinda sucks. For all my bronco lovin Texans with no power out there, stay strong and I hope everybody is being safe! Anyway, broncos news, I can’t with all these rumors, every other day it’s something else, which pretty much tells me 1 thing, no body knows jack. I want Watson or Lock. Lock has the tools, why it All that is holy would you bring in a bridge to make us go 8-8 or 9-7? Stick with Lock or give me a Huge swing with Watson. Why have you guys (outside of RK) completely given up on Lock? I know he played bad, but at one point we thought he could be THE GUY! How did we turn on this guy so quickly? Give him a chance, I really do think he will surprise!
Also side note, I found an Antoine Winfield taunting tyreek hill shirt at Redbubble.com, so if anybody wanted one of those, you can find them there. Thanks you guys, everybody stay safe in these crazy times!

I’m glad you guys were entertained by the new username. Don’t worry, your system isn’t broken, I just got an idea and in the words of the great Dr. Ian Malcom: life finds a way. I’ve gone through about 6 different user names in my tenure as a DNVR subscriber and none of them ever really felt right, but I think this one might just stick.

As a miserable Nebraska fan in my twenties, I’ve been doing some reminiscing of the Bo Pelini days (yes, Pelini. I was a baby when Osborne was around). In Bo Pelini 9-win fashion, for the next 15 years, would you rather the Broncos go 10-6 or 11-5 every year just to bow out in the wild card round of the playoffs (no worse, no better), or they win a Super Bowl, yet manage to go 6-10 or worse the other 14 years? Thanks for the great content my dudes

Hey Zac, Thank you so much for reaching out to me on Twitter! I know you are really busy and having you to take time out of your day to answer my question was awesome I really appreciate that!

As my name reads I am a North Dakota kid and love all Denver sports (Except the Rockies… but the Twins aren’t much of an upgrade). I would like to ask Mase what would you rather cheer for? A team gifting their players away or a team that has not won a playoff GAME since 2001?

On to my Broncos question. When I was in college I had the opportunity to see NDSU play several of games. I have seen Brock Jenson, Carson Wentz, Easton Stick, and Tre Lance all play at NDSU and all be successful. To people who have never seen the Bison (pronounced Bizon) they play a prostyle offense where they power run and use the play action quite often. They always have superior lines both Offense and Defense, and have multiple Rbs that they use to ram the ball down the field. With that being said I think the Colts made the right move to get Wentz. He is so good under center (which he didn’t do much in Philly) and with a solid RB in Taylor. I think they need one more WR to fully make that offense click however. I’m not saying this will happen but the Colts could be very good next year. So do you think the Broncos with the current roster they have right now could have success with Lance?

Hey guys! Earlier in the week Mase mentioned how the late Vincent Jackson was one of the greatest Colorado High School athletes to ever make it to the NFL. It got me thinking, who would you place on the Mount Rushmore of players in this category? Here’s a list of additional nominees to consider: Byron Whizzer White, Christian McCaffrey, Dalton Risner, Phillip Lindsay, Tony Boselli, Tom Rouen, Dave Logan and Jack Christiansen (btw, in case people don’t know who this is, I’ll drop a second comment with a summary and link about him so people can read on their own, because he has a fascinating history).

The best I ever played with was Dirk Johnson. He was an exceptional athlete who both ran and passed for over 1k yards his senior year. He played for the Eagles in Super Bowl XXXIX, and was the biggest, most athletic person I ever remember playing with. After a long run on a broken play our coach once yelled at all of us, “You guys have to block one person, because Dirk can break all the tackles!” So it caught me off guard to see him on TV standing next to Donovan McNabb and look like.. well.. a punter. lol

Jack Christiansen is an NFL Hall of Fame player who attended the Odd Fellows Orphanage High School in Canon City. He won a championship with the Detroit Lions in the 50’s playing alongside Bobby Layne and Doak Walker. He was a talented defensive back who intercepted 46 passes in his career and returned 8 punts for touchdowns. However, his athletic career was nearly cut short his senior year in high school when he was shot in the elbow by the Chief of Police after moving a back rack into the middle of the street as a prank. What a fascinating character! Here’s a link if you want to know more about him, if it doesn’t work, just google: Jack Christiansen Harmless Prank

Say Deshaun Watson hits the open market, can the Broncos sign him and then cut players/ adjust things to make cap Room available? Or does the Room have to be available before they can sign a free agent?

Bum Talk Friday – Bum Phillips once said, “You don’t know a ladder has splinters until you slide down it.” Broncos’ fans rear ends have surely succumbed. Other than a qb move, how will Paton most quickly help us climb back up a few rungs this season?

Fellas, after bumming off you guys for a about a year I decided to join the family and what better day than bum talk Friday! You got me! You’ll be seeing more of me around.

For my first comment I just wanted to say I really appreciate the work you guys do! I look forward to the pod every day and love putting it on and doing something productive. In the last year I’ve bought a house and had a baby so my free time has converted to “productive time” and I love it! I’m really looking forward to hitting the bar and hopefully meeting you guys! First beer on me! Keep up the good work. You guys are doing something special for Colorado sports.

P.S. I love the movie The Waterboy! If you haven’t watched it then you should check it out – best football movie out there!

Fellas happy Friday!

Love the idea of moving up to get a qb (if can’t get Watson) but I think my preference is Justin Fields. If they can move up to #3 only giving next years #1 and this years 9th overall, I would do that all day. Just my thoughts after listening to all the proposed moves yesterday. Thanks for the quality coverage and have a great weekend!

I’m curious not to be a party pooper but the dnvr poll on which qb situation we should take was DISTURBING …. Why are bronco fans doing this to themselves with Watson there’s a 15-20% chance he’s a bronco and there’s almost 4 teams who can offer more then we can ….. We have much better options gaining draft capital making a push for a qb next year then trading the farm for the Watson and I’m nervous that broncoscountry is letting themselves down #1 and #2 that they’ll blame Paton when we don’t get Watson idk …. It’s a little frustrating that people aren’t being practical

Well….. Weirdo was a term of endearment for Plummer. Was it 45 td’s & 17int’s in Denver? Kinda reminds of an eyeliner wearing raider huh?

Mase says 2021’s draft is a patchwork guess, ? ok….. Can we give all the picks an drew for Watson?

MY BOYS! Happy bum talk/Three Ring Circus Friday! I am very much looking forward to the new Friday segment that DNVR announced yesterday. David Niven said, “Keep the circus going inside you; keep it going. Don’t take anything too seriously; it’ll all work out in the end.” If you three were in a circus, what would be each of your roles? Have a fascinating Friday! DNVRMY SALUTE!

Fellas,

With Tim Tebow officially retiring, it made me think about his time with the Broncos. From what you guys have heard over he years, what was Josh McDaniels plan for him? Did he think he would be able to create a playbook that would make Tebow’s skill set work in the NFL?

What’s going on my g’s? I wanted to share something that may be somewhat amusing to you guys before getting into my question. So when it comes to sports toxicity on social media, I am usually the last person to respond to people or comment about anything on my mind bc it just isnt my style. I am usually just chill. Well with all of this Deshaun Watson talk, I wanted to do my part by speaking it into existence the best that I can. I decided to dust off the twitter fingers and shamelessly let them loose! I have been commenting on all the haters, posting deshaun cropped in a denver uniform under everyone elses cropped deshaun pictures, breaking down how good our roster is for him, arguing with fans of other teams…etc. It must be working because since I unleashed the twitter fingers Denver has become the betting odds to land him AND it gained enough traction for the Mile High Report to write about it in an article lol. The article shows me arguing with a chiefs fan on twitter lol comical to say the least because we were arguing about the historical success of the Broncos and the chiefs. Seeing that before Mahomes, they hadnt won a super bowl in 50 or 60 years, I obviously won the argument lol

Question: The Broncos have probably had over 50-60 1st rd draft pics (maybe more) in the history of our franchise and have yet to select a legit home grown QB. The same goes for many other organizations. With that being said why dont we just offer not 3, not 4, not 5, (in my lebron james voice) but 6 1st rd picks just to make sure we land him? We have spent way more pics looking for a qb and still havent found a single one. After all, QB is by far the most important position right? Woudnt 6 1st rd picks guarantee landing him? We have a solid enough core and cap to keep talent around him during those years. What do you guys think?

By the way, RK hands down won the poptart draft. Smores are the best followed by brown sugar and maple. Strawberry is a distant 3rd (shout out to Mase)

My fault for the long comment, yall stay blessed!

My gut feeling is the Broncos will work something out with Von, Justin and Kareem. What do you guys think with Jurell Casey? He’s the one that could go either way.

Here’s my list of no we shouldn’t.

1. Darnold
2. Dalton
3. All the retreads… Tyrod and the others.

As Mase picked up on, I want either a Superstar or a young player with upside. My preferred QB’s are, in this order.

1. Watson, or the Texan who wears #4, Deshaun would work too. D. Watson would work and the Texans QB would work also.

2. Deshaun Watson would work, but if not… Trevor or Russell

3. If it’s draft time, move up for Lawrence or Wilson.. Skip Fields and might take a flyer on Lance or Mac

Zac may love this, but I wouldn’t have problem moving down, picking up Mac Jones and maybe moving up from the 2nd to get J.O.K.

Thoughts?
