Since Sean Payton came to town, there has been a lot of talk about the future of the Denver Broncos’ wide receiver room. There have been rumors reports indicating the Broncos are open to trading Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton and/or K.J. Hamler for the right price. The Broncos were also close to signing Allen Lazard before he signed with the New York Jets. On Monday, Adam Thielen revealed he had conversations with the Broncos about potentially joining them before he signed with the Carolina Panthers. With all of this talk, could Odell Beckham Jr. be in the mix for the Broncos to sign? Additionally, is newly signed punter Riley Dixon a lock to win the starting job over Corliss Waitman? It might not be as much of a lock as you may think.

I absolutely LOVE that Dixon is coming home! Even though his stats aren’t an enormous upgrade over Waitman, I love the Dixon signing for several reasons. First, as RK pointed out, he’s an athletic freak at punter. His trick plays at Syracuse were electric and something that was never utilised while he was at Denver. His speed, arm-talent and elusiveness were totally wasted. Secondly and far more importantly; a few years ago, I tagged him in an NFL post to tag your favourite player and he liked my comment! This cemented his picture as my laptop background throughout my high school years. Finally and most importantly, in 2018 with the help of Bradley Chubb, TE Jake Butt and long snapper Christian Kuntz, Dixon finished off the greatest law firm the broncos have ever had: Chubb, Butt, Dixon, Kuntz. If only we had Fletcher Cox…

What’s up guys! Did yall know that for 22 consecutive seasons a former University of Georgia player has been in the Superbowl? That means that statistically speaking you are more likely to make the Superbowl if you have a UGA player on your team. The only issue is that the Broncos currently do not have anyone on the roster with ties to the defending back-to-back national champions. I have a few solutions to solve this. Easily option number one: signing Ben Jones. We need a center. Option 2: Yall’s idea to trade for Nick Chubb yesterday. I absolutely love the idea of Chubb being a Bronco. Option 3: the draft. We need a pass-catching RB and do you know who had the most receiving yards by a back in the cfb last season? Georgia’s Kenny McIntosh, who we could easily get in the 3rd or 4th round! Others I would advocate for are Warren Ericson, a talented Georgia O-lineman who will go in later rounds. I also would love to see THE Stetson Bennet IV drafted to Denver as a backup. If anyone can get the most out of a shorter QB (Who is still taller than Bryce Young, Zac) it would be Sean Payton. Stetson would thrive as a backup in his offense. Just think about it. The Broncos and UGA have great history already: Champ Bailey, Terrell Davis, Knowshon. It’s time we revive the Georgia to Denver pipeline! what say you? (And of course, Go Dawgs)
